While enjoying lunch, I watched the television that was showing the quick results for now. Unlike the area where I am located, where other regional elections exist that have not deposited the results of their TPS vote.
This is only natural because Sabang to Merauke is very broad. Not yet geographical conditions there are difficult to achieve because in remote areas. I even heard that some have to use air and sea lines to deliver TPS equipment. It is natural that the calculation results will also experience a slowdown due to these conditions.
I myself have not thought about the results of the TPS where I come from, because the next will be done by RT sir. I as a member have decided not to think about the task anymore because everything is done. Looking at the current condition of the quick count, I could only shake my head.
Wh why? Because if we look at the quick count results from various media, all show different results. Some win party A, and some win party B. I don't know who is right or wrong. It seems that there are parties who support one of the candidates.
'wow, why is it different from gini?' I murmured in my heart.
This situation also causes the Indonesian universe to discuss this issue. I myself only as an observer just give comments to some posts that discuss this issue. Of course, by using polite and polite language. Because now we also have to take responsibility for the type of finger we do. It is not just the mouth that must be guarded for this age.
*Tv* off*
Satisfied by the confusing news of right and wrong, I decided to turn off the television and prepare to leave for Tangerang. Since I have permission today, it would be bad if I asked for permission to return for the next day.
Indeed, on election day the office is off and no one goes to the office. At first I thought it was enough and the night could go back to Tangerang. But apparently, the workload for 24 hours makes my body weak, so it takes one day to recover.
Fortunately the office still allows me permission, even though there has not been a month I work in this place. I am also grateful to have taken the right steps so that I can rest for one day. Especially after I saw the news that was popping up.
"The KPPS committee claimed hundreds of lives. The government prepares condolences for the families of the abandoned victims."
"A..what!? Seriously is?"
I was surprised to see this news. Gratitude I say a lot because in my area, things like this do not happen. Of course, all my prayers go out to the families and the victims who have become heroes in this election activity.
Lately I just found out that actually this happens due to several factors. The main factor is of course because the election is merged into one so that it adds the workload of the committee on the same day.
This is done because according to them, it will reduce the cost of the election. But I think it's a little strange that just for that reason even so many victims fall. Because the life of every human being cannot be set aside just to save costs. Surely the government immediately caught up when this news came out.
I also find it strange because it should be before the KPPS are recruited, they have to pass several kinds of tests such as health tests. So that people who are members should be healthy people and do not have comorbid diseases.
Continue to laugh, when I do KPPS activities. Election activity does cause fatigue because 6 hours more we have to stand by to supervise election activities to run smoothly. In addition, other things that make us tired are the process of calculating the sound and also the documentation of the sound.
Why does that cause fatigue? because the calculation method is still manual so it requires people's power. Surely if hundreds of ballots must be counted manually, it requires a lot of energy, right? In addition, when voting is done, sometimes there are witnesses from the party who ask for a recalculation.
The reasons vary, some are because their voice calculations do not match with us, or for other reasons. Fortunately the witnesses in our place were not very pushy. So even though there is a difference in the number of calculations, because the difference is not too large. Recalculation was not done at all.
I can only imagine what if the area that was the witness was insistent on asking for a recount of votes many times. Once a time can count it jemper, especially if many times. That is why maybe this is also one of the reasons why victims can fall.
The last thing I think might make the KPPS committee tired is the complicated documentation many times over. If according to my senior in the committee, the previous election signed enough officers chairmen only. But now, all members must sign and also make a copy of the documentation of 7 sheets and write hands. It takes time and manpower to make it.
Luckily where I held the election no major incident happened. I am very grateful to the Creator, still able to survive and undergo activities as usual. Hopefully the families left behind are given fortitude and from this incident, hopefully the government can be more careful in taking policies for the future. We don't want something like this to happen again.
‘Hah, it's tired to think of things like this. But it is very important for us citizens to know the condition of our own country. There is no way we are indifferent because this is our homeland, the homeland of Indonesia.’
Making sure I have read all the important news, I prepare to go back to Tangerang. At this time there is no working method from home so I have to go back to the office when all the business here is done. Because of the condition of the body, I asked to be escorted by the father only by private vehicle to Tangerang, not using public transportation like baisa.
Of course, on the way. You asked a lot of things about the activities of KPPS yesterday. Because I want to keep my father's feelings, I did not say words that hurt him like I really hate him for entering me into the KPPS committee while I did not want to. Because after all, he is our parent and as a child is obliged to be kind to parents. Although sometimes there are parents who do not deserve our respect. It's just my personal opinion, it's up to you how to deal with each other's parents.
Because each family has different problems that lead to different solutions. Do not force the values in your family to other families. Worrying about incompatibility due to the ethics and culture of the local community.
“Thank you pah, om Maman. Already drove here”
“Iya son. Who diligently yes work, father go home first”
After traveling for an hour and a half, I finally returned to Tangerang. Of course I say goodbye to my father and Om Maman who brought me to this place. Then I went straight back to the room after preparing dinner for today (buy outside). Finish worship, dinner, and playing mobile phone. I finally got back to rest to do my office tomorrow.
What activities will I do next?
