The Colorful Work World
Ch. 115 Blood Donation

After hearing that interesting thing, I again listened to the story of Patience about Mr. Tian. Before me, he had done the same thing with other employees. Indeed, people like this work crazy, but the empathy is very small. Not very suitable to work as a boss in my opinion someone like this. Employee work stop suddenly, yes panic is them. Especially those that have a need for trees every month.

I myself am still single so no family members are dependents. I am also thankful that there is no debt so I am safe. In addition to this core job, I also have additional income from taking care of the beds. So that not entirely my source of income is lost completely. But still, the most income for work in Elektronik Jaya is fatal if it is cut now.

Especially yesterday I just got good news from my prospective life partner (Later to be discussed in its own chapter). Because of this incident, it seems like my time to give up single will increase. I hope he can be patient until the time comes. It's not good that it takes too long to keep him waiting.

Finished chatting with Mr. Patience, I say goodbye because I do not want to disturb him who has a job again after thisil. It is not good if I over time confide so that the task that Mr. Sabar has cannot be done. I will definitely miss the time before the covid where I often pray in the mosque and also have lunch together with Pak Sabar.

A few days later, I went back and forth from home and Tangerang. One side to take care of work experience documents. One more to take care of the items in the contract. Because there's still some stuff of mine that hasn't been moved from there. Understandably because the contract notification is not extended it is also impromptu.

Approximately one week, finally all the business in the office Elektronik Jaya completed. I also took all my personal belongings inside the office. The goods in Tangerang rented were also completely taken and now I have returned to live at home again with my parents.

There is also the joy and sadness of living together with parents. The most delicious thing is, I no longer need to wash clothes and also cook myself. All the parents and the maid took care of it. I can focus on finding a job after this one's done. At first I was optimistic that I would be able to get a job in the near future. But, apparently, destiny says something else.

From the time the contract stopped, it was almost a year before I got another official job and got a salary. But before I got there, there were a lot of things that happened before I could get a new job. One of the interesting things is, I did a blood donation.

Why is this interesting? for some people, this may be done. Or there are also people who do not care at all and do not want to donate blood. I myself before this incident had never done this blood donor activity at all. The incident started when I was at home and was browsing the internet while looking for work.

[Ray, again at home right? to the hospital yes. Someone needs a blood donor]

[Okay, wait a minute. Ray get there immediately]

Coincidentally because I was not busy, I went straight to the hospital where mom was. Mr. now since Mbah kakung died, often back and forth from the hospital to wash blood. I heard today he was also in the hospital asking for a blood donor. Because the hemoglobin in his blood was reduced, he had to get extra blood to keep his body healthy.

At this moment it happens that the acquaintance of the mother is also in need of blood. His blood type is the same as mine. That's why I agreed to donate blood to that person. Even though I don't know who that person is.

From home, I took off on my favorite motorcycle. This bike has been with me since I was in college semester knows, it has been more than five years he is in every moment of my college and every time I charge a bedeng. The trip to the hospital did not take long, only about 10 minutes, I had arrived at the hospital. The trip was also smooth no congestion occurred.

The hospital I visited was quite large and was one of the RS owned by SOEs in my place. Many people who choose to seek treatment here because the facilities are more complete and also the road is more accessible than the access to regional RS. Coincidentally also mbah subscription in this place because he had entered into an employee at the same company but not in the health sector.

‘PMI...Where is the location of the PMI office? oh, meet! here anyway apparently.’ A few minutes after looking at the map, I memorized the map and also asked the security guard about the road I had to go to to get there.

“Excuse me sir.”

“Iya, what's up?”

“You want, which PMI office is next?”

With a smile he clearly showed me the path I had to go through to get there. After meeting the officer's love, I immediately walked to the place. A few minutes later, I arrived and saw my mother and father from a distance. I waved to them and then kissed their hands when they got to where they were.

“Have come you son. Let's go inside to get the file and also the tension test. It was Mamah who wanted a donor, but was rejected because it was too high.”

“Alright mah.”

I entered the front room of the PMI office. There are already officers who provide forms that must be filled out before making a donor. As a person who likes to read, all the writing on the form is read carefully. Then I asked the officer about the unclear part of how to fill it. Because I really do not like if there is wrong data filled out, more precisely males nulis again. It is better to write neat, clear, and do not need to repeatedly fill the form to save time and effort.

After all the data was filled in, I handed it to the officers and they read it first. A few minutes later, he pulled out a tension device that I was familiar with. At home, there are the same tools. Mothers and dads use it every day and when their heads start to get dizzy. They both have a history of tension.

“Dites first yes pak”

“OK, please mbak”

The officer asked politely for my hand to do a tension check. I wonder what my lens will look like. Hopefully, the results are in line with expectations.
