Ch. 83 The Beginning of Pandemic

After dropping by at school, I went to bedeng to return to collect the rent. If you remember, my parents had a contract business. So as a child I helped them to manage it. Although I still have to go back and forth from Tangerang to my hometown, which took 2 hours. I keep trying routine at least once every two weeks to go home on Friday afternoon and return to Tangerang on Sunday afternoon.

Time just passed by, nothing special happened the next few months. Until. pandemic attacks Indonesia.

Already since December of last year\, the issue about this virus spread on W*h*n. Many rumors sprung up. Especially about the possibility of Indonesia also affected by the Lunar. Because at that moment\, the Chinese from Indonesia will return to their country\, then return to Indonesia. This makes the residents worried that the dangerous virus will attack Indonesia.

That is because those from W*h*n there\, go back to Indonesia so that it allows the virus to also spread here. Unfortunately\, our government seems ill-prepared to deal with this problem.

Seen from some of the statements they issued to calm the people. The point is they assume that the virus will not go to Indonesia. Either the reason the virus is afraid of the heat, along with other strange reasons. But apparently, destiny says something else.

From one restaurant in one of the major cities, the plague spread throughout Indonesia. Many people are afraid and do not want to admit to having contact with people who are indicated to be exposed to the virus.

Many people travel in the absence of good health because it is still the beginning of the pandemic. In the end, the whole of Indonesia was affected.

Business premises on closed for health protocols. The economy was affected, as well as many people who were affected by the termination of employment. I'm one of the people who's worried about being affected as well.

Fortunately for now, I still work normally with a normal salary as well. Early in the pandemic, my office came in as usual. But over time, we finally did enter in turns. Not to form a crowd

A few weeks since that day. Policy is constantly changing. Sometimes I go to work, sometimes I work from home. For a long time, every day always online at home and never to the office.

At first I thought Indonesia only took a few months to avoid this outbreak. But it turns out that it has been 3 months, there has been no significant development.

Seeing such a situation, I decided to return to my hometown while working from home. Because why in rented alone if the work turns out at home too. Time continued to pass with the habits of Indonesian life gradually began to transform.

A few months later, I felt a pity that the contract had never been used but was still being paid. Until in the end, I decided to take off the contract and take all the items that were there. Before I was sure to get out of the contract, I discussed this with the parents first. They agreed to it because unfortunately also pay expensive but the contract was never used.

Hopefully, that won't happen anytime soon. At work from home (wfh), I used the office laptop I brought home. Surely I have to take good care of it because there is a lot of company data there.

Many people are stressed because they can not get out of the house because of the pandemic. But I am very lucky because I can still work and income is not affected by the outbreak that is happening in Indonesia.

But as always, if I live with parents, there are certainly many things I do for them when I need help. As a devoted child, I must be ready if at any time parents need help.

The one thing I never miss is charging. If when I work in Tangerang, tired of going back and forth every 2 weeks. During the pandemic, it was easier for me to charge them for not going to Tangerang anymore. Closer and not tired because now it is always standby at home due to pandemic.

Travel energy can be moved to full focus on charging for rent. Believe it or not, charging that person requires a lot of energy and patience. And good communication. Because not everyone will respond politely when we charge. A lot of cases? people who owe even sound louder than those who collect debt.

Especially when you meet a lot of arrears. I just want to hit it so I can pay it off. But I have to be patient because collecting debts must also be in a good way. If they are angry, they may pay. But if they pay while nagging it will be not good too.

This pandemic changed everything. People's life patterns change, people's habits change, so get a new normal designation. I don't know how long this situation will continue. But for sure, all parties must work together to deal with this pandemic that occurred. We must not just ask the government to address it. People must also participate by adhering to health protocols and rules created to tackle pandemics.

People so more often use masks even though there are still some who sometimes howl also the mask. You also have to learn how to use a good and correct mask. Free to wear a mask but how to wear it is still wrong. It should be more orderly when queuing and also have to keep distance, and many other changes.

It feels like I am traveling, because passenger capacity is reduced by 50 percent. So that when riding a bus or train, the place becomes more spacious, even though it is because the people who ride are reduced.

There was an issue he said the public transport fleet was reduced so that people did not travel. But it turns out, it produces new problems. People became queued because the number of fleets was reduced, but the number of prospective passengers remained the same. As a result, many protested against the policy. It also creates an unwanted crowd.

Many countries are not prepared for this outbreak. Therefore, as much as possible we look for the right information about health protocols and stop providing hoax information. With everyone's cooperation, Indonesia is sure to win against the pandemic.

Don't forget about 3m. Wash your hands, wear a mask, and keep your distance. Because so far, this method is the most powerful way to fight the covid virus 19. While waiting later there are more definite methods to prevent or overcome pandemics.
