A week after I started working in Tangerang. Before the arrival of Bona. I got something surprising. At first I thought the first week could relax first in Tangerang. But it seems that circumstances still do not allow.
*today Thursday*
“halo mamah, how are you?” I said when I called my mom.
“Good mas, how does it work there?”
“Surf mah, alhamdulilah. How are things there?”
Mom was silent for a moment and said “Nak, you will come home Friday right? mr... hospital admission due to stroke” Sounded mother's voice sad when saying this.
“Astaghfirullah! is that right, mah? when!? now again treated where!?”
Mom immediately told me about the incident that happened to my father after driving me to Tangerang.
I started my usual activities after driving me to Tangerang. At that time, I was not aware that he was starting to get sick. Even his office mates realized it the first time. This is more or less what happens based on the story of the mother.
While in the office, one of my office friends wondered after seeing the state of the father.
“Toto's pack is healthy? like his face was pale? don't want a pain permit?”
“Gak, I'm not papa, healthy kok”
Moments after saying so, the pen he was holding suddenly fell down. I saw his hands that were already shaking. Seeing that, everyone in the office immediately forced him to go to the hospital.
Apart from the hands, the father also experienced the lips start to tilt and look stiff. As a result, when you talk, other people have difficulty hearing what you are talking about. But what power, his hard attitude even blame the person he was talking to.
“Budek very sih” shouted the father while his mouth tilted
Though the wrong should be a father who is sick so the talk is less clear. Hearing news from the father's office, the mother immediately drove the father to be treated. According to the doctor, he needs to rest for at least one week.
Then he also had to undergo therapy to train his nerves can move as normal again. Doctors also said that the cause of this stroke is an unhealthy lifestyle. Especially because you still smoke and also eat ducks that have high cholesterol levels. Ketapean is also another factor because he had a stroke after tired of going to Tangerang.
Fortunately you did not enter the ICU room and only in a regular room. This is what makes mothers able to visit their fathers freely. Although I also feel sorry to hear that mom went back and forth from the hospital because her dad wanted to be kept by mom. Mom also has to work in the office.
Even to sleep must be in the hospital to take care of the father. I could only shake my head to see a spoiled father like this. It means again. Lucky mother does not matter this and also did not fall ill because of looking after the father. My mother is a superwoman.
Hearing mom's story up here, I can only say to mom “Yes Allah, dad. It is difficult to remind . Well then, I'll be home mom, Friday afternoon. May be at Home at night around 9.”
“OK deh Ray, be careful on the road huh. Do not fall asleep on the road and take care of luggage. Prone to lose if in the bus.”
“Seep mah, thank you for the suggestion” said me while hanging up the phone after giving greetings to mother.
‘ada-there only my inner father’ in heart.
At first I was very lazy to go home directly when there was not a week I enjoyed life in this rent tangerang. Staying in a rented house made me remember my college days. Very free and calm to do anything. There is no supervision from parents that sometimes makes you upset.
Though I really look forward to spending the holidays in Tangerang alone. Maybe I can also invite my friend who is in Jakarta to meet and gather together. The news I got, there are some close friends of mine who now work in Jakarta. Great opportunity to visit them.
Unfortunately, my father's condition made me unable to do it this week. No problem, there should still be another chance. Because visiting a sick person is a great reward, at least that's what I know from the teachings that I profess. In addition to checking the condition of the father, can also reward. Once pat two flies.
While searching to determine the plan to go home tomorrow, I began to choose what items to take when I came home later. Since there are clothes at home, I shouldn't have to bring any more from here.
God, I hope tomorrow's journey will go well.
*Home trip*
Before returning home from work I had already made a note of what route I should take to return home from Tangerang. Of course, everything passes by land, to get home there is no need to take a plane or ship.
Between the bus and the train I choose the bus first. Because the path is simpler and enough to take the angkot once and the bus once. Unlike the train that we have to memorize the route first.
Moreover, judging from the travel time it seems faster the bus to get to the house than the train. Without thinking long I immediately stopped the angkot and went to the nearest terminal.
My office finished work at 17:00. The journey to the terminal takes about 30 minutes. That's why I got to the terminal at 17:30. But looking at the Maghrib prayer time soon, I decided to stop for a while to worship first.
Luckily near the terminal there is a mall in which there is a mosque, I also eat at restaurants that are in the mall. After eating and worshiping, I continued my journey to the terminal.
“So this is the place. Right too, I see a lot of buses here.”
Scroll to and fro, there are many buses parked here. I'm looking for the route home I need. “It looks like this busanya” mutteredku while looking at this bus department.
“Pak, correct this route to Merak?”
“ak a, just ride.” said kent while pointing into the bus
I'm grateful that the route I've been looking for is correct. Because this information I only got from the internet. For the certainty of this route itself I still do not know.
I slowly got on the bus and found an empty seat. There are two seats on the bus, smoking and nonsmoking. Fortunately in the no smoking section there was still an empty place, I immediately occupied the seat. I chose this place, of course, because I don't smoke.
“Excuse me ma'am, can I sit here? there's no one, right?”
“Monggo mas, please.”
“Thank you”
While waiting for the bus to start walking, I listened to music while looking out the window. I also looked at the people on the bus.
There are all kinds of people getting on this bus. There are fathers and mothers, children, and the elderly. I saw at a glance there were also those who took the bus along with family but not a few who rode alone like myself.
Finished observing the people around, I returned busy myself by listening to music while reading some news articles on the way.
“Next stop xxx, who get off at xxx immediately get ready because the bus will be soon until”
Hearing that my destination was in sight, I got ready by standing up and holding on first. Because if you do not grip and fall, you can be ashamed of the weight later on the bus. I must have checked all the luggage and nothing was left behind.
After the bus stopped perfectly, I got off quickly. Because in time, pity the other passengers who have not come down. Arriving at the terminal I looked for angkot that passed my path.
“Come who want to ride angkot immediately go up, want to leave!”
The cargo I boarded was quite crowded, because the angkot at the terminal only departed when the number of passengers was full. What's okay, sorry to the other passengers because I took a lot of seating space because of my body.
Fortunately next to me is a girl so no foul fragrance goes into the nose. Along the way, I only saw the scenery because the sound of angkot made me no mood to listen to music.
“Left sir, left pak” I told the angkot driver when I saw where I had to go down.
The journey to my destination was only about 15 minutes. After getting off the angkot, I continued on foot until I got home. When I got home, I opened the door and said my greetings.
“Assalamualaikum” I said into the house while putting the bag I carry.
“Waalaikumsalam” people home has been ready to welcome me cheerfully. Although visible from the look on their faces, there is sadness for the incident that befell the father.
How are you doing now, Father?
