Ch. 17 Accreditation

Accreditation. Have you ever heard this phrase? Those of you who are in the world of education should be no stranger to this sentence. Because the quality of your school is determined by this magic phrase.

No matter what the level, both from SD and to college. All must have accreditation to demonstrate the quality of their school.

Maybe the term used was originally a favorite and non-favorite school. But the system was renamed and plus a fairly complicated and systematic assessment. Although in essence unchanged, still every school is grouped into good and bad schools.

How important is this accreditation? Quite important, because the higher the level of accreditation we have. More and more parents believe in incorporating their learners into our schools.

This proves how important this accreditation process is. With high accreditation. Parents believe more in the quality of the school. Accreditation reflects the quality of a school's education. Parents want their children to go to school in the best places. Accreditation can be a benchmark for that.

Not only parents of students or students, companies also sometimes see prospective job applicants based on their home school accreditation. That's why large campuses such as UI and UGM have more opportunities in the process of applying for jobs. Because they already have high accreditation.

But not all schools with good accreditation will immediately get admission to the workplace of their choice. There are other things that companies consider before hiring people. Free you guys from a famous school but his behavior is not polite. The company must have thought twice before accepting such employees.

That's why schools with high accreditation are usually the first choice. The higher the accreditation of an educational body, the more qualified also the graduates they will spend. Accreditation has several levels, the lowest C accreditation to the highest A accreditation.

Assessment is taken from several factors. Starting from the completeness of documents, existing school facilities, the quality of teaching staff, and others. Usually the assessment is taken once every few years. Maybe once every 4 or 5 years.

It just so happened that the first year I was teaching. I got the opportunity to help the school during the accreditation process.

"Father of the teachers. This year we will soon face an assessment for accreditation. I hope the appointed committee prepares all the required files. Please cooperate, mother."

The principal opens the assessment activities for accreditation. To speed up the work, all teachers get a task ration and one person as a coordinator. I myself went to the archive section that takes care of SKS, KD, RPL, and other documents

Quite busy (very busy even) because even though we have to take care of documents, but teaching and learning activities still take place. As a result, to complete the task for accreditation, almost every day I stay up late to work on it.

Because I am a new teacher, so I need a longer time to take care of the documents. Luckily the other coworkers were always ready to help me.

Even so, just like the students. There are teachers who are difficult to cooperate with. As a result, there are some jobs that are hampered. Inevitably we helped each other. Which part is less people then which excess people help the part.

Usually only the guys who take care of accreditation until the night. If the female teacher is not all can do the same thing because they do not get permission from the husband. But there are also great female teachers who are willing to work until night.

For school files, we prepare for documentation 3 years back. That time frame we have to complete within 1 to 2 months before the accreditation team comes.

We ended up looking for the documents in warehouses, libraries, and other places where we needed the files. There are also some files that we have never created before, we make as if old data. The archive was just created.

"No sir, it's empty. Ready bro, just slide right there." I immediately went to Mr. Dani's place after saying goodbye to the accreditation team I was in.

Multimedia Lab where Mr. Dani is located on the 2nd floor. Far enough away from where I was on the 1st floor but it didn't tire me too much.

Without hesitation I opened the door and immediately greeted Mr. Dani and the others "assalamualaikum. How's it? something can be slaughtered.eh wrong, helped the point."

"Here's Mr. Ray, sit here and help make this one."

Mr. Dani pointed to one of the parts that his staff was doing. Without any length I directly helped them.

This time they were pasting organizational charts for the laboratory and teacher room. For each lab has a different stewardship structure so we can't just copy the chart without making edits.

There are usually the same parts but there are also different parts of the body. Because my hands are not very skilled and neat in the artwork. I'm just helping with the attachment process.

I'm definitely not alone. We share the task so that the attachment process is completed faster, usually one room will have two people to do the attachment. Each of them attach the organization Chart with makeshift tools. Either with tape or other tools.

There are also girls who help. Especially when making a Chart, usually the girl who gets the task to write it. Because the average woman's writing is better than men's writing.

When the Bagan attachment process is completed. We went back to the lab to make other furniture. This time we used a frame to paste photos of the president, vice president, and Garuda Pancasila.

This process is quite long because the number of photos we have to print is quite a lot. Then the process of framing a photo requires many people to shorten the time. Moreover, the number of frames is sometimes less so it can only frame it gradually.

Just like Bagan, this frame will be attached to us later. But not only in the laboratory, this frame will also be attached to each class. This makes the time we need not be short.

This task cannot be completed in one night. So we did it gradually every night. We put some tonight, then the next night stick it to another class.

The thing I was afraid of was that this photo did not last long when the student had already started entering the classroom. Because there are still incidents of male students playing ball in the classroom.The class glass broke because this game is no stranger to this school.

I hope the same thing won't happen with this picture frame. At least it must be durable until the assessment officer arrives.

There are still many other things that I have to do until the accreditation process arrives. Especially the other tasks I don't know about. I don't know what else the next task will be and what problems will occur during this process.

God, I hope this activity goes well. Then we will get the assessment we want. Because man can only try, so it should not be forgotten to ask for help from the Almighty for smoothness. Believe that no matter how hard the obstacles you face, it is actually easy for Him to help us get through it.
