Ch. 11 Scouts

I have been teaching as a teacher for a few months. A lot has happened in this time frame.

In addition to routine teaching activities that are long boring. There are also interesting events such as extracurricular and peach. But this time I won't talk about it.

I'll discuss the Scout show.

My full name I forgot. But this event is just like any other Scout event. Students in turns (usually divided per class), must stay overnight at school.

The implementation of this turn because the number of classrooms is not enough to carry out the event simultaneously. 

Usually if the Scout event will start, the class that gets the afternoon entry schedule will go home sooner. Because their class will be used for the Scout event at night.

As a new teacher, I was also inseparable to attend this event. From the afternoon until tomorrow morning. I taught as usual and went home with the usual hours. In the afternoon, I went back to school to attend a boy scout.

After I prepared everything, I went to school. "I'm leaving, ma'am, assalamualaikum."

"Vaalaikumsalam Wr. W." B." My mother answered me while receiving my greetings.

Arriving at school I parked the motorbike at the designated place, because there is a parking area that will be used for congregational prayer later.

I went to the front desk of the receptionist to tease the student who was on guard. They stand by in front of the gate to absent any students who have not yet or who have come.

"Absen dong sister." I joked to the students.

"Eh sir Ray. Dad's late so I legal push up 100x." He answered with a small laugh.

After talking for a while I went to where the teachers were gathered. Because I did not get the task of giving material so my presence is only as a hurrah team.

"Assalamualaikum father mother. How, is the show safe?"

"Secure sir Ray. You just sit sweet."

I went to the computer lab after I finished greeting the teachers and the committee. The lab is a place for male teachers to sleep at night. Mr. Dani is already on standby at the venue because he is the teacher in charge of the lab.

"Damn. Mr. Dani, it's already here sir. Not coming home yet?"

"Not sir. Liability, tomorrow morning just go home."

Mr. Dani's house is quite far from school. About 1 hour drive he took to get to school every day. I wonder why he still wants to go to school at such a long distance.

Mr. Dani has been working at this school for a long time. I think he also has the loyalty to keep working in this place. He also has a position as the head of Multimedia prodi so I think his salary is slightly greater than other teachers. Automatically he also more work than ordinary teachers.

My job for this scout period is to attend congregational prayers and dinner only. In addition to the event, I only played in the lab along with Mr. Dani and other teachers. This place is cold because there is AC so many male teachers who sleep here.

Usually at this moment we use the lab to watch movies together. Because the multimedia lab has a projector that we can use to watch movies. I watched the movie and filled the mood.

Unfortunately there are only teachers who bucket tells the ending of the film so that it becomes less exciting film.

For the female teacher, they all slept in the teacher room. But there are also some teachers who go home and go back to school the next day.

Surely if this event will have trouble sleeping. I just went to bed at 12 o'clock. The scout show was over. We remain alert because usually if there is a night event like this.

One thing that makes me surprised is this school sometimes there are students who are possessed. Usually a month is once twice the occurrence. Moreover, there is a night stay like this. That's why the teachers usually have wanted to students who have had a history of possessed not to stay overnight.

Still there are students who still want to stay overnight. Sometimes they get possessed too. We usually call smart people to deal with them. We have anticipated this so that there are some smart people who are on standby.

There are several factors for pupils to be possessed. What often happens is because they often bark or forget breakfast. It is also due to the stress and also the soy sauce. Most often because the students forget breakfast.

Many of the reasons they don't eat breakfast, most are because they are afraid of being late for school. I was quite surprised because they should have had a lot of time if they woke up early. But today's children usually sleep late until late at night.

I'm not surprised because according to the results of the study, teenagers are more active and sleep more often at night. But the more important factor is habits. If the student is used to sleep fast and wake up early. I think they'll have time for breakfast.

Managing time like that is difficult. I as an adult still sometimes miss that. Usually because of work that takes too much time or is too fun to play until you forget time. There are many classes that provide material about management at this time, you can search a lot through the internet. The price also varies.

When all the scout shows were over and the body was getting tired, I started sleeping together with the other teachers in the lab.

Azan dawn was already reverberating. Although I slept quite late at night, I resisted the drowsiness and woke up the other teachers to perform the morning prayers. Thank goodness there are people who can pray and we can perform congregational prayers. Because even though only two, the reward is not inferior to those who congregate in the mosque.

“Izin first yes sir, I want to go home for a while.want to take a shower.” After the morning prayer I took a moment to go home because I wanted to shower first. The body is smelly because it sleeps outside.

“Oh yes sir, be careful yes.”After the greeting, I went straight home.

When I reached the gate I saw another teacher, Mr. Urfan who is the scout event committee this time.

“Assalamualaikum sir, permission to go home first yes, want to shower.”

“Waalaikumsalam, be careful on the road sir. Breakfast is here, right?”

“Iya sir. to the house just shower doang keep coming here again”

This morning's event was definitely breakfast. Teachers and students will have breakfast together. If it's not wrong, we'll cook together. But do not expect fancy food, of course, the food adjusts to the existing budget.

I went home on my favorite motorcycle. The journey was very quiet and cold because it was still early morning. But still there are still trucks that eagerly go there and here. The curfew and the morning are indeed the kings of big cars to pass through the city. Because the highway is quieter so they can more freely pass.

“Assalamualaikum bu. wake up, let's pray dawn” When morning sometimes I wake up parents for dawn prayers. Sometimes I am also built, just remind each other. Who wakes up first, he wakes up.

“waalaikumsalam, eh mas Ray has returned. How's the scout show?” Ask my mom with a sleepy face.

“Lasar bu alhamdulilah, fortunately no one is possessed in this event” I replied while taking clothes and towels for a bath. Because I was afraid of the bath, I moved quickly to use the bathroom first.

The bathroom of the house is used because it will be used by my brothers and father to take a shower before they do the activity.

“Bu, saying yes back there is still a scout” event I say goodbye to mom before leaving for school.

“be careful on the road ya nak“ replied my mother while receiving my greetings.

This time the show was a meal together. I saw the potluck side dishes (rice, crackers, tempeh, and eggs) and we ate together in one place. Because I'm a man, I don't get breakfast cooking. Just bring food back and forth. 

Busy female teachers shouted here and there to give the students directions to cook. After breakfast, the event continued with the material and the last event of nature tourism.

This nature tour is a morning walk event where students will walk according to the specified directions. Each post will have tasks or quizzes that they have to work on before continuing the journey to the next post.

I was offered to join but because I didn't like outdoor events. I choose to watch. On my motorcycle, I went around to make sure all the students were on the road. Worried that there are students who are lost or exhausted on the road to fainting. 

When a student fainted, I went back to school. This is natural because not all students have a healthy physical condition. Usually if there are students whose faces are pale I offer to anter to school. It looks like an impromptu ojek.

“Dispense father use motor” Canda one of the students of natural tourism participants.

“Iya dong, I am just aja” supervisor I replied while leaving the students to the next post with my motor.

In addition, the teachers also gave drinks to existing posts. For surely the disciples sought drinking water out of thirst. Unfortunately, some people drink ice when the body is overheated and run out of exercise. It's not good for their bodies, but still they don't comply even though I told you.

This activity is a bit heavy for the students because they have to use a veil during nature tourism. Their heads are hotter because of that. Fortunately, not many open their veils, but there are those who take them off because of the heat. As a guy I was confused as to how to reprimand them.

After the natural tourism activities are in order, go to the last event of the closing ceremony. Unfortunately, the students and teachers are exhausted after nature tourism so that the ceremony is only done simply.

Unlike when the opening ceremony is still spirit, the closing ceremony of this scout activity is a lot of lethargic students. Fortunately the event went well and all the participants and organizers returned to their homes.

“Iya sir Ray, be careful yes on the road. Thanks for coming”  

After meeting with the teachers and the committee. I walked to the parking lot and went home. At home I immediately change clothes and rest after tired of staying up late and scout shows. Fortunately it's a holiday so it can be as much of a break for today.
