Just like all freshmen. Arip also found a considerable dilemma. Will he continue with S2? or looking for a job first? If from parents, most leave the decision to the child. Just like in my day, my mother did not like it if we were looking for work in Yogyakarta. Because UMR there is a small number. He was worried that he would not be able to save later if only with such a salary. In the end like everyone else, Arip also ended up looking for work in the capital.

Thankfully, he managed to get a job in accordance with the field he was in, IT. After going through various series of tests, he finally left for Jakarta to sign the contract. Me and the family at home pray that Arip will get a lucrative contract for him.

While Arip was in Jakarta, he also sent some photos while he was in a hotel room. Pretty fancy for the count of employees who just entered, already get signature facilities at the hotel and also get some welcome events. Unlike me who just signed by email.

A few days after in Jakarta, Arip returned home. He told me what he did while he was in Jakarta. The next stage he still had to attend online training for 3 months and offline for 3 months. It was only after that, he started working in the office while going through probation. The employment contract he signed was also told at this moment.

As with most employment contracts, it should not cancel the employment contract. If it is cancelled, he will have to pay the fine. Then there were all sorts of terms written there. But more or less, for 5 years, he must serve in that place as an employee. My friend who also works in a state-owned company also more or less gets the same contract.

“How according to this contract mas?” Ask Arip to me.

“Yes normal contract, nothing strange either. The most important thing will be paid according to the contract. If different, you can ask later to the finance or HRD section. Since the salary must be according to the contract, it must not be more or less.”

After listening to the opinions of all the family members, Arip finally steadied for work in his current place. The main balance because finding work is now difficult. Therefore, this was a good opportunity for him to seek experience. The shortcomings of Arip's workplace in my opinion are because this company is engaged in banking. His condition is still in question to this day. There is no absolute law in religion regarding working in a conventional bank company as far as my understanding goes.

During the online training period, full Arip was at home. Just like I was WFH. That's why we still meet often even though each has got a job. It is a rare moment and only occurs as a result of a pandemic.

His behavior will be different from Lamda who also experienced the same thing. Play until night because the school is online and difficult to wake up in the morning. When it was time, I woke up Arip who was still sleeping. Not only with words, I also shook her body with both hands.

“Arip, let's get up, let's have a meeting.”

Arip opened his eyes then saw the clock on his phone “Ok, thanks mas.” He went to bed and washed his face and began to dress. Because later the meeting had to be on camera, he changed the suit of the boss who was originally a home t-shirt, turned into a white shirt with a black tie as when students want to be.

After tidying up her hair and checking her face in the mirror, she prepared to go online in front of her laptop camera. Of course, he also reminded other family members not to be noisy because he had to meet. I just smiled and followed her request. Because when meeting online, the voice from outside can be very disturbing and disrespectful heard by other members.

Incidentally when Arip was online, his position was close to my desk. So inevitably, I saw the whole event that Arip did. It was impossible for the speakers to be in a mute state. Because he must express his opinion and also give questions when given the opportunity.

The most unique thing for me is that every time I start a meeting, Arip's office has a rule to say yel yel yel that gives spirit. At first I thought it was weird and it made me laugh. But come to think of it, it seems like such a thing is important to cultivate passion when facing work.

It is usually the same as working hours. From morning to evening. But not full without stopping. Sometimes every few hours he gets a break for prayer and lunch. It seems unlikely that there are online meetings that are nonstop for hours.there must be a few minutes for members to rest.

Not only the body, eyes must also be maintained especially when WFH that makes employees spend more time in front of the laptop. It seems that in the future, optical stores will get a lot of new customers because a lot of stores are slowly turning online and making the time of all employees in front of the laptop more.

Just as some people say, every pandemic or disaster has an economic impact. Usually will appear some new rich people due to it. Stay how every line of business can survive and survive. Either by transforming or doing something else.

My company is also the same, now it has started WFH when the pandemic. Although not everything can be online because there are some staff who have to go to the site to overcome when there is a network problem in the office. But besides that, they are all fully online.

I don't know when this lifestyle will take place. Could it be just a few months, or it could be up to a few years? all time is only time to answer. As a good citizen, I can only follow government rules such as keeping 3m (washing hands, keeping distance, wearing a mask) and obeying the rules that the government made during this pandemic.
