The Colorful Work World
Ch. 116 Blood Donation 2

“His blood tension xxx. Good, can be for donor” said the nurse while looking at the numbers from the tension meter.

“Alhamdulilah”

Hearing the good news, I was immediately relieved. Because I've never had a high-tension test. There have also been cases of too low tension. But still, we feel pleasure when we do the test and it is said that our status is normal and healthy.

The nurse recorded the test results and then began removing the device from my arm. Nice check by beautiful nurse while in hospital, hehehe. After all the tools were unplugged, I was asked to be called by his name. It seems like when my name is called back, I will go to another room. But must queue with other donors, because the number of PMI officers is limited, can not directly serve donors in large numbers.

While waiting, I chatted for a moment with my parents. A few minutes later, I heard my name being called and I entered the room that the nurse had appointed.

“Please enter into the pack, later just follow the instructions of the officer only.”

“Thank you mbak”

Upon entering the room, I noticed two sofa-like chairs as we were going to shampoo in the salon. But of course without the tub behind him, when I saw myself coming in, the officer there asked me to sit on one of the chairs.

“Pak Ray huh? please sit here first sir. Follow the instructions of the officer and relax, sir. No need to strain.”

“Good mas”

I took off the shoes I was wearing and started to sit down. Quite soft also turned out to be a chair with this black color. While waiting for the attendant to work, I observed the person sitting beside me. Looks like he's also a donor, I saw how the officer gave instructions and then injected a syringe into one part of his arm,

The person gets out of the chair after the donor process is complete. He looked at me and said.

“Loh, son of Ray anyway? I guess who. Blood donation also yes?”

“Iya sir, I called you to come here.”

We talked for a while and then he left because his business was done. I don't know that guy at all. His face looks familiar, but I don't know his name at all. Most likely, he was from my mother's workplace so I kind of knew him. I know a lot of mother's acquaintances.

Finished taking care of the person, the officer finally turned his attention to me. He asked questions and also had a little light talk to relax me. Then he began giving instructions for blood collection.

“Ok sir, just relax. Clench your hard hands, sir..Keep it even harder.”

I followed the orders of the officers. Before the injection, I had said many prayers so that everything went smoothly. But apparently, even though the process is smooth, the pain from the syringe is inevitable.

“Ugh!!” I growled while enduring the pain.

After the needle is kept away from the skin, the injection marks still feel sore. Fortunately the officer directly gave the cotton and also treated the scars that appeared with the plaster. But still, the hand feels weak after the injection.

“Thank you for the donor, Mr. Ray. Please accept this small package. Then my father can go home. Blood donation process is complete.”

“Alright, thank you sir.” I said while receiving the parcel given.

On the way back to where my mother was. I peeked at what the contents of the parcel I received. It turns out, the contents of this parcel are some drinks and also supplements that can increase the amount of blood in our bodies. Not long after, I finally met my father and mother.

“How was Rey the donor? everything smoothly?”

“Current bu, alhamdulilah”

“Alright then. Mom and Dad came first. Ray be careful on the road carrying his motorbike” Said the father while moving from his seat.

Having just taken medication, you need a little help when you want to stand up. Of course as a dutiful child, I was immediately alert to help him. After seeing both parents get into the car safely. I moved my foot back to my bike in the parking lot.

Everything went safe until I tried to run the bike with both hands.

“Yeah, my hands ache. Can't you get to the house? Bismilah, good luck”

Because I came here alone. Inevitably I have to hold the handlebar of the motor. It is impossible to move on his own. Slowly I started driving the gas and started moving slowly towards the house. Along the way, I held back the pain from my arm. Looks like this effect was injected.

With great effort, I finally made it home and took a break afterwards. Unexpectedly, it turns out that blood donation requires a struggle like this. Not happy if you are driving and have to donate blood. It is only natural that this process cannot be done too often. There is a time lag every blood donation session, if not wrong after doing the donor, we must give a pause 3-4 months after the donor. Maximum in a year we can only donate blood 5 times. Donors are not recommended more than that frequency.

Because there is currently a pandemic, there are additional conditions when donating blood. After getting the vaccine, we should at least wait for 2 weeks before being able to do the donor. It is a rule from the government, so we must obey it as long as the rule makes sense and is good to do.

Arriving home, I immediately rested completely for the next few days until my arm was completely healed. Fortunately, I have only been looking for work at home through the internet. There is no physical job search applying for a job from store to store on foot. I've never felt anything like it all along.

After this blood donation, there have been many applications that I submitted online. What are the strengths as a job seeker. Long time the company has replied. There was also a quick reply then I tried to take her exam session. Of all the applications I sent, none had penetrated me and I had yet to get a job.

I was depressed but after I learned again. My efforts are not yet how, there are people who get more rejections when applying for jobs. Hearing that, my spirit rose again and I tried every day to send applications while improving my skills at work. Especially the IT field which is the main weapon I have. What kind of job will I get?
