Ch. 167 Demo Class

Finish meeting with team lead. We were given a little instruction and then released freely. The next thing we had to do was take as many demo classes as possible. Of the demo students, must pray a lot so that many students are converted to become paid students.

There are so many things that make students want to pay to be paid students. Ridho parents, children who like coding, or teachers who are smart to teach so that students feel at home with him. Do not forget the hockey factor who gets the student paid. Anyway there is no exact science we get students easily

In addition to teachers, there is actually also a position called academic counselor (AC) or Indonesian academic supervisor. This advisor who later has the task to inform parents of students who demo about the paid system from Darka. Starting from the cost to the learning process as well as other things related to the facilities that Darka will provide after he pays.

Of course the name is human, there are those who work well, there are also those who work less well. Some ACs are dexterous so they can make students into conversions. But there is also a brash AC whose conversion results are not for teachers who demo, but given to other teachers. I found out about this after I woke up in a demo class. Because I've experienced it a few times. 

Before starting demo classes, I had to book a schedule first. Usually classes start from 10.30 WIB to 01.00 WIB. It remains how the teacher enters the schedule of when he can start teaching. At first I thought this process would have no difficulty. But reality says something else.

“Loh, how can not click this schedule? ” Say me while looking towards the screen. I clicked the mouse many times, but no power and the results are nil. 

There are many schedules that change color. The box that we clicked to book the demo slot is green if available. But all the boxes turned out to be black. That means, the schedule for the slot is full. How shocked I was even before getting a paid student, the demo class was already this scrambled.

“No Ray, you have to keep fighting. Try finding info in group” I'm trying to build passion and start looking for solutions to this problem.

“It turns out not only myself toh” I breathed a sigh of relief getting this information. Because if the problem arises from a system error. It's hard to handle. This possibility we can get rid of because many teachers experience the same. 

I read a chat from another co-worker and they came up with various solutions to solve this problem. But I only tried one of the suggestions given by them.

Reading this, I tried it directly. The next day, sure enough, all booking schedules are available without a black schedule box. I cheerfully booked all the Demo classes I was going to take. Luckily there are good office group friends who provide very useful info like this. 

Ideally, log in 10 minutes before the schedule and leave the class after 45 minutes have passed. Because if the class is too and after it there is another class. Could be late coming. Penalties from demo classes cannot be taken lightly. If not wrong, the penalty is too late to pay must be with 3 demo classes. How big a penalty it is. It's hard to recover any more money. 

Especially if you are often late because of bad luck. It's very risky to get this penalty, I myself have never received the penalty so far. Although several times almost can because sometimes there are old students who do not want to go out of online classes. 

After class, I had to perform in top form. The clothes must be neat and have previously mastered the material to be given in the demo class. The class can go well and right. 

But often, problems arise from the student's side. Starting from there are students who understand it so long that it takes a lot of time, there is a bad internet so that the sound is dashed, and many other problems. 

Troubled classes like this that often make my teaching spirit disappear. Not to mention other class problems such as students who are not present from the beginning to the end of the class or who often come out in the middle class moment. 

It's like there's 1001 problems doing online classes like this. But I have to keep my spirits up, because I've been paid to do this. The risks of a profession like this should be handled well. 

Lucky for the many hours. I'm getting used to it and am just having fun with whatever state the demo class is going on. Since the end result is all the same, I get my wages from there. 

When booking demo classes. Teachers get rations for class cancell as much as 10 times a month. This is very unbalanced with a minimum total of 180 teaching hours each month. It indirectly means then we should not cancel the class. 

But the name is alive, sometimes there are plans to come uninvited. Especially from the family who are willing to take part in sradak events without any prior announcement and preparation. 

It was this sudden situation that made it difficult for me to do classes. Fortunately if when booking has not been able to get students, I can still delete the class without reducing the class cancellation ration. 

But if there are already students, inevitably have to use the rations that have been determined. Plus I can only cancel class in less than two hours. If it exceeds that, I can get a penalty again. It's really hard to cancel a class when there's an impromptu event

It's true said the staff who interviewed me yesterday. In Darka it is full of penalties. But I can't give up, I have to be grateful to get a job. My current situation is still luckier than my friends out there who still have to find work. 

We must practice gratitude in living this life. If we look up and always follow passions, until when will that right continue? 

Demo class after demo class I went through with various problems. In the end, I got my first student. I'm so happy when this happens. I got jumpy not obviously so happy
