Ch. The First 8 Weeks of Teaching 3

The MOS event is over. Like any other school event. The opening begins with the ceremony and is again closed with a ceremony. That's why this time I attended the closing ceremony. After 3 days of running the MOS. Finally, first-graders will start teaching and learning activities normally starting tomorrow.

We are the front, middle, and back.

Because it is still a foundation, so that the existing land is made for various levels of schools, ranging from Junior High to Middle School. Similar to boarding school concept. Sometimes if our field is not enough, we use another school field. There was never a problem as long as each headmaster had already given permission to use the field. The pitch we used for the closing ceremony was the back court.

I walked over and talked to the teacher who came with me. This teacher is Mr. Urfan. This Urfan is the teacher of Islam. He teaches a variety of classes and classes. Mr. Urfan has a rather chubby body with neat thin hair and mature brown skin. He often jokes with teachers around, especially with miss April. Mr. Urfan is active in every ceremony. This time the closing event of MOS Pak Urfan who got the mandate as the managing chairman. After we got to the field, we waited for some students and teachers who were on their way. Although not all teachers must be present because of their respective activities, at least there must be several teachers as representatives. The principal was also present at the event.

“The closing ceremony of the Student Orientation Period begins.” Ceremonial clerk consisting of members of the sausage starts the ceremony and successfully closes it well.

There must be some series of events that are similar to the flag ceremony such as the mandate of the ceremonial builder. Like the mandate of other ceremonial builders that the headmaster brought. The contents are certainly thanksgiving and also advice for new students in the future facing SMK school. Because they are no longer Junior High. If reckless behavior crosses the line, it can be taken to the police station.

Those words that somehow always remembered when my MOS High School first. Looks like the coach of the ceremony can be a bad boy so as to provide a threat at the beginning of the opening mos. But the principal I worked for said something else.

“You are no longer a child of SMP, no need to be escorted to the front of the gate. Already on your own can you ride public transportation?” That was what the principal said in his speech while giving the mandate of the ceremonial builder.

More or less the advice is correct. Because usually SMK children have obtained permission to use the motor to school. Although they often do not have a SIM. They should have the letter before they can use the motor. But as long as it doesn't get razed, it doesn't matter.

The problem is that when driving they still can not control the vehicle properly. Frequent speeding and reckless walking. They still have to get basic education how to drive and traffic signs before taking to the road. But unfortunately, not many students know how important it is.

There are also those who use angkot or nebeng theme. I think this is safer because public transportation is easily accessible to this school. So they should all be able to use public transportation to go to school. Except those with special needs. After the closing ceremony was over, the children walked home.

The teachers themselves use this opportunity for meetings because it is less interference from students. Certainly the thing that will be discussed is the schedule of Teaching and Learning Activities and also about the package book. According to the information I have captured, it seems like the package book for this semester has not all the maples can be. Therefore I can only create my own materials according to the existing Basic Competencies.

The meeting also discussed SKL and other teaching documents. Since I was a substitute teacher at first I guess there was no need to make such documents. I also need to make it. Inevitably I had to follow the principal's mandate and start making reports slowly.

But the issue of pay can only be grateful. Because after I checked, the other school fees were smaller than the school I was at. Even my pay is greater than that of an honorary teacher. This point alone has made me have to rethink again to continue to be grateful. Just like when I made the report, I still don't know about this at the moment.

The meeting's settled. All the teachers were ready to go home. I also went home myself. Today is quite tiring even though it is only free activities and following the ceremony. Because standing for 15 minutes for the ceremony is quite tiring. Especially if it is longer than that if the mandate of the coach is long.

“Waalaikumsalam” My mother said hello.

A few minutes after the trip, I got home. My mother greeted me cheerfully. This simple greeting can help me to get rid of fatigue. Imagine if no one returned home to return greetings and the house was a mess. The body feels more tired.

“Where's Ray? Already started working?” Ask my mother and sit down to talk together.

“But ma'am, it was just a MOS closing ceremony. Maybe tomorrow will only be divided teaching hours” answered me while massaging the head and shoulders.

“Oh so, yes you have put your stuff and shower there. I've prepared a nice dinner for you”

“Wah, that's right. Steady nih” I'm happy to go straight to the room to put the stuff and clean the dirt from the dust of the outside world.

If you guys just got home. You should wash your hands and feet immediately. Because we do not know there are germs and bacteria that we touch when outside activities. Remember, prevention is better than cure.

After finishing the shower. I ate dinner with my family and slept before late at night because I was tired of all day activities. Hopefully tomorrow will be more interesting.
