Ch. 91 Watching Movies During Pandemic

The new year has arrived. Even so, the activities I did during the new year were no different from ordinary days. Because we can't get a lot out of the house because of the pandemic. Worrying will create a new cluster and will cause problems for many people.

Families obey government rules and only go out when needed. Like foraging and for work earning a living. When you can't get out of the house for work, where does money come from? Maybe different cases if for a job that can WFH. But not all jobs can apply this to their business lines.

I'm still wfh as usual. At this moment of wfh I was very happy. Because my dream has finally come true. Work from home. Since college, I've been wanting to work like that. Finally got it done this year.

Things that make working from home more comfortable because if parents need something. I can help them right away. No need to be tired of going to the hometown of Tangerang first. But still, if they ask for help too often, tired of this body. But so far, all are still at the reasonable limit stage.

The process of taking care of the contract is also easier because it does not need to go back and forth again from Tangerang. But WFH also creates a new problem. I can't go to Jakarta easily anymore.

I love watching anime movies like myself. Surely know that the cinema that shows the film must be only a certain cinema. Not all cinemas ask. Either this will change or not. But so far, only certain biosokp-cinemas that show anime films.

Coincidentally in my hometown there is no cinema that shows it. I usually watch anime movies in Tangerang or Jakarta. For now, it's hard to watch anime movies.

Fortunately, a movie theater near the house has also shown anime films. But somehow, now they start not showing anime films anymore. Hopefully the home cinema will return soon. Although, there is actually also a movie theater that “agak” close to my house airs anime. I'll discuss this at a later time. Because there was an interesting story when I went to that place.

The cinema was closed due to the pandemic. Everyone should not enter the cinema until further appeals. Especially areas that are red zones should not open cinemas.

Until one day I saw one of the movies I wanted to watch in theaters. Without any length, I immediately searched for information about the film. Ticket prices, places, time to watch, and others I see through online.

"Well, the movie's about to go live. Buy tickets at the movie theater is open yet?"

Looking at the poster of the film, I immediately opened the application to book tickets online. Nowadays, everything can be online. Especially in the era of pandemics that greatly encourage the growth of this segment. Although there are still those who buy directly, if you can go online.wapain bother having to buy directly. But of course every online purchase most of us will get an additional cost in the form of “admin” fee.

Beres booked a ticket, I saw that the total price there is an admin fee. I don't mind about that. Because if the cost is not there, the application maker will not get a profit. Moreover, this application has no ads in it. Without this cost, the staff behind this app can be fortunately from where? back again, it’s all about business and money.

After that I prepare time to watch when the time has come. While waiting for watching hours, I resumed my work at WFH. Because I chose to watch it today as well. It was on H day and I got the information. The next morning I bought a ticket to watch the day.

When the departure time has arrived, I make sure I have brought important items such as wallets and mobile phones into my bag. Because it's not funny when I get there, I don't bring an e-ticket that's already on the phone. Without the ticket, I would not be able to print the ticket independently at the place provided in the cinema.

'bismillah, hopefully no one is left behind' I said as the motor starter to leave.

It turns out that despite the pandemic, there are still many vehicles that pass. Maybe because this has been almost a year long pandemic occurred in Indonesia so that the activity slightly improved in the direction of normal. So that traffic has started to normal, and some people are following the process, some are not.

Even though I saw there were some shops that went out of business due to this disaster. There are also some new stores that even advanced during the pandemic. After traveling for a few minutes, I finally reached the mall where the cinema is located.

Entering the mall, I see the number of visitors is not as crowded as usual. Maybe because I'm watching during work hours. So the contents of the mole are not as crowded as Saturday and MInggu. It could also be because there are still many people who are afraid to leave the house and choose to stay home. I myself if indeed if there is no need, prefer to do home activities only.

Like most other places, the cinema must be on the top floor. Inevitably, I climbed up the escalator stairs one by one to head there. Indeed, this mall provides an elevator, but during a pandemic like this, the number of elevator users is limited. This makes the elevator queue can be more crowded than usual.

After all, walk a little to improve health. After a few minutes, I finally arrived at the cinema. Before going inside, we have to do a barcode scan. It aims to do tracing anyone who goes into the cinema. For those of you who do not have a cellphone, you can write your name and number in the book that has been prepared by the cinema officer.

Beres taking care of the attendance, I went to the ticket print. Since I bought it online, I have to print the ticket independently first. It is better than having to buy tickets directly, no need to wait. After printing the ticket, I got ready before watching by throwing water first. Not funny later when watching even peed kebelet.

“Film xxx in studio 1 has been opened. Viewers who have purchased a ticket, please enter the studio.” The sound of the cinema door announcement has appeared. It was time to get into the studio.

In the cinema there are usually several studios that show films. It is used to be able to accommodate more audience capacity. But because of the pandemic, if not mistaken its content is limited to about 50 percent. Either every area is the same or not. In my own area use the 50 percent rule.

Before entering the studio. The cinema attendants usually take our tickets and hit them and give us the little tickets back. But because of the pandemic, we ourselves do it then input the paper part given to the officer. Somewhat afraid also if the torn kebablasan.

After passing the attendant, I immediately entered the studio and sat down according to the number listed on the ticket. Do not be like local train users who sit at will, but now the ticket has got a seat number.

The movie hasn't started yet, before the movie starts. There are ads for other movies as well as information about the movies. Such as movie titles, movie ratings, and notifications if the film has passed the censorship. Usually moments like this are suitable to see what the next film will be shown in theaters. But because I have absolutely no interest in movies other than the anime theme. Most of the trailers and commercials I didn't notice.

After watching an ad in the cinema, the movie finally begins. Do not forget, you have to turn off the phone so as not to disturb other spectators. You also should not be noisy during the movie and should not kick the chair in front of you. Especially if there is a person, I have experienced it and it is very disturbing. I want to remember the people behind me. But it will make the other audience disturbed.

‘Wah, the movie is pretty exciting huh. The audience is also quite a lot.’ murmured me in my heart while coming out of the cinema.

After watching the movie, I didn't go anywhere else and went straight home. Because it is advisable not to go out of the house too long. I immediately headed for the parking lot and then drove safely home. At home, I immediately took a shower and changed clothes so that all the germs I brought from outside were sterile. This is so that people at home are not at risk for contracting covid.

The pandemic is still not over, we must not let our guard down. Indonesia can definitely win against covid..
