The Colorful Work World

The Colorful Work World
Ch. 45 PSB

Having a holiday in Bali, I returned to teaching as usual as a teacher. But not only teaching, when it will enter the end of the school year. We're getting a new assignment. When there will be a change of school year, of course we have to find new students.

"Mother mother teacher. We will soon enter the New Student Admission (PSB) period. Please be prepared immediately yes as needed such as pamphlets, banners and others. How outcome? Is everything all right?"

"It's all done, ma'am, just stay spread."

"It's good that way. Do not forget socialization to the schools father mother. More students are entering"

"Ready"

After the meeting, the teachers gave assignments in pairs, anyone who had to go to Junior High school for school promotion. To shorten the time and more schools we reach. We divide the socialization team into several groups.

We must ask permission from the school in question first. There's no way we'd suddenly come uninvited and go home without being delivered. If the school does not agree, it will also be difficult for us to socialize.

I paired up with Mrs Sulis on this occasion. Mrs Sulis has been quite old and long teaching here. He is a sports teacher for all classes. All of them he handled. No wonder he was so diligent and disciplined in this activity. He is one of the teachers who can be used as a role model.

Looking at Ms. Sulis, I remembered that the most unpleasant teaching hours were after sports hours and then the last hour of school. Especially getting two like me .

That's because most of SMK's students are guys. They do not notice their body odor. Automatically after the end of the sport, they do not clean their bodies properly.

Appears very stinging body odor. Especially for those who have a sharp nose like me. Tortured once teaching in class conditions smells like that.

I taught a class that was all male. Their smell after exercise is very unpleasant. I got dizzy kissing her. Sometimes even vomit.

Inevitably I usually wait for their sweat to dry and the pungent smell to disappear or decrease. This makes teaching time less than usual.

More or less that's what happens when we teach after hours of exercise. Other teachers agree on this. But it will be even worse when the two things above are combined.

After the sport and at the last hour. This combination would make many disciples say this.

"Sir, come home sir, it's late afternoon. Tired sir. Out sport. Come on sir home"

Every word they say repeatedly. Especially towards the end of the ***. Inevitably I had to briefly and more clearly explain the material to them. I don't know if they can understand that the material was delivered in such a hurry.

I gave them a pr. But they apparently didn't do it. I can only shake my head. Learning does not want, giving pr is not done. What do you want students. Hopefully even though they are lazy now, in the future yes they can all be extraordinary people.

Back to PSB. I got a turn to go with Mrs Sulis this time. The place we will go is not too far, maybe only about 15 minutes by motorcycle.

Surely I as a man sat in front as a driver. Mrs Sulis sat behind me. Thank God, Mrs Sulis is not too heavy. Until the journey goes well. No problems showed up.

When promoting at school, this one teacher was good enough. I just need to follow his steps during the promotion. I don't think much when doing PSB socialization.

*Some minutes later*

We finally reached our destination. Although the distance is close, but the terrain we went through was quite challenging. Passing railroad tracks as well as through arterial roads are commonly used by large cars such as building material trucks.  You have to be extra careful when going through a road like this.

Moreover, the train tracks there is no traffic sign, must check repeatedly before going to cross the train tracks. There will be a train coming through. Fortunately there are people around who usually remember that it will happen.

The Junior High I went to saw was quite small. But I only saw the front. I don't know if this SMP will be broad to the back.

This private school according to Bu Sulis also often enrolls his son to our SMK. Because of the distance, our school is close to where they are. So parents do not need to change their route when dropping off school children.

Even though SMK children should not need to be delivered again. But if the school distance is closer, parents will not be too worried about their children will stray or play to a distant place.

Because it would be easier for them to find the whereabouts of their child if that happened. But usually, SMK children have been given more freedom. They will definitely walk more often than when they are still sitting in the Junior High.

"Where's Mom? Have you called this school teacher?" I asked Mrs Sulis.

"Already Mr. Ray, just wait. It's gonna be a break soon. We will socialize at that hour " replied Ms. Sulis while sending an SMS to the teacher concerned.

"Mr Sulis and Mr. Ray, come on in. Meet the principal first."

"Okay, thank you. This is from us"

The things we gave meant nothing. Just giving eye souvenirs. They do not refuse our gifts. It seems like this is natural to do. It doesn't seem like this is the first time they've received a parcel.

We're heading for the principal's room. When I entered the teacher's room, I was quite shocked because the place was smaller than I thought. Maybe because their teachers are fewer? Or because their land is narrower?.

"Let's sit down, father mother" the headmaster invited us to sit down.

Mrs Sulis started a light conversation with the principal. “Thank you for your time mom, we are from school. Can you have time for one class.”

“Bby mom, please. But not too long. Pity if you take too much time off child”

“Good ma'am, thank you.”

In coordination with the principal, we entered the classroom after the teacher had conditioned the students.

"Children's address"

"Girishal"

"We from SMK .. will socialize the school. Anyone know our school?”

“know, the ones in ... right?”

Ms Sulis continued “Betul once, Why do you have to choose our school? That's because.."

Mrs Sulis started her promotion with vigor. It seems he has often done this and is very smart in attracting the attention of students.

While I do not talk much except when discussing TKJ and Multimedia majors. Because I've never taught students from any other major. I also want to teach in another department.

"So, TKJ stands for Computer and Network Engineering. In this department, you will learn about computers. But it will focus more on the field of networking."

I continue my explanation of multimedia

"Multimedia is also a lesson about computers, but not about networks. Multimedia will focus more on the world of editing such as editing photos, videos, and the creation of other multimedia fields."

I hope my explanation doesn't confuse them. Moreover, those who have never used a computer may not understand what I am saying.

“What computer service sir? is logged into TKJ too?” ask one of the students.

"Yes right, you can also fix computers, open design services, and other computer-based things. You can also make your own efforts from learning this science. Not dirty like if you enter the workshop and other rough work" Sulis mother added the explanation I gave.

All the students were excited and asked us many things. Fortunately, we both answered all of their questions well.

They had doubts about the accreditation status we had. We just said please look in PT tire. Because our assessment is officially clearly stated there. There was no cheating we did. At least that's what I know from yesterday's accreditation assessment.

After a few minutes of presentation, we finally returned to school. There are still some things we have to do.

After socialization, we say goodbye to this Junior High School teacher. There's no way we just disappeared.

After arriving at school, we reported what we had done to the PSB committee.

The report is over, I'm back to my regular assignments as a teacher, teaching. Even though a few hours have been spent on socialization. There's still other work I have to do.
