Exams

It is a word that students always do in a certain period of time.

Usually, the exam or retrial activities are carried out in the middle of the semester and the end of the semester. 

This exam is done in the middle of the semester. But in this exam activity, not only students are made paleng. Teachers are also no less dizzy. 

Why is it like that? Because the teacher also has to do extra work at this moment. Starting from being a committee to making questions. 

It is possible that if the teacher only teaches a few subjects, it will not be dizzy for the problem. Imagine if one teacher had to make a problem for 4 subjects. Must be complicated, right?That's how I feel. 

In addition to having to make a matter, I was also chosen to be one of the UTS committee. This makes the workload increase. 

There are a few things to look out for in making a problem. Test materials and number of questions. For UTS usually the number of questions is 20 multiple choices and 5 essays. The format of the problem must also be in accordance with the applicable format. 

That's why to speed up work I usually ask for format to other teachers. After that, just edit the contents. Do not let the subject and the exam time do not match the exam date for this semester. The exam questions are also usually taken from the package book but the position of the problem and the answers are randomized. 

In that way alone there were already some confused disciples. About the pure essays I made myself. Because just making five essays in my opinion is not difficult.

When the problem has been made, usually the matter in print and then collected to the committee along with the question grid. Then it will be sent to the printing press to be reproduced. 

Usually sometimes there are some teachers who are old school or busy so ask staff to type a problem for them. Usually they ask for help from younger non-teacher staff such as TU staff or lab guards. I made all of it myself. 

Most troublesome if there is a teacher who is late in the matter, must be chased by the committee until it is finished for him. Especially if the teacher often disappears, the more troublesome it is.

It's only natural that there are teachers who are late to collect questions. Because they have to teach as usual coupled with making questions. They usually use their time to make it. 

Sometimes there are also teachers who are overtime and make questions when they are off. Usually for one subject, it takes about 2-3 hours. Either the other teacher takes the same time or not. 

After the problem about settling down stay the time of the committee. I was appointed to the committee by the school. The first job as a committee is to make sure that the matter has been completed in time and has been photocopied before the exam takes place. 

"How sir? Are you done with Class 10? " Say me to one of the teachers who is working on the problem. 

"Not Ray, just a second. Tomorrow maybe. I'll gather them to the collection table. " The answer is while typing the matter into the laptop.

Just like students, there are also diligent teachers and some are lazy. Not all teachers are diligent and precise in collecting questions. 

After the problem is resolved, just make sure that the matter is finished in the photocopy. Our school has a subscription place to increase the number of questions. 

Surely there should be no matter that leaks into the hands of students. If students get leaks about, then their grades become 100 all.

In addition to questions, the committee must also overtime to make test cards participants. Fortunately there is technology so it is easy during the printing process. But the process of cutting it is still quite time-consuming because it is manual with human labor.

"Sir Dani, please print the exam card yes." I asked Mr. Dani to print the test card using a lab printer.

"Ray sir, long awaited. Because there are a lot of cards."

"Ok sir. I wait" I went directly to another place to continue the activities of the examination committee.

Once the card is complete, cooperation with TU is the next step. Because students must pay SPP first before getting an exam card.

Usually this procedure must be thorough because sometimes there are students who cheat. He said he paid when he actually did not. If we are careless, can be deceived by the committee later by students.

I wonder why the little ones have dared to cheat, worrying. Hopefully he will be a better person in the future. It is our duty as teachers to teach students moral and ethical lessons. So that wrong actions like this will not be repeated later.

"Sir, take the exam card." One of the students came to the committee table to get a card.

"Class and department?" Ask me while preparing to take a card.

The student immediately returned to class after finishing taking the card. Usually, students take cards during break or school. Sometimes there are also those who come before their school hours. For example, when their classes get a schedule of entry during the day. Usually the student will take a card at 11 noon. Exactly one hour before class, 12 o'clock.

That's why for examination card guards usually take turns, do not be quiet because we can not predict when students will come to take cards. Fortunately the organizers had different teaching hours so the card retrieval was never empty.

This exam card is usually until the day of the exam there are still those who have not taken. Some because they have not paid because their parents have not given money, some also come in the morning of the exam and are angry because their children have not received a card. His own son forgot to take it.
