Ch 165 Interview and Training

“Kira, what will it be like, interview later?” Say to myself.

Like most in the process of finding a job. This stage is the most crucial. Many people fail at this stage.

Interviews

At this stage, the company is eager to pry our personal deeply. The wide variety of questions and gimmicks they use to know our whole person. Especially when discussing pay. They will certainly use all means to pay us low but give us a lot of work.

Just like in the previous interview. I'm getting ready to answer any kind of questions. But because it has often gone through this stage, the tension has been somewhat reduced I feel. Not like the first time I did it.

Of course I should not be too relaxed, because it is dangerous if we are too long at a comfortable point and not upgrade skills. You have to learn new things every day. Suddenly, there came a time when I did this interview for Darka.

I entered the zoom room a few minutes before the interview time began. The tools I have such as mic and speaker also I tested first before. It's working fine or not. It can be difficult when the interview session takes place. Even if my device is damaged. After that was all sorted out, I just waited for the guy to come.

A few minutes waiting, one account comes into the zoom. We both light up the mic and also the camera respectively. So that I can see directly the face of that person.

“Good day, brother Ray huh? Welcome to Darka. This interview will not discuss much. I'll just ask brother commitment.”

He was silent for a while then said “Are you willing to work for 180 hours per month? Because the early days of course the teacher will not get a lot of wages. But this minimum hour must be met unless there is a certain obstacle. Is sister still ready?”

Darka's staff began to teach the dark side of the job. What are the losses and benefits obtained when accepting this job. With a little hesitation, I replied that I was willing. Right now, I still don't have a job. There is no harm in me accepting this job while waiting for another job or opportunity to come.

Although it is a requirement to work 180 hours a month is rather heavy. Because on average, office employees only work for 160 hours a month. So this indicates that this job is 20 hours busier than ordinary work.

“Alright then brother Ray. Again, welcome to Darka. Hopefully, big brother can contribute greatly to this company and also get the deserved profit.”

Only that question was asked before the interview session was over. He said, actually officially I've been accepted into this company. However, there was still one more step I had to take before starting to teach in this place.

Trainings.

Without feeling, the day of training has arrived. There is not much preparation I do. I just made sure the devices like the mic and the camera were working properly before I started entering the zoom room. Because this training will all be done online. No training is done face-to-face.

In addition to tools, I also dress up neatly and look professional. Because in the email training invitation there is a warning if you have to dress up neatly and look convincing as a teacher. When the time came, once our training came.

“Welcome all brothers in Darka. I'm Dina, the coach for this session. In the next few days, I along with one other trainer will train you before starting to teach directly to the field.”

The first impression of seeing this trainer is firm and disciplined. I always noticed how he scolded the participants who arrived late. He also taught me a lot in training. Fortunately, I was able to follow the training well so there was no problem. The material presented is also not too difficult, especially if we base it from the IT department.

Fortunately there was a break session so I could intersperse with a break for prayer and a little snacking. Training lasts from 8 am to 4 pm. Long enough for online learning sessions. I learned a lot from this training. The hell time, online training like death is not strong. Especially if there is military training?

Lately I know that this sister Dina holds a quite high position in Darka. I'm so glad I could be taught something like this. Training is quite intense and sometimes exciting sometimes boring. Because it is undeniable that sometimes I feel sleepy when there is material that is less fun or I understand. Lucky I could do everything well.

On the last day of training, we get a test before we can be sure to start teaching .The test is done verbally and live. We had to pretend we were teaching a class. Everyone gets a random stage. There are those who get tests for the opening section, contents, there are also those who get exams to close classes.

“Good morning, introduce my name Ray from Darka. I'm here as a coding teacher to teach you about coding. If you may know, what is the nickname adek?”

I happen to get my first turn. So I just have to practice how to open a class. Things that are not too difficult in my opinion. But I remained a little groggy during the test session. I was lucky to have a good test. Until in the end, I along with other participants have been eligible to start teaching. I'm glad I didn't play because I officially got a job back after so long unemployed.

There were some funny incidents before the training took place. I had the forgetfulness to turn off the mic and podcast sound that I often heard leaked and heard by other participants. How shameful I am. Good thing that my camera wasn't on, so no one knows who the face of the guy who forgot the mic was.

Luckily the trainees were all nice and friendly. It seems that which people are professionals, which are mediocre, and also which are somewhat lola in fact in learning. But I am very happy to be training with these great people.

Training is over, now that I have officially served as a coding teacher in darka. What's gonna happen next?
