Ch. 54 H-1 Work in Tangerang

Soon I will start working in Tangerang. Instead of choosing to go back and forth from home to Tangerang (the trip can take more than 2 hours). I decided to look for a contract in Tangerang area.

I have had the experience of spending time in college. 4 years old I was boarding in the same place and never moved from the beginning of college until graduating from college. Unlike most people who usually move boarding places every year.

That's why, the move this time did not panic me too much. As long as I can find a suitable hostel, I'm ready to stay there during my time working at that place..

I'm looking for a hostel not alone, my family has time to accompany me for this boarding search. Father, mother, Lamda, and Yana are taking part in my activities looking for a contract. Only Arip did not attend because he was still studying in Yogyakarta.

"How about this one?" Ask my father

"Less spacious, too stuffy, just look for others" I replied while looking at the condition of the room offered by the owner of the contract.

Some of the contracts we have come to and it is very difficult to find a suitable one. We may have 4 to 5 contracts.

We certainly can't all go. Contracts on narrow roads we could not get into by car. Therefore, only a contract with a road that is wide enough that we can pass.

There are some contracts that are too stuffy, some are too narrow, some are too expensive. Indeed, if the expensive facilities are more complete, but if the cost is too expensive. Fear the monthly payday will not be enough. According to my friend, if the cost of rent is more than one million per month it will certainly feel the cost if the salary is only UMR. That's why as much as possible I look for a contract that is as nice and cheap as possible.

"Excuse me, sir, you wanna turn on the contract around here. Is there a sir?"

"There sir. Coincidentally I have one, really fit there is a new one empty. The previous occupants just bought a house."

I finally met a contract that suited my needs. A large enough place with a price in accordance with the budget.

Without a second thought, I immediately agreed to contract here. Pay per month, so I can stop contracting anytime of the month. No need to pay rent for a year like I was in college.

"Father disagrees. It's not safe, Ray, it's in the middle of the road" I don't agree with my choice.

Even though the safety of mah depends only, fast or not. Two years later, his words became a reality. I still do not realize it myself at this moment.

Thanks to the father disagreed, we went back to muter to find a contract. Until the end, I still chose the contract I chose before. All criteria are met. Only the Father does not agree.

Security issues, I will try to always lock the door at all times. Hopefully this contract will be safe and comfortable. Because I still don't know exactly the level of security in this region.

*One day before work in Tangerang*

Today is the day of departure for Tangerang. Because tomorrow I'm starting work there. Unexpectedly, it turns out that today also Mbah Kakung was taken to a hospital in Bogor.

Inevitably, all of you went to Tangerang, we also went to Bogor. I put the goods first in the contract, then continued the journey there.

The things I brought were not much, just a mattress, laptop and friends, as well as some clothes and shirts to go to the office. Not to forget the good shoes for footwear also I brought there. There's no way I'm going to the office in flip-flops.

Traveling to Bogor from Tangerang was not too long, only about an hour we passed to reach the hospital where Mbah was treated. On the way, as usual I just slept because it was night and my body was tired due to the trip to Tangerang.

According to my aunt, Mbah was treated for a problem with his leg. Difficult to move and there are other complaints that I do not know. Finally Mbah was treated in Bogor, easier because it was taken care of by Aunt who also worked there.

Until there, we only had dinner then returned to tangerang after the Maghrib prayer. Of course I use the plural prayer style to perform prayer. Because it shortens the time while on the way.

While eating food, I also chatted with some brothers who also visited the altar in the hospital. Incidentally, Dadang who also works in Tangerang is also visiting Mbah. That's why I ask a lot of tips & tricks while working in Tangerang.

"How about Ray, tomorrow start work in Tangerang huh?" Ask one of my tantiums who also lives there. He was his wife, Dadang.

"Yes aunt, already got a contract, later this runs out go there immediately."

"Which area is the contract?"

"Well, I know Auntie, haven't memorized the path there. I think it was before the WTC."

We talked about a lot of things about Tangerang. Especially city transportation that I can use to get to work. Because I didn't bring a private vehicle to the contract.

Om ku also added things that must be considered while working in Tangerang. Starting from road conditions and other things about Tangerang.

I understand more and more what life is like there. Because I don't plan to take the bike to Tangerang. Because the place is narrow to put the bike and I think it's better the bike at home. The motorbike is still used when charging the rental fee.

I'm also still deg with what the working environment will be like. Whether it will be the same as when teaching, or the working environment is quite different. It's one that still makes me wasteful for now.

“Ray, let's go back to Tangerang, afraid of the night” said the father while inviting myself back to Tangerang.

“Pamit first Om, later connected again.”

“Siap Ray, later if there is anything. Call it yes.”

After saying goodbye to Om Dadang and the other brothers. We went back on our way back to Tangerang. Because it is now midnight, the road is quite quiet so we smoothly jaya up to the contract in Tangerang.

At the Contract, I got out of the car but the other family did not come down and just say goodbye from the car.

"Be careful Ray, don't forget the same door lock that diligently works"

"Working diligently, let's go up in office"

"Work spirit is good."

"Drug me, happy work"

"Ready, thank you. Mama Papah also be careful on the road. Adek-adek also. Don't be so stubborn at home."

Mama, papah, Yana, and Lamda bid farewell to me. Because I will settle in Tangerang and they will return to their hometown. I will only return home once every two weeks. In addition to having to be friendly with parents, I also still have work at home to collect rent.

Yana and Lamda are still in school so they still haven't started to wander. Unlike me and Arip who have been passing ever wander in college first.

'finally they have left.' I feel the sadness of not being able to see them every day.

Even though I had a lot of fights with my father. But not being home with them gives me a sense of relief, pleasure, and also misses. It is a very complex relationship with my father. But in essence, I still love my father who has financed my school until college. Because not all parents are able to do it.

Surely I really miss being able to kiss my mother's hand while leaving for work and confide in her when I get into trouble. I wish I could go home once a week.

I started to get into the contract and lock it up after going inside. Only then did I realize that the wind mattress had not been blown, while the electric pump caused noise when used.

Not wanting to disturb the neighbors, I decided to use a wind mattress without being blown. As a result, my sleep this time was almost no different from sleeping on the floor.

Fortunately there was an abort so I could sleep with my head quite comfortably. Only the head down felt hard. Luckily I had no problem sleeping on the floor. As long as there are pillows and sleeping mattresses that deflate as a base.

Bismilah, hopefully tomorrow the work is smooth and there are no obstacles'

After I finished praying before I went to bed, I began to close my eyes and go to dreamland. Hopefully tomorrow I can do a good job.

*The next day*

"Well, is it morning?"

I woke up very well when the dawn of the Adhan was reverberating. Because my contract is close to the mosque. Inevitably the voice of the Adhan is very clearly heard. It was perfect to wake me up to pray.

Beres-beres a little later I take the ablution water to perform the prayer. Then I rested again and got up again to get ready to leave.

'oh, achy also ya sleep directly on the floor’ said me while staring at the mattress of the wind that is still deflated.

Because there's still time, I pumped the mattress first. Then I stood up so as not to disturb the road. After that I also tidied up the position of some items so that my activities in the room were not disturbed.

Can be bothered if the road becomes uneven because of the cover of the mattress. Hopefully later tonight the bed doesn't deflate back.

After checking all the luggage, I went out of the house and left after locking the door.

Start my steps towards a new workplace and a new life in Tangerang city.
