Ch. 75 Roads to East Java 2

After boarding the train, we finally found the seat we had booked. Luckily, we all sat close together. So we can spend time talking and playing together until we reach our destination. The trip we took was quite long, about 12 hours we had to travel from Jakarta.

I would love to, depart from Jakarta around noon. then get to Jatim our destination approximately at dawn. When we reached the destination, we all immediately prayed and then continued to the place of the neighbors using the online driver application. We ordered a car to go there. Thank God everything was smooth and we managed to meet the Neighbor safely.

Had worried also because it was still dawn, afraid not to get a car that would take us to the destination. Luckily there are still people who want to accept us and we enjoy the view of east Java at night. I glimpsed, the place is similar to Jogjakarta, especially when looking at the similar sidewalk design.

The car we were riding in was a car with a capacity of 8 people. With the number of our group of 5 people plus the driver. The seats we got were still quite relieved and not crowded. The trip was quite comfortable but I fell asleep at some point due to exhaustion.

The show will be done later. That's why, me and the others used this opportunity to rest first. Our activities are still long, if we do not rest now, fearing that we will not have another chance to rest. Fortunately, there is Rendra who is willing to sacrifice to become a navigator, so he does not sleep during the trip.

“Pak, have arrived at destination”

“Thank you yes pak”

At our destination, we all got out of the car and thanked the driver. Because of this dawn there are still online drivers who are willing to take us. Our payments are made by e-money so there is no need to use cash to pay.

Even though we had already reached the destination, we had absolutely no idea where the current position of the Neighbor was. Because from the information I got, we will sleep in one of the houses first to prepare for the wedding. Rendra returned the initiative directly to contact the neighbor via message and also phone.

A few minutes searching, we finally saw Neighbor coming out of a house and waving his hand at us.

“God's Cause, my friends. Antum finally arrived. Come on in here, later you can sleep here while waiting for the show to start.”

Neighbors led us into a house. The house is quite spacious, with more than one floor, I see there are stairs leading up, but I do not know how high this house actually is. Because during the event, I was just pacing back and forth on the first floor.

When I entered the living room, I saw that many of my other neighbors had arrived and were sleeping on the floor. There were absolutely no people I knew, likely they were his co-worker or college buddy Neiran. We only greeted them at a glance then immediately took a place to sleep for a moment.

“Come on, all of you wake up. Who has not taken a shower, please take a shower first. If you have come quickly get ready, the event will soon begin.” The sound of a loud enough neighbor woke us all up.

“Ah, fresh already bathe” said me while out of the bathroom.

The process of cleaning the body can not be enjoyed to the fullest because the bathroom must alternate with others. I took a shower faster than usual. After I finished drying my body and wearing clothes for the event, I came out of the bathroom.

The toiletries I borrowed I returned and then I got ready for the show later. Starting from combing hair, using perfume, and other simple preparations. When my friends and I were all well-groomed, we went to the mosque near where we are.

This time, the event was carried out inside the mosque. When Neiran said the deal, we all captured the moment with photos and videos. Throughout the event, we felt that Neighbor had found many new and amazing friends while he was in college. I felt so far away from her at this moment. Because I was still not talking to my neighbor when I was in college and started working.

But I don't have much time to talk. After we finished, we went to their wedding reception. This time the event is quite unique, because the place where the boys and girls in the split sit. It is more Islamic but a bit complicated when looking for food.

“Picture session with the bride and groom will start” said the MC beside the stage where Neighbor and his wife welcomed guests.

Before the photo session began, we had time to greet the neighbor and he was very happy we came. Then we took a meal and then the photo session started after that. When the photo session was about to start, we asked to go first as we were about to go to take the train back to Jakarta. Fortunately the MCs allowed that and we were given an early turn to ask for a photo session.

“Company of ROHIS SMA xxx, please go on stage.”

When we were called, we immediately went up on stage and took a photo session. Neighbor had asked why ask for a photo first, he was moved when he heard we were willing to walk far to his wedding even though we were rushed to the station. Because soon the train will leave.

Why not take a walk in Jatim first? we want to do it if there is time. Unfortunately if we don't leave now, no Sunday we don't have enough time to rest. Because Monday, we'll all be back at work. Looking at us who were in such a hurry, Neighbor could only endure happy tears as we sacrificed a lot of time to get to this place.

After finishing lunch and farewell with Neighbors, we immediately packed our goods and then re-booked the vehicle with the application to go to the station. Just like before, we have to wait for the driver we ordered to arrive first. When the driver arrived, we were able to continue our journey.
