Nagato Kagutsuchi: The Dawn

Nagato Kagutsuchi: The Dawn
Ch. 170 - Regret of Emperor Genki

The clear and bright sky began to get warmer. By late afternoon, the crowd of the Tiger Kai Tournament was still very large. Some names have been confirmed to have a big chance of getting into the round of 32.

"Lord Hisui Princess really never ceases to amaze us..."

"Tomorrow I'll look forward to the game."

"Fight Princess Hisui from the Waterfall of Truth..."

"Enough interesting."

The audience began to talk about the match that would be held on the field of the Tiger Circle Arena.

The audience returned to the scene after Hisui started fighting with the girl from the Waterfall of Truth. The girl who became the representative of the young swordsman from the Waterfall of Truth was able to make Hisui desperate.

It was quite difficult for Hisui's opponents to remember the identity of the adorable-eyed girl who was the daughter of Emperor Hizen. With the participation of Hiragi and Hisui in the Tiger Tournament Kai alone has been a debate, the first age of Hisui is still 11 years but can participate in the Tiger Tournament Kai.

Satra's meddling can change everything at will, be it the rules that have been obeyed since long ago. You could say the participant of Tiger Tournament Kai who has the youngest age is Hisui.

Although the clans scattered throughout the mainland Kai Empire have no obligation to obey the figure of Emperor Kai. But a treaty written in the Valley of the Sun Gods that was the former residence of the Kagutsuchi Clan was clearly stated. A red stone inscribed with the swearing-in decree of the entire clan who swore allegiance to the real Emperor Kai.

The wars between clans in the past had nothing to do with Emperor Kai. Many clans and societies did not like the leadership of Emperor Hizen. The figure of the man who had a sharp gaze but sharpness that he did not use, Emperor Hizen preferred to listen rather than look with his own eyes.

On the family spectator bench of Emperor Hizen it was obvious that former Emperor Kai was staring at the young man wearing a white fox mask. Former Emperor Kai, Emperor Genki, was curious about Nagato's identity.

Emperor Genki stood up, then he walked slowly to approach Nagato. When he received the news that Pandu was living in the Holy Forest only the Emperor Genki, Hizen, Zen and Satra knew about it.

With a happy face and teary eyes, Emperor Genki sat beside Nagato. There were dozens of warriors guarding Emperor Genki as well.

Some of the spectators were distracted, they saw Nagato sitting with Emperor Genki.

Emi closed her eyes and let Nagato talk to Emperor Genki. Many were surprised to see this, as Iris, Hika, Tika, Oichi and Ichiba were also very surprised. While Litha and Shirayuki only glanced at Nagato a little.

"Who is he?" Nagato stared intently at the face of the middle-aged man whose hair was already bleached.

"Excuse me, son..." Emperor Genki greeted Nagato while looking at him.

Nagato remained silent and ignored the presence of Emperor Genki. Now his feelings are very uncomfortable because they are stared at by thousands of pairs of eyes that look at him.

They looked because of the curious gaze, it made Nagato dislike. Slowly Nagato let out a long sigh and focused his attention on looking at the match down there. The match of the cute-eyed girl he had hurt his feelings for.

"Sad." Nagato snorted angrily at the sight of Emperor Genki continuing to stare at him with teary eyes.

Shirayuki who heard him almost laughed yet she was still able to endure it. Then Shirayuki played her fan, the one-headed woman looked graceful. Slowly a few pairs of eyes began to steal a glance at Shirayuki.

"What are you going to do Nagato?" Shirayuki looked at Nagato who saw Emperor Genki.

It was not long before Emperor Genki held onto Nagato's shoulder and gripped him very tightly.

"Are you my son? Must be my son?" Emperor Genki spoke without caring about the people around him.

Nagato furrowed his brows, slightly upset the feeling of his heart hearing Emperor Genki's words.

"Stop. I'm not your son." Nagato brushed off the grip of Emperor Genki's hand. With his cynicism Nagato paid no attention to Emperor Genki.

Nagato's disrespectful attitude was a concern, it seemed that Nagato did not care much about the status of the person sitting beside him.

"Tell your father this. You must be Pandu, right?" Directly Nagato's eyes widened. The heartbeat stopped for a second in surprise. The words of Emperor Genki made Nagato clench his hands tightly.

"I'm sorry your father is Pandu. You must be living hard. Father is unaware of the burden you are feeling" Nagato roughly stood up and looked at Emperor Genki who was still sitting with a cold gaze.

"Dam. I hate this crowd so much! My emotions are unstable. I'm so upset right now!" Nagato stared coldly at Emperor Genki who looked at him looking like he was asking for mercy, asking for forgiveness, asking to be forgiven.

"I'm sorry I'm not the one you call." Nagato tried to remain calm. He did not want to bring Emi and Shirayuki in trouble back. Nagato was most aware of how tormented it was to see firsthand the peace that his late father protected.

"I have only one father in the world." Nagato was still staring at Emperor Genki who looked sad.

"And remember! I only have two grandparents. There's nothing else!" Nagato added.

"It seems like your life is full of regrets. It's pathetic" Nagato murmured softly. His voice was only heard by Emperor Genki.

Hearing Nagato's words that were deeply indifferent to him, Emperor Genki shed tears. Right after Emperor Genki looked frustrated and wept. Dozens of warriors pointed their guns at Nagato.

The spectator bench that was close to the Fuyumi Clan only stared at Nagato nothing else. They were all curious about the relationship between Nagato and the real Emperor Genki.

Shirayuki was about to stand up but her shoulder was held by Emi. All the warriors glanced at Nagato who was being confronted by the guards of Emperor Genki.

Nagato stared intently at the sword pointed at his chest. Closing his eyes, Nagato moved closer to the sharp sword that hit his skin. Then Nagato continued to step up, the tip of the sword piercing through his skin slightly.

"Stop!" One of the warriors escorting Emperor Genki told Nagato to stop. He felt pain looking at Nagato who was completely unafraid of his threat.

Nagato stared at the sword that was bleeding. Then he took a long breath.

"Surge!" Nagato cynically spoke like giving orders to the swordsmen who pointed their guns at him.

"Y-yes..." Dozens of warriors gave way for Nagato to leave. After Nagato moved away, they realized that Nagato was a young man who had spoken harshly to Emperor Genki.

"Wait on! You have to come with us!" One of the burly warriors who was the bodyguard of Emperor Genki approached Nagato.

"But-but..." One of the warriors who became the bodyguard of Emperor Genki felt compelled to bring Nagato. Because for the past 7 years, Emperor Genki talked about Pandu's surviving son.

"It's my fault. I just hope you don't hold a grudge against the entire Kai Empire. The only person you have to kill is me. Just me." Emperor Genki's words made Nagato stop stepping. Honestly now Nagato did not understand the words of Emperor Genki at all, his head turned to look at Emperor Genki's face for a few seconds.

"What does that mean?" Nagato sat down while walking closer to Shirayuki. Then Nagato sat down beside Shirayuki so that there would be no such thing.

"How did you feel after meeting your grandfather?" Shirayuki covered her mouth with a fan. Then he whispered to Nagato.

"He's not my grandfather. I am different from my father. My real grandfather was just a guy named Hyogoro and that guy." Nagato answered Shirayuki's words casually.

"That guy?" Shirayuki looked at Nagato who was clenching her hands.

"Hyogoro and Bisma. Those two are my grandfather. There's nothing else." Nagato let out a long breath. The gazes of the people to him made himself feel very uneasy seeing that very piercing gaze.

A very piercing gaze, some gazing with admiration, some with hatred, but for Nagato all the more it made him feel alone.

"Bisma? Who is the bisma he's referring to?" Shirayuki stared at Nagato who already looked calm.

The thing that had just happened between Emperor Genki and Nagato attracted the attention of many people. Among all those people, a swordsman who used two swords smiled faintly.

"It's not wrong anymore..." Hayabusa sat down while looking at Nagato who was sitting with Shirayuki from a distance.

Slowly the day had begun to afternoon, being seen on the field of the Tiger Circle Arena a young girl with glaring eyes won the match.

Hisui smiled happily as he walked over to Nagato and Shirayuki. The cute-eyed girl did not give up on approaching Nagato.

"What is my handsome brother talking about with my grandfather?" Suddenly Hisui sat beside Nagato.

"Stop calling me that. It's as if we've both been very familiar." Nagato still did not care about Hisui.

"I like a cold handsome brother like this." Hisui's hand held his cheek. Then he looked at Nagato's anxiety.

"This spoiled boy!" Nagato furrowed his brows feeling annoyed at feeling being played with by Hisui.

"Silver-looking. If I go in the top 8-..." Hisui swallowed his own saliva. Suddenly he was very nervous talking to Nagato.

"What's? Talk very loudly..." Nagato looked at Hisui.

"If I go in the top 8 .. I .. I ..." Nagato looked at Hisui who was blushing his face.

"Me?" Nagato smiled faintly at the cute-eyed girl who was coming back to him. Nagato thought Hisui would never speak or approach him again, but now Hisui remains the same.

Hisui is still the same as just a moment ago. The cute-eyed girl seemed determined to make Nagato fall in love with her.

"I want my handsome brother to be mine for a day." Hisui said it quietly, his face looking down embarrassed. Then her eyes glanced at Nagato. "Can?"

"That's all?" Nagato is not sure Hisui can make the round of 8.

Hisui nodded slowly. Seeing that, Nagato gave a satisfactory answer to Hisui.

"alright. I'll be with you all day. That's if you make it into the round of 8." Nagato smiled faintly looking at Hisui's happy face.

"really?" Hisui seemed to not believe what he just heard.

"Yes" answered Nagato briefly.

"I love handsome brother." Hisui hugged Nagato's body. Then he dashed happily towards where Emperor Hizen and Yuki were.

"Naagato! Don't play with Aunt Shirayuki's heart!" Nagato goosebumps as Shirayuki whispers clearly in his ear.

"Relax Aunt Shirayuki .. The spoiled brat won't make the round of 8." Nagato smiled faintly.

"Hmm .. It looks like you two are getting closer." The cold voice of Iris sitting beside Nagato made Shirayuki smile.

"Are you jealous?" Nagato looked at Iris.

"No. I just feel like I can't get along with Hisui. That's all." Iris turned her face away.

Mujin's voice that finished the first preliminary round match made everyone slowly start to leave the Tiger Circle Arena.

"Thank you ladies and gentlemen. The preliminary round of the Tiger Kai Tournament today is quite up here." Mujin ended the preliminary round match on the first day. The number of participants is getting smaller. Optimistically, Mujin believes tomorrow there will be 32 participants who will compete in the round of 32.

Nagato glanced at the old Iris. Upon seeing the girl standing up, Nagato also stood up and walked over to Iris.

"Tonight, meet me in front of the inn. Remember, you have to come alone." Nagato whispered in Iris' ear and immediately left the girl.

Iris tried to stay calm, she didn't want anyone to see her embarrassed. Iris walked slowly waiting for Shirayuki.

"What is Iris talking about with Nagato?" Shirayuki walked beside her son.

"Dragon invited Iris to meet tonight, Mom." Shamefully Iris looked at her mother.

"Iris. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you about Nagato. But I want you to never let Nagato feel alone, when Nagato changes and disappears you'll find it hard to get back to him." Shirayuki looked at the face of her son who was curious about her words.

"Iris understands Mom. Iris loves Dragons anyway." Iris tried to digest her mother's words.
