Nagato Kagutsuchi: The Dawn
The Dawn 18: Jill City
“Laura, don't do that. Never kill yourself!” Kashima held onto Laura's shoulder and gripped her.
Nagato was troubled by the words of Laura and Kashima. As a person who attempted suicide many times, the words suicide were very sensitive in Nagato's ears.
“Not that. I mean I want to relieve the suffering that Orochi did! I don't have any fighting ability, but I will try not to be a burden to you!” Laura's words made Nagato not think his actions would find travel companions and like her.
“It doesn't matter if you don't have fighting ability. You can squeeze your brains out to help us.” Nagato accepts Sonjo and Laura as his friends.
Nagato shortly explained their plan. If they want to subvert the ruler of the Kinai Empire or the Rakuza Empire, then one thing they need to do is weaken the enemy's fighting strength.
“Human trading, slavery, underground business, armory and the source of chaos in the Ezzo Continent, Demon Worship Sect. We'll wipe them all out.” Nagato was clear to his friends. There was a reason why he had acted this far, throwing away his feelings and realizing his ambition to relieve his soul.
“Actually my plan is to kill Magma. Among all the people in the Ezzo Continent, I believe the Magma figure is the strongest. Therefore, I want to see how far my abilities develop before dealing with him.” Nagato's words made Sonjo smile, but Kashima and Laura were shocked. Hayabusa, Nekoya and Panda were silent.
“Against Magma, will deal with Disaster Organization. There is no future or a good thing even if dealing with the group. But he is a demon king who colonizes humans right, Nagato?” While the others held their breaths after hearing the explanation, only Sonjo responded to Nagato's words with a childish tone.
“Yes, while Kazan is outside this continent. I want to liberate my homeland, Azbec. The place where it all started.” Nagato ended the conversation.
Before long they chatted for quite a while in the rubble of the ruins of the headquarters of the Blood Sword Association. Laura doesn't believe people like Nagato travel without money. From his appearance Nagato was a thinker and looked handsome. His good looks made Nagato look perfect, but Laura did not expect Nagato to be this reckless.
Their next destination was Jill City which was in the Plasa Kingdom. After making a riot in Leftnout City, Nagato looked at Leftnout City from the top of the hill before continuing on his way.
Somewhere close to the town of Jill is an underground group that is the mastermind of human trafficking and slavery. Nagato thought if he should continue to provoke the anger of the Kinai Empire and the Rakuza Empire.
Nagato also realized that if he ended the group involved in human trafficking, then no one would end up being a slave.
“Nagato, have you visited Cakrawyuha Forest?” Actually Hayabusa wanted to ask earlier after seeing Nagato holding Kusanagi Sword and not Pandu's relic sword.
“But.” Nagato only answered briefly, the rest he just kept quiet on the way. There was nothing he wanted to discuss about the Cakrawyuha Forest with his friends.
Hayabusa did not ask any further after hearing Nagato's usual response. He thought he could use Pandu's sword relics, but the rumors about Pandu's sword that had claimed his life due to the user's incompatibility also became curious as to how Nagato did not carry the sword.
The first experience of a world outside of the Kai Empire was the hell of the world. Ever since the cold night that had drawn his bones, Nagato had already made up his mind.
Somebody has to do it. Someone has to end it, ‘There is no time to think of my actions as right or wrong. If I show my weakness, then I will lose my precious ones back. I'll show them the perfect fear!’
A few days had passed, the journey of Nagato and his friends could be spelled out without a hitch. Thanks to the help of Laura who has money from her labor, the girl who is the same age as Kashima rented an inn for where they spent the night.
The appearance of Nekoya and Panda was also slightly different, as they both wore robes that covered all parts of his body, even to the head.
“We stayed at Jill City, Nagato. I still have enough money to stay.” Laura said with a gasping breath.
“Thank Laura. Next time I'll make money.” Nagato responded briefly.
Kashima looked at Nagato with a probing gaze, “What? Whahuh? Don't tell me you want to make a living for Laura-Chan, well, Nagato-Sama?”
Nagato did not respond to Kashima's deliberate teasing, but stopped his footsteps when he saw a town not far from them.
Entering the borders of the Plasa Kingdom can be done by passing through the wilderness, without having to deal with the border guard troops.
“We don't have to worry. Keep behaving as usual so that no one suspects us.” Hayabusa looked at Jill City from a distance.
Jill City is a city with a magnificent infrastructure located in the Kingdom of Plasa. Ever since Emperor Orochi and the Rakuza Empire burned down the previous Capital of the Plasa Kingdom, Jill City could be considered the new Capital of the Plasa Kingdom.
Indeed, after the attack by the Rakuza Empire, the leadership of Orochi increasingly strengthened. Disputes between families or clans utilized Orochi well. By working with a family that had grudging ambitions for the royal family, Orochi was able to subjugate the other lands of the Ezzo Continent in such a way.
Nagato himself realized that the power of Emperor Orochi had a terrible destructive power. After entering Jill City, Nagato slept in a room with Hayabusa, Panda and Sonjo. While Laura slept with Kashima, Nekoya and Chibi.
“Originally you have money, then the process of entering the city will run smoothly. From tomorrow I will hunt for gold because I am a knight hero hunter.” Sonjo muttered and laid his body on the floor.
Nagato was chatting with Panda. The story of the Panda about the ocean conditions outside the Ezzo Continent made Nagato surprised.
“Nagato, I took the treasures belonging to the Blood Sword Association. Are we going to use it? I thought you didn't like the money from the loot.” Hayabusa came to bring sake and delicious food to the room.
Nagato stared at Hayabusa, “I have my own principles.”
Hearing Nagato's reply, Hayabusa began to eat voraciously using the spoiled money.
After traveling from Leftnout City to Jill City, they rested their bodies to face tomorrow.
When night fell, Nagato ate with his friends using hard and potluck bread. You could say this is a lesson for Nagato when experiencing a money crisis.
“I want to eat raw fish..” Chibi and Nekoya muttered together before falling asleep.
In the next room, Panda hugged Hayabusa's body tightly, “Bambu is very unpleasant..”.
That night, Hayabusa could not fall asleep because of the Panda that hugged her body. While Nagato calmed himself down by trying to see an overview of some of his new techniques.
