Nagato Kagutsuchi: The Dawn

Nagato Kagutsuchi: The Dawn
Ch. 235 — Grandpa Hyogoro's Last Words

The central room of the East Sun Inn, especially the Fuyumi Clan lodging place.

Inside the room were seen all the warriors from the Fuyumi Clan sitting together. There are also Gyuki, Sachie, Hayabusa, Matsuri and Serlin who are telling the last moments of Grandpa Hyogoro.

Nagato quietly kept quiet and glanced at Hanabi who was in the middle room with Hana. Seen as Hanabi looked at Nagato cynically, even the reddish-black haired girl still felt disappointed with Nagato.

Litha sat down beside Nagato and hugged Iris who was beside her. Soon Hayabusa begins to recount Grandpa Hyogoro's last moments before his death.

Back a few days ago during a mission to destroy the Demon Worshiping Sect that had its headquarters in Shikaku Cliffs, Kinai Empire.

The Demon Worshiping Sect had a close relationship with the Spider, one of the underground organizations in other words the organization that sold slaves as well as the organization that supported the Demon Worship Sect completed the Beast Project.

On a sad night, the rain dyed a deep sadness. The body of Commander Goro was lying on the ground and lifeless, while Grandpa Hyogoro was still breathing, yet very weak.

Kuina cried to see Grandpa Hyogoro who looked so badly injured, part of his internal organs were destroyed, as well as Commander Goro who was worse than Grandpa Hyogoro.

Serlin who was standing beside Kuina hugged her comrade, “Kuina It is difficult to say words let alone give encouragement when he himself is also sad.

“Kakek Hyogoro..” Kuina muttered softly before shouting hysterically, “Kakek Hyogoro! Don't leave! You still have Nagato and Litha!”

Hawk and Matsuri crouched down looking at Grandpa Hyogoro's eyes that opened slowly, but his gaze was blank. I don't know what he saw, but Grandpa Hyogoro looks so pitiful.

“Kakek Hyogoro, we have to go to the place of Chairman Hana, Misuzawa Clan. I'm sure Chief Hana can cure Grandpa!” Kuina cried hysterically and held Grandpa Hyogoro's hand.

Serlin cried beside Kuina, while Hayabusa and Matsuri stared at Grandpa Hyogoro deeply.

Matsuri holds Grandpa Hyogoro's stomach and sheds tears, “Kuina She wanted to say something but after seeing Kuina's sadness, Matsuri's mouth closed tightly and she undoed her intention.

“Sister Matsuri, can you give Grandpa first aid!” Kuina again cried out hysterically, tears continued to pour profusely in her eyes.

Matsuri bit her lower lip and cried, “Sorry..”.

Kuina shook her head and looked at Matsuri, “What do you mean, Big Brother Matsuri? I don't understand what you mean... Aren't you the son of Chief Hana? You can definitely cure him?!”

Kuina yelled so much, then she looked at Serlin, “Oh, yes. Serlins! Give your healing magic to Grandpa Hyogoro! Like you treated me and Azai!”

“Quina! Grandpa Hyogoro..” Serlin cried and hugged her mother who stood beside her, “Kakek Hyogoro can not be cured with my magic.”.

“I have tried to heal the wounds in Commander Goro and Hyogoro. But human healing magic cannot treat a hole wound in the stomach or other parts of the body.” Merlin looked at Kuina who was crying hysterically.

Grandpa Hyogoro smiled faintly, “Litha... Don't noise. Organs in Grandpa already destroyed.. Grandpa's life is over..”.

Kuina cried at Grandpa Hyogoro's words, let alone her hearing Grandpa Hyogoro's words who thought of herself as Litha.

“Grandpa! I'm Kuina..” Kuina's hand touched Grandpa Hyogoro's hand and held it, “Don't Grandpa still have Nagato and Litha? Don't leave them both!”

Hyogoro's grandfather cried, his tears blending with the rain that hit his body. Although open, his eyes were dark, but he could still see a glimmer of light as Nagato and Litha trained with him. In his memory.

“Then I can't save my helper and my wife... I've lost my way..” Grandpa Hyogoro's shrill voice made Kuina and the others silently listen.

“My wife, child and student died first.” His breathing sounded slow and his voice sounded heartbreaking, “But...., an assassin like me is still alive.. I should have been the one who died..

Kuina cried and shook her head, “That's not true... Grandpa Hyogoro, you still have something to take care of..”.

Grandpa Hyogoro smiled happily, “I will not last much longer... So this is what death feels like.”.

Kuina cried and tried to remain calm listening to Grandpa Hyogoro's last words.

”I until now survive just want to see my two grandchildren achieve their dreams.” Hyogoro's grandfather remembered Nagato and Litha's faces. At the last moment, her tears drenched her sad face and soaked in rain water mixed with tears and blood.

Hyogoro's grandfather had long wanted to leave a world he thought had no future for him, but Nagato and Litha became the main reason he continued to survive.

“I want to see them grow up... When nearing my death, even I miss them both so much.” Grandpa Hyogoro's words made everyone who heard him cry.

“Litha, I'm sure you can achieve your dreams. The world is a vast place, you have to find and prove it yourself.” Hyogoro's grandfather cried, his eyes closed imagining Litha smiling at him.

Before long Nagato's image of being visibly upset made Grandpa Hyogoro smile in a cry of sadness.

“Nagato, you must have a dream of your own. Litha's example and take care of her. Because Ltiha is the sister and brother that you have to take care of..” Kuina's hand clasped Grandpa Hyogoro's hand tighter as it appeared that Grandpa Hyogoro was nearing his end.

“I want to see you have a dream and reach for it, forget your grudges and look around you. You're not alone, Nagato.” Grandpa Hyogoro smiled considering Nagato who always fought with him because of differences of opinion, “I'm sure you will become a great person and achieve your dreams when you have your own dreams. Because you are my student, Nagato.”.

“Kakek..” Kuina could not bear to see Grandpa Hyogoro who was still worrying about Nagato and Litha in her last moments.

Long Grandpa Hyogoro fell silent, everyone stared at Grandpa Hyogoro whose eyes were closed.

Hyogoro's grandfather remembered Nagato and Litha's faces. Longing and sorrow mixed into one, even now he did not feel the slightest pain in his hollow stomach.

“*Litha, tell me. Are you happy to have a grandfather like me?”

“Litha is proud to have a grandfather. Because Litha has no grandfather..”.

“So Grandpa Hyogoro is a very meritorious grandfather because it teaches Litha the meaning of life*.”.

Tears soaked Grandpa Hyogoro's face remembering Litha. Litha's voice and face vaguely reflected in her head.

“*Nagato. Are you happy when I think of you as my grandson?”

“I'm so happy! You are my grandfather and a very meritorious teacher in my life!"

"I'll repay you one day*!"

Hyogoro's grandfather smiled remembering Nagato kowtowing at him and saying words that made him feel proud.

But tonight he cannot accompany his two students forever. From now on and forever he could not scold and give advice to Nagato and Litha.

”I can't scream to scold Nagato and Litha as they both act out..” When Grandpa Hyogoro was silent for quite a while. Everyone listened to the last words the teacher from Nagato and Litha wanted to say.

“From now onwards.. I can't keep an eye on them both..” Hyogoro's grandfather cried while trying to say something to Nagato and Litha, “Nagato! Litha! Thank you for being there for a murderer like your grandfather... Forgive your useless grandfather. Grandpa only taught you two how to kill... You two are grandfather's pride... Kato, Litha... Thank you for being a granddaughter of grandfather!”

Grandpa Hyogoro's smile and cry adorned his face as his last words were spoken. That night, that second, under the rain and starless night sky, Grandpa Hyogoro breathed his last.

Everyone cried seeing Grandpa Hyogoro had already left them for good. Even the military soldiers of the Kai Empire who did not know Grandpa Hyogoro cried when they saw Hayabusa and Matsuri crying.

I'm sorry, Nagato, Litha...

I'm just a killer like a fool and an old dreamer.

You two have given me the desire to live longer.

This is the end of my journey.

Since childhood I wanted to create a place of peace and a country without discrimination.

I am so grateful to you both.

You two gave me everything

Hyogoro or better known as the Killer Monster Kai has breathed his last.

His stomach wound became the end of his life. But on the back of his pride that there is a symbol of the sun or since he became a follower of Kagutsuchi Sura, there is not a single scar and scratch.
