Ch. 280 — Despair
Raido moves at high speed but the Hound and Hayabusa block him.
“Hardheaded! You two I gave you a chance to live but you stopped me!” Raido unleashed his power. Lightning armour coated his body.
“I don't need that pity of yours! A swordsman would rather die than live for the mercy of a man like you!” Hayabusa continues to launch attacks on Raido.
A gust of wind cut through the building but not with Raido's body. The blows and fire kicks launched by the Hound burned everything around it, but did not burn Raido's body.
“Your attacks will not work against me!”
After saying so, Raido began to coat both his hands with lightning before unleashing a large ball of lightning. His attack this time was so fast, the ball of lightning exploded while directly in front of Hound and Hayabusa.
Hayabusa's body was bounced back with a chest drenched in blood. Not yet had he returned to move, Raido was already in front of him. Raido's palm created a lightning sword from his strength. The lightning sword he drew on Hayabusa's stomach.
The sword pierced through Hayabusa's stomach. Not stopping there, Raido this time kicked the stomach of Hayabusa who was hit by the stab of his lightning sword.
“Sial! His strength is still far above mine!” Hayabusa stared at Raido. His body fell far away and fell to the ground.
Raido did the same to Hound. After that he moved at high speed towards where Ignist was.
Raido is shocked to see Ignist's body pierced by dozens of swords. At high speed using his strength, Raido unleashed a lightning spear strike that shot out those who pierced Ignist's stomach.
“Mr Ignist!” Raido approaches Ignist.
“Let me kill them! You killed those boys over there! Don't let them escape!” Ignist pointed at Oichi who was carrying Iris and Ichiba who was carrying Hika and Tika.
Raido did not answer Ignist's words but immediately went after Oichi.
Ignist released his bodily aura and let out an incredible gripping air. His body enlarged before turning into a Red Dragon completely.
The roar from his mouth echoed. Ignist flew up. His Red Dragon body was drenched in blood. The stab wounds are clearly visible. This time Ignist launched a blind attack. The fire coming out of his mouth was ravaging the fiery night.
A ring of fire that confined Emi and the others made Ignist who was in his Red Dragon form smile with a grin for the times he would make sure everyone who stabbed him died.
“Nothing bothers you! I'll kill you all!” Ignist changed his form back to being human.
This time he would finish off the people who had stabbed him. Ignist picked up the two swords that were on the street. The sword that had just pierced through his stomach he clasped before cutting off the two hands of the dead Takatsugu.
Ignist looked at Satsuma and Chosu who were lying on the ground. Then as usual, he asked the two people about the whereabouts of the Kagutsuchi descendants.
“Tell me where the undead are?!” Ignist asked the existence of Kagutsuchi Sura to Satsuma and Chosu.
“Until matipun! I won't tell you, a human being is a demon!” Satsuma shouted back at Ignist's question.
The sword in Ignist's right hand slashed at Satsuma's head until it slipped from his body. With a face filled with anger, Ignist looked at the smiling Chosu looking at him.
“You will get a reply from your actions someday. I'm sure it is. The sword thrust from us will continue you feel until you are in the afterlife, demon!” Chosu smiled broadly at Ignist's face filled with anger.
Just as Satsuma ended. Ignist also ended Chosu's life by beheading him.
“You guys seem to be saying the same thing with these two fools!” Ignist unleashed a killing spree on Emi and the others.
“My sword will kill you in the future. The cold that has pierced your body you will feel until anytime!”
Right after Emi finished her words, Ignist instantly slashed at Emi's stomach. At that moment, Emi breathed her last breath with a smile.
Ignist killed the other Clan Chief. Then he changed his form back into a Red Dragon and flew high in the sky.
Meanwhile, Raido who is chasing Oichi gets a hitch from Mujin and Shin. Both of them faced Raido despite knowing the strength of the Element Type Holy Water user: The lightning.
Raido passed both of them and instantly grabbed Iris' hair. Then throw the beautiful girl towards Litha. Then he looked at Oichi who looked troubled to run.
Ichiba who knows Oichi is pregnant immediately tells Hika and Tika to help Litha before he moves at high speed to shake his sword to target Raido.
Raido's body was slashed, but a collection of lightning that fused around his stomach made Ichiba aware that Raido's power was far above him.
Raido hits Ichiba's stomach. The lightning-coated punch made Ichiba's body feel crumpled. Raido is about to hit Oichi's stomach, but Nagato suddenly holds his hand. Nagato's body was drenched in blood, but Nagato's gaze was even more burning and neither fading nor extinguishing.
His body was filled with incredible anger. He knew Emi and the others were dead. There is no time to be sad. Now he sees someone trying to kill Oichi, who is Azai's wife. Nagato must protect Oichi. If he is unable to protect Oichi, then he will feel ashamed to meet Azai.
“Bocah. Your gaze is the same as mine as when I was a child.” Raido smiled widely and let Nagato hit his body. Nagato's punch was simply not felt for him. The act was only based on anger, while Nagato's body was already unable to move freely.
In just one shot of Raido. Nagato's mouth was bleeding when his stomach was hit by the thunderbolt-covered crushing blow.
Raido felt a chilling chill. He turned his head to look at Iris who looked so angry, looking at him hatefully. In one move, Iris launched an attack. Hundreds of ice swords floated in the air and moved at high speed through Raido's stomach.
Nagato went to great lengths to stop Raido from hitting Iris.
“Interesting! You two seem to have a special relationship!” Raido looked at Nagato who was blocking his way.
“No I'll let you touch my son!” Shirayuki let go of the cold. His body was filled with a blue mark. The streets froze.
Shirayuki instantly froze Raido with her power. But Raido's body coated with lightning can destroy the chunks of ice that freeze his body.
Iris realizes her mother is imposing herself and using forbidden powers. The tight-fitting white skin of Shirayuki began to wrinkle.
“Aunt Shirayuki! Let me help you! My powers are very useful to help you!” Litha staggered closer to Shirayuki.
“Do not leave us..” Litha softly said to Shirayuki. He noticed the change in Iris's countenance that worried Shirayuki.
“Litha..” Shirayuki herself felt desperate. Naturally in a situation like this, there was already no gap to escape.
Litha touched Shirayuki's back and flowed the mana into the body of the beautiful woman. Shirayuki's body began to glow slowly.
No one realized that if Litha used this power in exchange she would lose her memory. His nose was bleeding, before long Litha grimaced in pain.
Shirayuki instantly moved at high speed when she heard Litha's scream. This time he will try his best to kill Raido. At least he killed one of the five people who wreaked havoc.
Nagato and Iris help Litha, while Hika and Tika along with Oichi are examining Ichiba's situation.
