Ch. 39 - Marriage
After that Kuina told Litha and the others to leave the room for a while as there was an important matter that she wanted to talk about with Nagato.
Kuina restrained Iris as the little girl was about to stand up from the chair beside Nagato's bed.
Shortly after Litha and the others came out, Shirayuki entered Nagato's room.
"Mother?" Iris looked at her mother because the look on her face was different from what she used to be, Shirayuki looked agitated.
Shirayuki closed the room door, after which she stepped closer to the three of them.
"Iris, there's something important I want to talk to you about." Shirayuki was warm to her only daughter.
"Yes ma'am." Iris was curious about the important thing her mother wanted to talk to her about, because it was the first time Iris saw her mother looking nervous and agitated.
"You've woken up Young Master Nagato." Shirayuki said to Nagato who was looking at her.
"Yes." Yeah." Nagato looked at the faces of Shirayuki and Iris while comparing the mother and child.
"Just her hair is different, Iris I think she's beautiful but still prettier my mother." Nagato's inner self laid back.
"Young Master Nagato, thank you for saving my son." Shirayuki smiled warmly at Nagato.
"Wait, they both mother and child deserve it." Nagato's mind as he narrowed his eyes looked at Iris.
"It's okay, after all, it's my duty because I invited Iris to work together." Nagato smiled cynically at Iris.
Iris stared intently at Nagato and was a little annoyed at the young man's smile like he wanted to sneer at him.
The little girl touched Nagato's left hand and slightly pressed him because Iris was sitting in the chair next to Nagato so that the little girl easily judged Nagato.
Nagato clenched his teeth as he endured the pain as Iris pressed against his broken left hand.
Iris smiled cynically at Nagato.
"Racaine!" inner Iris while blinking her eyes at Nagato.
Shirayuki took the chair in Nagato's room and the woman sat down next to her son.
"There's something I want to talk to you both about." Shirayuki looked serious and nervous at the same time.
"Yes mom, what's wrong?" Iris smiled warmly at her mother.
Nagato turned his face to the side with a deep sigh as Iris no longer pressed her broken hand.
"This is an important conversation, because it concerns the future of both of you, so listen carefully." Shirayuki tried to calm herself down before explaining to Iris and Nagato about their matchmaking.
"Young Master Nagato, I actually want to match Young Master to this daughter of mine, but I have to talk this out to the two of you first." Shirayuki stroked the princess's hair with affection while looking at Nagato.
Nagato woke up from his sleep when he heard Shirayuki's words.
Nagato and Iris were shocked simultaneously after which the two of them looked at each other.
"Wait, mate? I don't really care either." inner Nagato while looking at Iris.
"Eh ... Mom wants to match me with the Dragon, I didn't hear wrong, did I?" inner Iris while looking at the man she was betrothed to.
"You two think well, you're young so there's still plenty of time to get to know each other." Shirayuki smiled at the reaction of her daughter and Nagato who were looking at each other.
"Mother .. I." Iris's face reddens, the little girl holds her mother's hand gently.
Nagato smiled thinly while covering his mouth with his right hand, so that the smile on his face was not visible.
"Stupid to Iris? Hmmm .. " murmured Nagato quietly.
Kuina smiled at Nagato's reaction, as it seemed that the son of her teacher was also interested in Iris.
"T-Wait ... " Iris looked at Nagato because the young man seemed like he wanted to say something.
"We only met one day ago?" Nagato frowned as he was thinking about something.
"You have known for fifteen days." said Kuina.
"Fifteen? No. I think it was only one day because I was asleep for thirteen days and the events of that night did not count." Nagato muttered as he looked at Kuina.
"Nagato, the teacher once told me that love will grow over time, so you two just accept this matchmaking, I don't mind, I think you two are a compatible couple in the future." Kuina chuckled lightly at Nagato who was confused.
Iris looked at Nagato with embarrassment - shame.
"Na-Naga, don't you mind this?" Iris was nervous when she wanted to say something to Nagato, the little girl's lips twitched.
"Huh? Dragon?" nagato murmured when she heard Iris say her name.
"I don't mind, after all we both have enough time to get to know each other, if we're all grown up and don't feel right for each other, then we just cancel this matchmaking." nagato said calmly and clearly.
"At the same time I do not deserve to think of such a thing as love, for I .. "inner Nagato remembered the words of the Shinigami, I don't know why his heart is late - this ending has become soft and doesn't give much thought to his hatred for Kazan.
Iris blushed embarrassed at the words of Nagato, the little girl who rarely smiled or laughed now that after meeting Nagato, the little girl had changed a little.
"Iris, don't you mind this matchmaking?" nagato asked Iris.
"No." Iris replied briefly while trying to smile at Nagato.
Shirayuki and Kuina looked at each other and smiled.
"From today you two are officially engaged, the four of us in this room will be a witness" Shirayuki told Iris and Nagato.
Nagato extended his little finger at Iris.
"Your finger." Nagato's inner self wiggled his little finger as Iris looked confused.
"You're like a child." Iris extended her little finger at Nagato.
After that, the two of them hooked their little fingers to each other.
Shirayuki and Kuina smiled at the manner of the two of them.
Neither Nagato nor Iris realized that this was a start that would change everything in the future, where Nagato regained the part of himself that was filled with hatred even Nagato became a cold-blooded person while Iris became a proud and cold female figure.

After Nagato's matchup with Iris, Grandpa Hyogoro intends to return to the Forest of his hiding place.
"Where's Nagato?" Hyogoro's grandfather was walking through the entire room of the inn to find Nagato.
"Grandfather, Nagato is seriously injured, he is with Kuina in his room." Azai said, drinking coffee.
"Oh yeah, I forgot hahaha." Grandpa Hyogoro chuckled.
"Azai, we continue the journey today, I want to hurry away because there are things to avoid and I don't want to get involved in it." Hyogoro's grandfather added.
"Grandfather, what do you mean?" Azai was curious about Grandpa Hyogoro who looked restless.
"There's a general who's been to this city, it's going to be troublesome if we get involved with them!" Hyogoro's grandfather massaged his forehead with his middle and index fingers.
"Grandfather, wait here and prepare your preparations with Mr. Shugo, I'll call the others first." Azai stepped on his feet to invite Nagato and the others to hurry.
Kuina and Shirayuki walked out of Nagato's room and left the two of them.
Nagato looked at Iris who had come back to him but the little girl also looked worried about him.
"Am I the first man you know?" Nagato looked serious and looked at Iris who was sitting beside his bed.
"No, I've seen other men before you" Iris replied briefly.
Nagato now just kept quiet and did not say anything else to Iris, the little girl was annoyed that Nagato felt indifferent to her answer.
"You were the first man I knew." Iris looks cute when she is shy - shy and innocent to say something.
"Good, and you are the fourth woman I know after Litha, Chiaki and Chaika." Nagato smiled cynically at Iris.
"Dragon! Now I feel so upset!" Iris stood up and pinched Nagato's cheeks violently.
Iris pinched Nagato's cheeks hard enough to see the marks pinching her nails, but after touching Nagato's cheeks, Iris squeezed Nagato's cheeks for longer.
"What the hell?" Nagato held Iris's hand and pulled her, pushing the little girl forward.
Nagato's room door opened, Litha and the others were shocked to see Nagato and Iris.
"I don't see anything!" Chiaki closed her eyes.
"Well, I don't look at it either." Chaika hid behind her brother's back.
Litha stared intently at the two of them, the little girl was jealous to see Nagato who looked close to Iris.
"Iris, you learned a valuable lesson from this mission." Tika chuckled as she rubbed Iris.
"I didn't expect a woman as cold as Iris to melt down with Nagato" Hika muttered softly as she looked at Nagato and Iris.
Nagato was shocked and unaware of the arrival of Litha and the others.
"No, it's not what you think it is." Iris pushed Nagato's body while trying to stand up.
"Slow down." Nagato murmured as Iris looked unconcerned about the wound.
Iris stared coldly at Nagato until the air temperature around Iris became cold.
"Fresh." muttered Nagato enjoying the cold sensation around him.
Iris frowned at Nagato's words who was relaxed and seemed to be deliberately rubbing against him.
Soon Azai came with Serlin to get Nagato and Litha to hurry.
"Nagato, it looks like we have to continue the journey." Azai approached Nagato.
"Alright but make me Azai's wand for this footrest of mine." Nagato held onto his broken left leg.
"I'll make it for you." Azai scratched his head.
"Azai we leave tomorrow morning, today it's too late to continue the journey." Grandpa Hyogoro looks rushed because he is adjusting his breath.
"Did? Wasn't it grandpa who asked me to tell Nagato and the others." Azai let out a long breath.
"Sorry .. sorry .. I'm in too much of a hurry, but tomorrow we have to hurry onward." Grandpa Hyogoro smiled at Azai.
"Alright, then I'll make a stick for Nagato." Azai left Nagato's room.
