Nagato Kagutsuchi: The Dawn
The Dawn 7: Hayabusa
After burying Sura in the Valley of the Sun which was once the residence of the Kagutsuchi Clan, Nagato immediately rushed off towards the Me Region with Chibi and Panda.
On Nagato's journey through the forest far from the settlement, even the streets that are often passed by many people. After a three-day journey, Nagato finally reached the Me Region.
The Ancient Ruins City looked better than it did a few years ago when Grandpa Hyogoro took him to this friend of the exiles. Nagato stared at the increasingly crowded residential settlement with Chibi and Panda from the top of the hill.
“Nagato, do you have any money?” Chibi asks because Nagato only relies on hunting animals to survive.
“I have no money at all.” Nagato covered his face with a white cloth. Then he intended to take Chibi and Panda into the Ancient Ruins City.
“Nagato, I'm afraid of humans.” Panda stopped his steps. Nagato observed the Panda. He knew Panda might still be traumatized by people's treatment of him.
“If anyone insults you, then they will deal with me. You're my friend, Panda. Don't think of others.” Nagato walked back after saying so.
‘Cih, they always judge someone from the outside only!’ Nagato clicked his tongue.
“Ayo Panda..” Chibi looked at the slow-moving Panda behind Nagato.
After entering the Ancient Ruins City, of course Nagato's presence attracted the attention of many people. Nagato immediately accelerated his footsteps towards where Grandma Beo was.
The hallway-like building made Panda hold Nagato's back. While Chibi directly asked Nagato to put it on his shoulder.
“Viewed in any way this place looks very suspicious..” The panda looked at the darkness in the hallway.
“Wait, I forgot to bring my parrot favorite grain!” Nagato stopped his steps right in front of the passageway.
“Take it easy, Nagato. I remember how the parrot insulted me. This time I'll catch them. Just look!” Chibi who was on Nagato's shoulders was already in a precarious position.
Nagato took a breath before entering the passageway with Chibi and Panda. The darkness and water droplets that fell from above many times made the Panda jump holding Nagato's shoulder. The more they get inside, the more stuffy they get.
“Nagato, this place is very stuffy..” The panda watched his surroundings vigilantly. Before long two parrots perched on the heads of Chibi and Panda.
“Argh!”
“Meong!”
Nagato clicked his tongue hearing Panda and Chibi yelling almost simultaneously.
“Sorry, if this place is stuffy. You've been awaited, Nagato.” The sound of a talking parrot made Panda surprised.
“Nagato, can the animal speak?” The surprised expression of Panda made Nagato let out a long sigh.
“Cih, you yourself can also talk..” Nagato muttered softly and went inside the end of the hallway. There Grandma Beo was waiting for him.
“I know someday you'll come to see me.” Grandma Beo greeted Nagato who had just entered her room.
“Who is that black and white bear? Is he the Beast you're selling?” Grandma Beo stood up and looked at Panda closely.
“Dia..”
“I Panda, another black bear white!” Panda stared fiercely at Grandma Beo.
“He speaks!” Grandma Beo gasped in shock. It was her first experience seeing an animal like a Panda that could talk.
“Sit Nagato. I'll make you tea.” Grandma Beo went straight into the other room.
“I failed to catch that parrot! As expected, raw fish tastes better than birds!” Chibi is still traumatized by what just happened.
Nagato was already getting used to Chibi and Panda's attitude. Once Chibi can speak, Nagato can tell if Chibi has human-like emotions. Although Chibi is a female, Nagato considers her a male cat because of her laziness.
Moments later Grandma Beo came with warm tea and food. When he saw Panda drinking warm tea, Grandma Beo was surprised again. Nagato was silent and did not care.
Before long the sound of footsteps from the hallway sounded. The footsteps of Hayabusa who came with Demet and Devon.
“Demet, she screams!”
“Devon, I didn't hear wrong?”
Demet and Devon are shocked to see Panda, while Hayabusa is shocked to hear how Panda screams.
“This black and white bear is named Panda. He is his friend Nagato.” Grandma Beo introduced Panda to Demet, Devon and Hayabusa.
“I'm Panda, another bear!” Panda looks upset when people call it a bear.
Upon hearing Nagato's name, Demet and Devon immediately tried to stare at the sixteen-year-old. Hayabusa smiled to see Nagato get through his difficult times.
“For a long time no see, you two..” Nagato greeted Demet and Devon casually. The two immediately returned Nagato's greeting and chatted.
The three of them chatted briefly before Devon and Demet informed the identity of the traitor or some major incident in the Kai Empire lately. After listening to Demet and Devon's words, Nagato simply kept silent and did not respond to anything.
“Nagato, tell me what you mean by coming to see me?” Grandma Beo handed over the last letter Hyogoro Grandpa had written before his death.
Nagato held the letter. The letter contained a message for himself and Litha.
“Grandmother Beo, tell me the hiding place of the Demon Worship Sect. That's why I came to see you.” Nagato took the letter after saying so.
Grandma Beo let out a long sigh as she had already guessed the intention of Nagato's arrival. Before telling the hiding place of the Demon Worship Sect, Grandma Beo told the chaos that the Demon Worship Sect had caused over the past few years.
The Demon Worshipping Sect had many members, it was just that most members of the Demon Worshiping Sect were humans who became Gore's guinea pig. Even four years ago, the son of Emperor Hizen studied with Gore.
“Hiragi..” Nagato raised his eyebrows hearing Grandma Beo's words.
“Most likely Hiragi's goal is to kill his own biological father.” Granny Beo.
The Demon Worshipping Sect had four hiding places scattered throughout the Ezzo Continent. The first hiding place was on the border between the Kai Empire and the Kinai Empire. Second, the Demon Worshiping Sect had another hiding place in Ellesmere Kingdom. The third hiding place is in the Kingdom of Typhon.
“The main headquarters or last hideout is in the Rafinha Valley. A place close to Azbec Magic Kingdom and Ellesmere Kingdom.” Obviously Grandma Beo.
“Nagato, save this paper.” Grandma Beo gave the paper after she finished writing, “Do not act rashly. I've written everything I know here.”
Nagato accepted the paper and read it. Then he stood up to continue his journey.
“Thanks Grandma Beo. Your ability to communicate with birds helped me a lot.” Nagato ended the conversation and immediately rushed over, but his steps came to a halt as Grandma Beo held him back.
“Nagato, are you doing this for revenge?” Ask Grandma Beo just make sure.
Nagato took a deep breath, “More or less like that..” Nagato himself did not know for sure if his actions this time were right. It was just that he did not want to regret returning without doing anything.
“Nagato, let me join this group of yours. We've met before.” Hayabusa who had been silent began to speak up.
“Hayabusa..” Nagato looked at Hayabusa leaning against the wall near the hallway, “Alright. Your abilities will help me..”.
Grandma Beo let out a long sigh looking at Nagato's current state. But somehow the young man seems to be acting not for revenge, but for another purpose.
“Nagato, do you not intend to visit Hyogoro's tomb first?”
Nagato's footsteps stopped. His eyes widened and his heart rate raced faster. He set his breath to stay calm.
“It's not yet time for me to visit him. Right now I don't have any money to buy sake for him.” Nagato. He was unable to visit Grandpa Hyogoro's grave before he killed Gore and exterminated the Demon Worshiping Sect with his own hands.
After Nagato said so, he immediately left Granny Beo's place with Chibi and Panda. Hayabusa says goodbye to Grandma Beo and follows Nagato.
‘For a man who has no purpose in life like me. At least I want to return the favor of my teacher.’ Hayabusa said in her heart and looked at Nagato's back.
