Ch. 41 - Continue the Journey
Reto and Miake got out of the horse carriage followed by some warriors from the Kitakaze Clan, then they both approached Grandpa Hyogoro.
Reto smiled kindly at Grandpa Hyogoro after seeing her fight with her own eyes.
Shugo and Haru come out with some food, for them to eat.
Hyogoro and Reto's grandfather were chatting, while Serlin and Haru were making a bonfire with Azai and Shugo.
"Chicken, beef, mutton we're gonna make a barbeque." Haru looks so excited, when she looks like this she looks like an energetic Chiaki.
"Hehe." Serlin tried to smile when she saw Haru's behavior.
Nagato approached Grandpa Hyogoro and Reto, then greeted Reto.
"Uncle, I have an acquaintance who wants to become a disciple of the Kitakaze Clan" Nagato said as he wanted to tell Reto about Ninjin.
"Oh, who is that young master? The Kitakaze clan has always been open to talented children and has a strong will in practicing martial arts." replied Reto who looks more polite to Nagato.
"His name is Ninjin, he's from a farming family in Yasai City." Nagato looked at Reto.
"Tell him my regards when my friend is already part of the Kitakaze Clan." Nagato added.
Reto smiled looking at Nagato, the young boy who greeted her reminded her of a swordsman in the past.
"I've heard this before when the swordsman told me to raise Miake as my adopted son." Reto thought hard but did not remember it.
"Well, I'll send Young Master's greetings to Ninjin." Reto remembers Nagato's friend's name.
Nagato smiled at Reto's reply, after which he left and went to sit under a shady tree.
Night sank in the western horizon, the cloud pool changed into the night sky, the wind blew swaying the green leaves to fall.
Nagato let go of fatigue by sitting leaning under a shady tree, his eyes looking around him and watching people who were busy with their own activities.
The gusts of wind started to feel cold on Nagato's skin, when he was releasing tired and closed his eyes because he enjoyed the atmosphere that made his heart calm when the wind gusts continued to blow the shady tree that became Nagato's leaning place.
Then Litha appears, Chiaki and Chaika invite Nagato to make a barbeque.
Nagato opened his eyes slowly while exhaling his breath slowly.
"Barbeques? Even they were carrying grills, noble families were great." murmured Nagato who saw Shugo taking out a grill along with the warriors from the Kitakaze Clan.
"Nagato, let's make it together!" chiaki said as she approached Nagato.
"Hmmm .. I find it hard to move so I'll just wait here." replied Nagato because he was lazy to waste energy which he thought was unnecessary.
"Oh yeah, I forgot hehe." Chiaki stared at the bandage in Nagato's hands and feet.
"Brother, it's better to get dad to bring the grill here, so we can make a barbeque together" Chaika told Chiaki, though shy but Chaika is good at observing the situation around her.
"Surely, this is my sister, I'm going first!" Chiaki stroked Chaika's head then the little girl ran over.
Nagato who saw the difference between the two twin girls could only frown his forehead.
Litha sat beside Nagato, then the little girl also leaned under the shady tree where Nagato was leaning.
"Wisdom!" muttered Litha while closing her eyes.
"Chaika, leaning here is very comfortable." Litha invites Chaika to lean on the shady tree.
"Yes-Yes." Chaika walked slowly towards Litha and Nagato.
Nagato held his sword on his waist, then smiled faintly.
"It's comfortable, I'm going to bed." Chaika closed her eyes and enjoyed the night breeze.
Before long Shugo who brought a grill with Chiaki was in front of the three of them.
"Eat first just slept." Shugo wakes Nagato and the others.
Haru and the others approached Shugo who was making a fire.
Litha and Chaika stood up then they helped Chiaki who was piercing small pieces of meat.
Nagato just watched them while enjoying the night view because the moon looks very beautiful accompanied by a cool night breeze.
After a few hours the barbeque was finished, Shugo and Haru did not bring any vegetables that became his companion.
"Mmmm ..great!" muttered Shugo who was eating a mature barbeque.
"Nagato wake!" Kuina turned her head to look at Nagato who was leaning against the shady tree.
Nagato was already asleep, Kuina stopped trying to wake Nagato up, then the girl enjoyed the ripe barbeque.
Chiaki and Haru looked so fond of the barbeque they made that even the two of them had already devoured dozens of stabs.
Slowly the day was getting late at night, after they had enjoyed the barbeque, they all rushed to sleep, a few warriors of the Kitakaze Clan stood guard around where they stopped and rested.
Litha sat next to Nagato and the girl leaned on Nagato's shoulders before falling asleep.
Litha covered Nagato's body and body with the robe Kuina gave her.
The night sky slowly changed into a collection of clouds that began to be seen because the dawn was almost to shine on the earth, slowly the morning dew began to appear and clench the leaves.
"Mmc ... Nagato." muttered Litha who was still asleep and leaned on Nagato's shoulder even the little girl hugged Nagato's body from the cold.
Nagato opened his eyes slowly and his body part felt a warmth hugging him.
"Litha." Nagato looked at Litha who was clutching her body, the little girl was still asleep.
Not long after Litha also woke up from her sleep, then the little girl found Nagato who was gently stroking her hair.
"N-Nagato." litha muttered softly as she rubbed her eyes together.
Nagato just smiled warmly at Litha, then tried to stand up slowly.
Then Litha led Nagato to walk, the little girl intending to wash her face.
"Yo, you two?" greet Grandpa Hyogoro who is feeding the horse with grass.
"Grandfather Hyo, it seems like grandfather woke up early." Nagato said as he walked closer to the horse carriage.
"It's normal." replied Grandpa Hyogoro briefly as he fed the horse.
After arriving at the horse-drawn carriage, Litha picked up a water bottle and the little girl washed her face with water in the small bottle.
"It's Nagato!" Litha gave Nagato a water bottle.
Nagato washed his face slowly, while enjoying the cold sensation of water soaking his face.
This morning they continued their journey to Mikawa City.
Shugo enters the carriage followed by his two children who are with Haru, then Kuina and Serlin are also washing their faces.
They continued their journey back to Mikawa City.
