Ch. 219 - The First Meeting of Nagato and Hayabusa!
Iris' mouth opened slowly. "Isn't that Guren Toshiko." Iris's hand held Nagato's sleeve. "Dragon, what exactly happened? Why is he like this?"
Nagato pulled Iris' hand gently and approached Guren Toshiko's corpse lying on the deserted streets of Daifuzen Capital. The quiet streets of Nagato and Iris passed by as it was close to the Tiger Circle Arena.
Given the East Sun Lodging close to the Tiger Circle Arena, Nagato and Iris preferred the route through the deserted streets. But they find something surprising, they find the body of Guren Toshiko lying on the ground with a knife-pierced stomach and all his clothes look full of tear marks like being torn by force.
Nagato closed Guren's eyes with his palm gently. "May you calm down there. I don't know who killed you, and we don't know each other. But I can only pray for the best for you, Guren Toshiko." Nagato was deep in his heart when Guren's eyes were closed.
Iris crouched down beside Nagato while looking at Nagato's face "Dragon, do we need to report this to my mother and Grandma Emi?"
Nagato closed his eyes. "Yes, I think this is something that we can't afford to mess with." Both eyes of Nagato stared at Iris. Not how long they both nodded.
"Wait on! Don't report this to anyone!" A man wearing a hood on his head and carrying two swords came over to Nagato and Iris. "See this!"
Nagato's eyes widened, while Iris had only seen the symbol for the first time. The skull and crescent emblem were red in color as blood was engraved on Guren's stomach which was drawn with the young girl's blood.
Nagato and Iris felt Guren's death was trgais. "Isn't this the emblem that burned Litha's dwelling!" In an instant Nagato was visibly emotional but Iris' hand clasped her hand tightly.
"Dragon, calm yourself..." Iris pulled Nagato's hand until the young man stood beside her.
"Buck! What are you two doing here?" The man stared intently at Nagato and Iris. But after seeing both of their faces, the man was shocked. "Are you not ... Fuyumi Nagato and Fuyumi Iris?"
Hearing that, Nagato looked at the man, but did not know him. "What exactly is going on here? Why did he end up like this?" Nagato asked to confirm it.
"Either, but this emblem belongs to the Demon Worshiping Sect whose name is famous in the Ezzo Continent." The man replied. "You can't get into this. Let me take care of it. It just so happened that I just went to one of the inns to kill dozens of intruders."
Nagato and Iris were silent at the words of the man wearing the hood. A few seconds later, Nagato again said, "I didn't ask you for it."
The man laughed. "Distress Nagato. Aren't you curious about my name?" Nagato and Iris took three steps away from the man.
"I don't wonder about your name. It's just that I'm more curious about the person who killed this Guren Toshiko!" Nagato stared intently at Guren Toshiko's corpse lying on the ground.
"Hayabusa. That's my name." The man checked the stab wound from a knife in Guren's stomach.
Nagato stared at Hayabusa. "I didn't ask your name!" While Iris looked at Hayabusa with vigilance. Considering Hayabusa's appearance looks suspicious.
"But, you two are the most attention-grabbing young genius warriors. And it turns out you guys have been dating. Hah, I'm surprised to see it." Hayabusa did not care about Nagato's words. "Young people are now big fast and aggressive."
Nagato and Iris flushed her face. "We're not dating!" Nagato and Iris tried to dodge Hayabusa's words simultaneously.
Hayabusa looked at Nagato and Iris' hands clasping each other. "Look at your ring finger. Just by looking at it I already know." Hayabusa laughed softly. Not how long his face turned serious.
"If only there was a clue about this son of a bitch! Shit!" Hayabusa gritted her teeth. Nagato and Iris were surprised to see him.
Nagato's eyes stared at the knife and the tear all over Guren's clothing body. Just a few seconds passed Nagato's mind about the Cute Cat that belongs to the type of Beast can help Hayabusa find clues.
"Chibi." Nagato impulsively called out the name of Litha's pet cat.
"Iris, we better get back to the Eastern Sun Inn. We have to keep it a secret from Aunt Shirayuki and Grandma Emi." Nagato tried to convince the beautiful girl whose hand he was holding. "I believe in this suspicious freak."
Iris laughed at Nagato's words. "It is precisely because he is suspicious that you should be wary of him, Dragon. But you even believe him. You're weird, Dragon." Iris' smile made Nagato blush in embarrassment.
"Don't you just say we shouldn't get involved and should report it to Grandma Emi?" Iris smiled thinly and stomped to see more clearly Nagato's reddened face.
"I believe this freak!" Nagato gently squeezed Iris's nose and then immediately took it off. "Forget it, we better leave this freak out. And call an adult to take care of this."
Hayabusa frowned. "Fuyumi Nagato, you said I was a freak, right?" Hayabusa's face was filled with anger. "Quick back! This is not a child's business like yours!" Hayabusa.
Nagato and Iris stared intently at Hayabusa. "Tell me your real purpose, Hayabusa?" Iris could not believe Nagato was calling Hayabusa's name like a friend so easily.
"I'm not gonna tell you. A boy like you better not interfere in adult matters." Hayabusa smiled grinningly looking at Nagato's face.
"Let's go, Iris!" After hearing Hayabusa's words, Nagato quickly withdrew Iris' hand.
"Dragon!" Iris surprised. The beautiful girl was confused. "Why are you, Dragon?"
Nagato continued walking while pulling Iris' hand. "Are you going to tell this to those in the Eastern Sun Inn?"
Iris quickened her pace and clasped Nagato's hand. Then he pulled Nagato's hand back until Nagato's body was in front of him.
"I'm going to tell Mom and Grandma Emi this" Iris told Nagato.
Nagato stared at Iris' face for quite a while. Then he took a long breath. "After all sooner or later something like this will become something horrendous." Nagato again pulled Iris' hand.
"Iris, wait a minute!" Nagato pulled out Iris's hand and hugged the beautiful girl's waist. "I want to hold you for a moment. Isn't this your request for having passed my challenge?"
"Eh? Dragon?" Iris surprised. His face was red. The beautiful girl did not believe Nagato would embrace her in the current situation, where anyone would see them.
Nagato looked at Hayabusa who was also staring at him. His hand signaled Hayabusa to wait for her in this place.
Upon seeing Hayabusa nod. Nagato took off his embrace and pulled back Iris' hand. "sorry. I did something embarrassing."
Iris smiled thinly. "Are you hiding something important from me?" Iris asked to be sure because she thought Nagato was not the type of young man who dared to embrace her without a definite reason.
"It was a gift from me for accompanying me." Nagato was looking for an excuse. However Iris could only try to believe Nagato's answer.
"All right, I believe you." Iris smiled gently at Nagato. Then he sat down in his heart. "Dragon, you want me not to get involved with that, right?" The beautiful girl guessed Nagato's heart.
Before arriving at the Eastern Sun Inn, Nagato and Iris were again startled by what happened in front of the Tiger Circle Arena.
Nagato's face was wrathful. "Litha?!" Nagato quickly took off Iris's hand and ran towards the crowd of dozens of men who were gnawing at the eight young girls.
