Nagato Kagutsuchi: The Dawn
The Dawn 10: Nekoya's
Hayabusa took Nagato, Kashima, Panda and Chibi to the coastal town which was part of the Typhon Kingdom. On the way they got to know each other, even Kashima was familiar with the Panda who was an Animal Man.
“The remote areas around the Kinai Empire are always beset with food shortages. We better avoid dealing with a country led by this foolish leader. You turned out to be smart enough as a road guide.” Kashima patted Hayabusa on the shoulder and laughed softly.
“I'm older than you, young girl. So the rumor about Emperor Kinai is real?” Hayabusa looked at Kashima who looked to hate the Kinai Empire.
“Entahlah. I myself have never seen it directly.” Kashima replied briefly.
After walking for a full day from the hiding place of the Demon Worshiping Sect, they finally reached the city. The place is too excessive called the city because there are only hundreds of houses that look so quiet.
Nagato was looking for a place for them to shelter. Seeing the actions of Nagato and Panda sitting in front of people's houses, Hayabusa and Kashima were surprised that they thought Nagato would stay at the inn. Instead, take shelter in front of people's homes.
“Nagato, shouldn't we stay or find a restaurant?” Hayabusa spoke up after leaning her back against the wall.
“I don't have money.” Answer Nagato briefly. Hearing that, Hayabusa laughed in disbelief. While Kashima was surprised to think Nagato was the perfect man, it turned out to be far from what he had expected.
Panda and Chibi observed the quiet surroundings. The atmosphere in the city they visited was very unnatural, making both of them feel that there was an awkwardness.
“But the city is very quiet. Where are the residents? Has this city been looted or.” Kashima watched closely before she chose to find out the truth.
“Nagato, I went for a while to observe the situation.” Kashima jumped onto the roof and moved quickly.
“Is that a Ninja?” Nagato raised his eyebrows.
“Since the Kinai Empire is overrun by foreigners, several ninja clans have been annihilated one after another. No one can resist absolute strength. I realized after seeing the power of that flying lizard.” Hayabusa laughed softly as she looked at Ignist and Raido's abilities.
Nagato simply closed his eyes and waited for Kashima's arrival. About thirty minutes after Kashima's departure, there was no sign of the girl returning. Before long a smoke appeared beside Nagato.
“Nagato! No time to explain, quickly follow me!” Kashima's face panicked and immediately ran leading Nagato to the beach.
Nagato immediately moved, as did Hayabusa and Panda.
“Nagato, I smell blood.” Chibi whispered in Nagato's ear.
Nagato looked at Chibi who was on his shoulder, then accelerated his footsteps following Kashima. Arriving at the beach, Nagato's eyes widened to see the population torturing the cat man who lay weakly helpless.
“Kill this demon!”
“He has stolen fish in my house!”
“Why are there creatures like this in this world!”
Instantly Nagato's face was so cold, then he released an aura of intimidation in large numbers. Residents who threw stones even whipped the cat man lying on the ground.
“For them, humans like us are terrible creatures. Step aside from before me, you all get in my way!” Nagato stared coldly at the residents who were still trying to throw rocks at the cat man.
Nagato's actions make Panda immediately run to save his tied up friend.
“Nekoya!” Pandas cry because they see the human body of a cat drenched in blood.
Nagato held the cat's human body and carried it, “Hayabusa, we go!” His eyes stared at the silent residents before throwing stones at him.
They ran towards the forest and away from the settlement before entering into a hut. Nagato laid down the human body of the cat, while Kashima provided the care he could.
Pandas cry and tell stories of human cruelty. Discrimination is the most common thing in the world. After finding his companion, Panda found Nekoya in a sad state.
“He only had bruises, but this is terrible. They're always just..” Kashima clenched her hands tightly.
“Kashima, why aren't you scared when you see me? Usually humans when they see our form, they will immediately look at us cynically. But when I look into your eyes, I think you have the same past as me.” Panda looked at Kashima who had just given Nekoya treatment.
“Panda, I also once felt how cruel discrimination.” Kashima answered briefly. But Panda knew it immediately, so he did not ask further.
Nagato rested in the hut while reading the notes and the location plan Grandma Beo gave him. Then he invited Hayabusa to go hunting after confirming the hiding place of the three Demon Worshipping Sects in Typhon Kingdom.
Nagato hunts for deer in the forest, while Hayabusa catches deer. The two cleaned the body of the animal they had just caught in the forest before taking it to the hut.
While sitting in a circle and making a fireplace, Nagato burned the venison and deer. While Panda looks worried about Nekoya's situation.
“Panda, I've brought bamboo in front.” Nagato said when he saw the face of Panda who was very worried about Nekoya.
“Thanks, Nagato.” Panda walks out of the hut with Chibi.
They enjoy grilled meat together while waiting for a human cat named Nekoya siuman. That night they spent the night in a hut in the middle of someone's field.
The next day Nekoya woke up. The first person to be seen by a cat was Nagato. Panda is still asleep with Chibi.
“Panda, your friend has woken up.” Hearing Nagato's words, Panda immediately opened his eyes and immediately approached Nekoya.
Panda explains to Nekoya that he was saved by Nagato and tells him what happened to him after they separated.
Nekoya has an adorable face and looks cute.
“Nekoya, introduce this is Nagato.” Panda introduces Nagato to Nekoya.
“People who use two swords as pillows are Hayabusa. And the one who treated you was Kashima. Oh right, Nagato's sleeping pet is Chibi.”
After Panda introduced her friend to Nekoya, tears poured down Nekoya's face.
“Thanks Naniki..” Nekoya hugged Nagato's body tightly. The regeneration ability of animal humans exceeds that of humans. The bruises slowly disappeared all over Nekoya's body.
‘Naniki? As expected, Nagato is an extraordinary person. He can accept both of us..’ The panda hugged Nekoya's body, but instead got a blow from the newly awakened cat man.
“You hurt me, Panda!” Nekoya held her shoulder.
“Nekoya, have you been able to walk?” Nagato asked as he was about to head to the hiding place of the Demon Worshiping Sect that was in Typhon Kingdom.
Nekoya moves his body gradually, “Already. Are you going to leave? Take me away with you, Naniki!”
Nagato raised his eyebrows, “Naniki? Besides you're a friend of Panda's, well I'll take you. From now on, everyone here is a friend. But before that, I want to explain something to you, Nekoya.”.
Nagato immediately awakened Hayabusa and Kashima to explain their plans.
