Promises

"Darling!" greeting Rizal, Kiara looked up at the face of Rizal her husband. Rizal was seen coming into the room. It just so happened that Kiara was reading the book as usual. Kiara sat on the sofa, Rizal saw Kiara was pensive. Although Rizal greeted Kiara slowly. Kiara was surprised to see Rizal coming.

"Sister Rizal, when is it coming? Sorry Kiara didn't notice your arrival. I am so excited to read a book. Until I don't know you're coming!" kiara said softly, Rizal shook his head while smiling. He laid his body on the sofa. Rizal sleeps in Kiara's lap. Kiara gently stroked Rizal's jet black hair.

Instead Rizal looked up, staring at Kiara's face from below. Clearly Rizal saw the fine strokes on Kiara's face. Something that makes Kiara look beautiful and perfect as a woman. The beauty that Rizal realized after the wedding. Because Rizal's marriage actually started from his admiration for Kiara's life principles.

If Rizal had come with a voice. He would never see Kiara's worries. Something that was stored tightly in each of Kiara's smiles. Putting it right on his chest, Kiara was surprised to hear Rizal's words. He did not expect that Rizal was aware of the anxiety in his heart.

"I'm reading a book. Who said I had a lot of thoughts? Rizal's brother is joking. I'm fine!" kiara tried to cover up. Rizal shook his head and closed both of his eyes. He heard Kiara's breath hunting. Rizal could see clearly Kiara's uneasiness.

"Honey, lying to your husband is a sin. Don't forget, it's not just our bodies. But our heart and soul have become one after marriage. Tell me all your anxiety. As bitter as it is or as complicated as any of those problems. We'll be together to find a way out!" rizal said, Kiara looked down weakly. Kiara accidentally made a mistake by lying to her husband Rizal. Kiara regrets hurting her husband.

"Sister Rizal, I was thinking about what Umi said last night. He called me and asked me to tell you. Umi blames me because we never visited the pesantren. I was disappointed when I heard Umi's words. Didn't I ask Rizal's brother from the beginning to go back to the boarding school. I'm afraid Umi hates me and thinks I want to keep you away from them. I never thought I'd be a bad son-in-law!" said Kiara Lirih, suddenly Rizal woke up from his sleep. He sat right next to Kiara. With a smile Rizal clasped Kiara's hand. Umi Rizal never wanted to see her leave the pesantren. Kiara eventually shut up and decided to stay with Rafa and Hana. Rizal does not want to go back to the pesantren. Not to be devoted to his parents. But Rizal does not want to make Kiara hurt. Rizal fears Umi's search for Kiara's fault that eventually makes her marriage end.

"Honey, I've decided to get out of the boarding school. My decision is backed by Abi and it's not because of you. Umi's too obsessed with me. He wants to see me marry big kyai's daughter. Umi wants me to lead a family-owned pesantren. Not that I don't want to be filial. I work completely for my family. All my efforts I give for the development of pesantren. There will be no woman who can replace you. Be patient to accept the hatred of the earth for our love. The time comes when Umi will understand his obsession is wrong. Abi never intended to hand over the pesantren to me. Abi doesn't want to see me dazed. Mila's marriage will be the answer to all your anxiety!" said Rizal, then kissed Kiara's forehead. Rizal feels Kiara's uneasiness, becoming a daughter-in-law who is always to blame.

"I kept you away from the pesantren!" kiara said softly, Rizal shook his head weakly. He scratched Kiara's face. Both of her eyeballs looked at Kiara's face fixedly. Both hands cupped Kiara's gimbul cheeks.

"Kiara Putri Prawira, you didn't keep me away from the pesantren. But knowing you brings me close to the perfection of faith. The love I feel for you makes me a grateful human being. For our meeting and this love became the most beautiful and best gift of my life. I believe that Allah SWT always gives the best for His servants who believe, not what we expect. Something we hope for is not necessarily the best for us. Never doubt the written destiny. There will be wisdom in every written way. I need the steadfastness of our love and rest assured everything will be fine. The road will have pebbles piercing the soles of the feet. Likewise, our marriage, no matter how happy our marriage will still have tears that shed. Every time we want something, we have to be ready to sacrifice. Including our love and happiness that must be patient to face the obsession of Umi.
