BLOODY LOVE'S

BLOODY LOVE'S
Episode 120's

Actually the season for socializing is over, so the party hosted by Sir William seems strange.

In the spring it was customary for the nobles to go to the capital and socialize. Usually the social season lasts from April to September. The parties will be held. Debutante was also held in that season. The social season is over. And Bjork is not the capital either. Actually it's okay to have a dance, it's just that this is out of the ordinary.

Even so, all the nobles in Bjork still came. They were curious about the man who had recently become the talk at the tea show. They were also curious about a guest who was rumored to be coming: Jose Argent.

The Argent family was an old noble family that was quite close to the kingdom. Rumor has it that Marco Argent was friends with the Queen in the past. In modern times, the Argent family's children have been scattered throughout the country and even abroad, all married except one person. The only single young man left was Jose, but the man rarely came to social parties. Jose also never came to the Discussion Building which was used as a venue for elite association. Everyone understood him knowing that despite always calling themselves ordinary merchants, the Argent Family dealt with the dirty stuff in the back world. The underground world. Mating may not be a priority for an Argent.

The news that Jose who is apathetic to the association in the future now often appears to the party makes everyone curious. They wanted to see how the man's face was clearer, talk to him, and if they could get close to him. They were also curious as to what reason the man had finally appeared.

Jose felt a lot of eyes rain down on him as soon as his name and Maria's name were announced when it came. Sir William welcomes them—welcomes Maria, to be exact. To Jose, Sir William simply gave a standard greeting.

Maria and Jose separate to get together with each other's friends. Some people stop them and introduce themselves or say hello. Maria liked all the attention she was lavishing on her, so she served one by one lightly as she walked over to the group of women waiting for her.

Jose contrary. He did not like to be pushed around too much and heard endless talking people.

"Joey," said Guy Eastwood as he approached. He spoke in a pretentious style as if they were old friends. "At all time do not meet—“

Jose smiled politely. "It's been a long time, Baron Eastwood. I've never remembered meeting you and you until I forgot what my name was."

He passes Guy Eastwood who is still gawking, only to be confronted by a small, teary-eyed short man who greets him nervously. "Hi, Lord Argent. Me ... Ellington. You may not know me—"

Jose shook his hand steadily. "Good night, Mr. Arnold Ellington. Of course I know you. I read your opinion in the paper every morning. The anecdotes you use are always interesting."

As Arnold Ellington smiled brightly and his face flushed, Jose took off their hands then added in a cold and distant voice, "Lord Argent is still my uncle, Marco Argent. You can call me Mr. Jose Argent. Please be more careful in the future. As you said in today's edition: times may have changed more modern. Cars and phones were invented, but Bjork is still so old-fashioned—especially in terms of being hierarchical but not as useful as the title problem. But if this is ignored, one must be prepared for social exclusion."

Leaving Ellington half in awe and half in shame, Jose runs into Xavier Hastings, a cousin of Charles Hastings who was on his list of suspicions in the case of Marco's disappearance.

"At last the youngest Argent came out of his nest," said the man in a cold and haughty voice. "Did he finally feel we who these commoners deserve to meet him?"

Jose smiled sweetly. He stared at Xavier's haggard eyes, then his gaze moved to the cognac in the man's hands. "Xavier, I'm not suggesting you drink any more in the future. If you're drunk like this, you sound very civilized."

"Who gave you permission to call me by my first name?" sizzle Xavier carefully as many people look at them.

Jose's expression did not change as he replied in a soft tone, "Who gave you permission to talk to an Argent?"

With his first name in mind, Xavier criticized Jose's non-ethical manners of Bjork in which it was impolite to say someone's first name if they were not close or not given special permission. But Jose responded by reminding him who Xavier was talking to. The status attached to their names was different and the Argent name was clearly higher.

Jose didn't waste any longer. He passed by Xavier and ignored some insignificant people greeting him, then approached his comrades who were gathered waiting.

Ignoring others was not Jose's custom, but he knew there would be no end if he responded one by one to the people calling him. To serve the guests is Sir William's work, not his. If the one attending the party was Marco Argent, the man couldn't even look at Ellington. Jose shook the man's hand purely because he liked his opinion that was sometimes published in newspapers.

Adrian Marsh is young. He's 20 years old. But he has a lot of horse races and gambling establishments, which automatically means he is the leader of the thugs and the bouncer. Lucas Clearwater is a quiet 27-year-old man, but his sharp eyes seem to announce that he once killed 3 people at a dance party just because he didn't like the way they greeted him. Simon Rutlan was probably the most normal of the four of them. His age is with Jose. He was a lawyer, and never lost in court.

"The celebrity that attracted the beggars" Clearwater continued coldly.

Jose knew the man was just joking. He hugged her hard. "Don't be so humble, in my eyes you're not a beggar."

Marsh chuckles. "If I had only half of your tongue-lightening ability, Jose! I definitely won't lose at the Discussion Hall!"

"You still like to argue there?" Jose asked. A waiter with a tray of wine glasses approached them. Jose took one glass. "I used to think you were a man who relied more on muscles than brains."

Adrian Marsh chuckled again, taking that as a compliment.

"And stop calling me a celebrity," Jose continued with an amused grin. "Shameful."

"Should I call what else such a person who came directly overrun left and right?" Simon mellowing. "I'm surprised you know and memorize the names of everyone who comes to you. Thankfully you are the fourth child. Can you imagine what would happen if you were the first kid?"

"I won't make it here" Jose admitted. He had always made his status which was the fourth child as a joke among his friends. "If they wanted the first child, they should have come to our house. Jacob is home."

Clearwater nodded slowly, already hearing the news. "Why," he asked, "have you decided to come to this party? It's out of your way."

Jose turned his head over his shoulder, looking at Sir William who was welcoming guests. "Because I want to" he answered.

The three friends were just staring at each other, no one responded to that. Jose never wanted to attend a party. If the man says he wants to be at the party, the conclusion is only one: there is something else he is after.

"Does the wall here hear?" simon asked, looking around. The point is whether they'll be safe talking about sensitive matters in that place.

Clearwater took a sip of wine in his glass. He spoke without moving his lips, "Some servants watch us periodically. I don't know if they're researching our glasses and preparing to replace an empty drink or Rutlan's right: the walls here can hear."

Marsh grunting. His head was turned on Jose. "I know you're here for another reason. Everyone can guess it. You need our help ... Joey?" He mimics Guy Eastwood's way of speaking, which makes all four laugh.

Jose's name is actually pronounced Hose, but Guy Eastwood who never met Jose and only saw a glimpse of the name through the writing (maybe on the guest list) spell it with the letter J.

"No, not yet." Jose shakes. "Do you know how things are progressing about Dave?"

Clearwater close lips. He shifted closer to Jose, took a sip of wine in his glass, then used the opportunity to talk without moving his lips. "You're not gonna believe this, Argent. I saw it."
