BLOODY LOVE'S

BLOODY LOVE'S
Episode 138's

When Jose got to the police station, all he could see was a messy room as if there had just been an earthquake. An officer met him and politely escorted him into Inspector Robert's office. Gordon himself was immediately pulled by his friend.

Gerald and Hans stuck close to Jose, not wanting to lose their only leader in Bjork at the moment. Not everyone is respectful of them. The name Argent is often associated with crime and bribery. A policeman throws spit out the window as they pass by as a sign to throw bad luck.

Hans had already clenched his hand about to give the man a lesson, but Gerald glanced at Hans with a warning. There will be no end if they have to teach everyone in Bjork one by one about politeness.

They stepped into the room whose windows were directly adjacent to the street. The walls of the room are filled with charters, photos, and clipping displays about the achievements of Bjork Police. Jose is welcome to sit in front of Robert's desk, in the soft, luxurious guest chair. Gerald and Hans stood guard at the doorway, fearing the officer who came to bring tea.

Robert was a man far from attractive this morning. A three-day-old beard adorns the jaws of his square. The man's cheeks were bruised black and one of his eyes was red, slightly squinting and watery, like he had just been hit. The man's neck was sweaty, and dirty dusty. Robert wore a huge coat that covered his entire body as if he was about to go outside.

Jose reached out to shake, and Robert retorted accordingly. His hand was too weak.

It was not just Jose who was observing. Robert was busy assessing Argent's fourth son who was rumored to be a replacement for Marco.

Jose Argent whom he knew was a violent young man who made a scene in the Discussion Building when he was sixteen years old, making the entire Discussion Building run amok and chasing after him for beating down five people who insulted him in the debate. Then the young man fled the chase by jumping onto the roof of the town hall, telling anyone who could prove he did anything wrong to catch up with him. No one can support. No one even knows how Jose got up there. The teenager went down at night, after Marco came to disperse a crowd of— - half of which consisted of hired thugs five nobles who were beaten down by Jose.

A week ago, the Jose Robert knew looked no different than Jose did when he was sixteen: ignorant, ruthless, at will, relaxed, and a little emotional like a normal young man.

But what was in front of Robert now was a different figure. In front of him, sitting in a domineering body style, a cold-faced young man was watching around with a probing look. It was as if someone had already killed the teenage side in Jose and replaced it with a more savage, more ruthless version.

"When did we last meet, Jose?" Robert forced a fatherly smile. "I heard Edgar left for Aston last night?"

Jose returned that smile. "Just four or five days ago we met, Inspector. When in South Bjork. I saw you with Uncle Marco back then."

Robert nodded slowly. He felt that day had passed for a very long time, as it had been years ago.

"You certainly remember the girl who was with me, her name was Nolan. Her hair was blonde, her eyes were blue, about a hundred and fifty inches tall." Jose raised his hand up to make a standard measure.

Robert squinted his eyes. "Come on, Jose," he said. "There are many people coming and going, many faces I see. And all I know is that you're with Garnet's daughter more often."

"This is strange," Jose leaned forward. He looked out the window, watching the street from where he was sitting. "Sergeant Gordon reported to me that you're keeping him here. I came as his guarantor. Whatever he has done, I am willing to take full responsibility for the losses. I'll even replace him double that's if he incurs a loss."

Robert snorted at the money involved. He looked down on that tactic. "There's no such person here. You must have heard wrong!"

"The girl was wearing Argent's coat" Jose said slowly. He again leaned back, uniting the tips of his fingers like a pyramid. "The coat has the emblem Argent, which means he's in the protection of our family. You know what that means, don't you, Inspector?"

Robert glares. "Whatchu mean? You threatening me?"

"There is none! Don't think me stupid! Everyone knows what you mean and where your tendencies are from the way you talk!" Robert got up to his feet, making Hans and Gerald reflexively approach in anger.

Jose held up one hand, preventing the two workers from getting closer. He was still sitting cross-legged in front of Robert's desk. "Sit, Inspector. I'm sorry if it offended you, sit down."

Despite speaking politely and gently, there was something sharply pierced from the way Jose spoke, which made Robert feel he had no choice but to return to his seat.

Robert glanced behind Jose. Despite being guarded by Gerald and Hans, the office door was wide open and everyone could hear what was happening inside the room. Robert played the same defensive tactics he had when he met Rolan. In principle, when talking to Argent and his cronies, never close the door.

"I only came because I was asked by Sergeant Gordon, who seemed to be worried that they were really caught wrong," Jose continued, not considering the open door as an obstacle. He knows Robert's tactics. Even though the inspector was screaming and screaming until his voice was heard all over Bjork, it would not change Jose's intentions. The great obstacle for a person to become a leader in the place where the person was raised is only one: the people around him were used to seeing him grow up in the worst and weakest conditions to the point of feeling that there was no distance between them. Jose knows Robert still thinks he's a pretentious little boy who likes to play on the rooftops. "Sergeant Gordon calls him a tramp, but from his character, it seems like the person you arrested is indeed my best friend. His name is Nolan."

Robert looked behind Jose, past the two rogue-faced workers who were ready to swallow him alive.

"Call Gordon!" exclaim Robert loudly.

The summoned one is coming soon. His expression was stiff, but the tremors at his fingertips as well as the tremors in his voice showed how nervous the man was. Gordon saluted Robert, then saluted Jose.

Jose gave a small nod in return, arrogantly staying seated in his place.

"Gordon" said Robert in his heavy voice. He's cleared his throat. "Sir Argent here said you came to his house, reported that his best friend was here?"

"No, Sir!" Gordon exclaimed in order to overcome his fear. "I said: there's a homeless man claiming to be Mr. Argent's friend!"

"And what's the name of that tramp Nolan?"

"No, Sir! I didn't hear the name of the bum, but I'm sure it wasn't Nolan! I also said it to Mr. Argent!"

Jose nodded slowly because that was what Gordon said when he met him. "When I mention my friend's character, you agree. Isn't that right, Sergeant?"

Gordon glanced at Jose at a glance, then immediately threw his gaze at the wall. "I don't remember, Sir. Morning ... morning was so cold, I think .. I was so raving. I am ready to accept the punishment!"

Robert raised both his eyebrows high. "You hear that? I'm sorry I made you come all the way here for free, this is indeed my man's fault. I'll punish him myself later."

Jose took a deep breath, staring at his two hands that were clinging to his lap while weighing his next move.
