Jose is not interested in the rumors that circulate every tea event, but that does not make him completely blind to the conditions and situations that occur in Bjork lately. As far as Dave is concerned, the most frantic and annoying person is Lidya.
Granted, it's understandable because Lidya is Dave's longest-serving girlfriend, but Jose knows that the girl is overreacting. Lidya should take care of herself with a break, instead of coming from one house to another to tell her the latest information she got from polis—which actually doesn't exist. The police still haven't managed to trace where Dave went. Just like the people who disappeared before, there was no sign of Dave.
Jose feels more guilty than Lidya. More than anyone else, he was the one who most wished for his friend to return safely. He really hoped that Dave would just leave as usual, then come back a few days later laughing and saying that everyone was overreacting. Jose hoped so.
“Jose!” a sweet high voice teased the man from the daydream.
Jose raised the face of the magazine in his hand, finding Maria coming with three other women. The other two were employees of the store, while the other one was ....
“Nolan?” Jose was surprised. The girl did not look at all like the Nolan she knew.
Her short hair was curly blonde combed neatly, looking brilliantly hit by the lights of the room, whether what kind of shampoo they wear. The dress she wore was white without arms with a sweet pattern motif. Black-robed flat shoes are worn on both feet. The girl's face was clean and sweet because of the makeup. Even Nolan's fingernails look glowing. Only the girl's face looked grim, in contrast to her brilliant clear blue eyes.
“The wear is very thin, I can catch a cold!” murmured Nolan, a protest implying defeat. Jose could see that even the wild girl had also lost in the face of Maria's coercion.
Maria has also changed into a more beautiful outfit. Sweet, but not fancy or excessive. That is the style taught to the Garnet family. No excess jewelry, just a bluish-green pendant necklace that Jose gave as a Maria's birthday present this year.
Maria had dressed Nolan to work on him, and because she was really curious about what the child would be like after it was clean. If it turns out that Nolan is as ugly and dirty as before, Maria will really ’slaughter the ‘boy to stay away from Jose—no matter if the man will be angry. Jose was never angry with her.
But what happened was the opposite. Nolan has become so beautiful. And while talking to him, he realizes that Nolan is not a dumb girl. The girl knew how to logic and her sentences were wordy, very well-ordered for a rascal. If the language she spoke was not rude and she was more calm, Nolan would look like a respectable girl.
Mary restrained herself so as to remain calm and not to appear sullen. He looked at Jose's smile now. He was not happy to see the familiarity of the conversation of the two people in front of him.
There's something weird. He did not understand why in his heart there was such a mounting annoyance. Of jealousy? No, it's not that. Maria is not jealous. He was just upset because Jose was familiar with people who did not know custom. This is a natural concern for his best friend.
While Maria was reassuring herself, Nolan was really clumsy as she walked. She could feel the breeze stroking her thighs, because the dress was only up to the knee. The one she wore was a modeled dress with no sleeves, the fabric was made of a light and soft material, making her feel embarrassed.
He felt silly and was ready to run home when Jose laughed, but the man greeted him with a friendly smile.
“You look different,” says Jose.
“Of course!” sahut Nolan ketus as an initial defense fortress. “If you can't tell the difference between pants and skirts, I think something's wrong with your eyes!”
“No, I mean, you look beautiful. Usually it is cool, but your current appearance can definitely fool dozens of eyes.”
“Jose, you sound like a striped man,” Maria commented from the side.
Nolan turned his gaze to the large mirror provided on each pillar of the shop. There's a shadow of him there. It was no longer the figure of the convex girl he saw on the ice cream box, but someone else. His body was thin, but his skin was clean. Her hair was combed in style.
Both of his cheeks looked blushing in the mirror. Nolan was astonished to see his own shadow. It's like it's not him. But Nolan liked this one enough. At least Jose praised him.
He did not know why Jose's expression and impression affected his mood. Nolan felt embarrassed realizing that and immediately erased his feelings quickly. On the left, Mary looked at him strangely.

“You sure you don't want to stop by all of you?” jose asked before Maria got into her pickup car.
The girl gave a sweet snort before shaking her head. “My parents called one more guy to rate,” he said as he glanced. “They are still trying to get me married, this fuss is about age. I want to see which clown I have to turn down.”
Reason. It was true, his parents received another man who wanted to propose as a guest, but the man came later in the afternoon. Mary doesn't have to go home now. But he deliberately avoided. It was enough for him to see Jose with Nolan. If it were any longer, Mary did not know what she would think or say. To him, dressing Nolan alone was already strange enough. Maria did not feel like her usual self. He decided to go home and calm down.
“Again, I still have class later,” continued Maria as she approached, peeping Jose's left cheek as a greeting. Then he got into the car and drove away, ignoring the astonished face of the man.
“Did you guys always do that?” Nolan asked.
“What's it like?” jose replied, still astonished by Maria's puzzling behavior. But the girl was never easy to understand, so she did not think about the meaning of the kiss just now too deeply. He turned his head, found Nolan looking straight at him, and realized what the boy meant. “No. She was always so to her female friends, but usually not to me.”
“She intentionally,” murmured Nolan was upset.
“What?”
“No. Its alright. So, you want to let me be like a comedian in this outfit or what?”
Jose smiled amusedly. “You're not like a comedian, just calm down.”
“I feel funny.”
“Not funny, really. You look different, but not funny. Interesting, I guess.”
Nolan accepted the compliment with a soaring heart, though insisted on putting up the face of the plate.
