Jose borrows Garnet's Tin Lizzie and drives himself with the intention of taking Maria outside Bjork. There are a lot of things they have to talk about, but the two agree to try to get out of Bjork first. Susan begged to be allowed to come, but Mary forbade. He really didn't want to involve anyone before things became clear to him.
No one had spoken since they boarded the car, until Jose broke the silence.
"We're like walking on a mobius ribbon" he said.
"You mean?" Mary raised her face from both hands on her lap. He's right next to the wheel, right next to Jose.
"I mean, we're spinning back to where we were. I just circled the Barn Bend, we should be heading down the road that opens to the dock for storage at the port." Jose turned the wheel. His astonished face was amusedly mixed as their car walked sluggishly into the stone-paving streets. "seen? Back to Bjork main road. Why do you think this is?"
"Again" pinta Maria. "Try another way."
Jose tried several routes out of Bjork, but the results remained the same. They always return to the main road of Bjork.
"Yesterday my father could leave Bjork. Jacob also just left Bjork." Jose gripped the steering wheel tightly. "Why can't we?"
Maria was quiet for a long time. His head was still filled with a lost hum. "Maybe you can" he said weakly. "Maybe I can't. Want to check how about you go alone?"
Jose would not. He probably left the girl alone. He turned the wheel towards the road that passed through the Tax Office, directing them to the southern part of Bjork.
"Where are we going?" ask Maria beware. The path they passed through clashed and finally changed from stone paving to a hard expanse of land. They had already entered into a deserted place that became the territory of the Tax Office. The gurgling sound of the river splitting Bjork even sounded quite clear. "Jose?"
Jose parked the car next to the bridge. The bridge was made of logs tied to a rope. If he insisted on passing by car, they would only slip or the bridge would collapse. So he jumped out of the car and opened the door for Maria. "I want to try something" he said.
The girl did not come down. He refused to even look at Jose's hand. "Tell me first what you want to try!"
"This forest is sacred" said Jose. He was once mired in a fall in front of the bridge so chasing Sir William when all these mysteries first approached him. The hole could not be found any more traces later. He still remembered that when he was mired, he also heard a strange laughter and was covered in fog: the thing he now knew as a sign of the appearance of a golem. Thanks to being mired in the hole, he did not meet the creature.
Jose didn't understand what was going on. But after a journey into the world of death and after meeting a mushroom giant who somehow embodied his ancestors, Jose begins to think of one possibility: what if this mountain helps him? What if the hole was made by his ancestors? He also remembers how the ghost of Gladys appeared here.
"Old religion we purify this mountain," continued Jose quietly, stretching out his arms. "Our old gods are here, forgotten behind the slum housing. I want us to try betting here."
Maria frowned. "I don't understand," he said, looking back and forth at Jose and the lush greenery in front of them.
"I haven't told you that Uncle Marco is missing, have I?" ask Jose. He still held out his hand in front of Mary. "Well, he's home now. But I will tell you what happened, what I knew all along, and who Sir William was. And I think the forest in the South is a much safer place than any house in North Bjork."
Jose wasn't joking, Maria could see that from the look in his eyes. Finally he nodded slowly and welcomed the man's hand. They crossed the bridge hand in hand.

The other three men in the library threw each other a silent glance, exchanging codes.
"The thing that scares me is, once I find out that she ..." Dave was quiet for a moment. His trembling fingers raised the glass, chugging the remaining whiskey. Rolan deftly filled up his empty glass again, and Dave thanked him softly. "I have an appointment with Jose" he continued. "Then when I was about to leave the house .. I went back to my room. Every time I open the door, I go back into the room. Feels terrible. I shouted for the waiter but no one came. Then the devil came. Sir William."
Silence in the library. Marco had just swallowed a painkiller and was now able to focus entirely on the problem. Mr. Stuart is right next to him. The man's attention is divided between Dave's story and Marco's condition.
"The form of man .. and he is very .. very polite," Dave said softly, as if afraid that someone else would hear it. "But I know he's a demon. Something in me recognizes it, maybe my worst side? Perhaps my sins recognize its creator? Difficult to understand. He made me so scared that I got down on my knees begging for mercy. Wearing once .. but I really want to live." He nodded slowly and smiled bitterly. "He said warnings. He was angry .. but then stopped and disappeared. The whole night I was scared, until then I realized what made him go."
"What?" Rolan interested.
"Flower," said Dave calmly. "That day was the anniversary of my grandmother's death, Doctor. His favorite flowers are dandelion and lavender—, two types of flowers whose aroma is believed to repel demons. But I'm still scared. I locked myself in my room, didn't eat, didn't drink, was afraid to open the door, I was even afraid to call or take calls from anyone. My family was so embarrassed by my circumstances, they thought I was going crazy, so they hid this fact. In general they say I'm lost to the mystery of Bjork. They even threatened to make my funeral if I didn't recover soon. Funny right."
Mr. Stuart doesn't understand. "And Mr Philips Raynor? Didn't she disappear the same day you went missing?"
"Ah, my friend?" Dave smiled a little. "He helped me recover. As soon as I could not be contacted, he acted alone by eliminating himself. He was very sensitive, he suspected we were in danger. The principle is: before being eliminated by others, he will eliminate himself. But he did not die, instead he did find out many things about Sir William from hiding. When I recovered and dared to pick up the phone, the connection from him was the first to connect. We communicated, and I followed in his footsteps to pretend to be lost. That way, I hope I can buy some time."
Marco smiled slightly and nodded, acknowledging Dave's capabilities as a Lord. "And what made you decide to come out of that hideout?"
"I've come to some conclusions, my lord," Dave mendehem. "One, he's not God. In a sense, he could not be in two or more places at the same time. So when I know exactly where he is, I really don't have to worry that he'll catch me. Two, Sir William does not know. He didn't know Phill was involved and was alive. He doesn't know I'm still finding out about him secretly. He may have senses that are more sensitive than humans, much more sensitive. But just as we omit many things beyond the focus of our attention, so does he. As long as we don't get his attention, more or less we're safe."
"That's amazing" praised Mr. Stuart. "This is very useful information."
"That's earned by a life bet" Marco agreed. He looked at Rolan. "Retail the purchase of lavender and dandelion in large quantities. Fill Bjork with the flower. Even if it doesn't prevent Sir William, at least the city will smell."
Rolan nodded briefly. He looked at Dave with a probing look. "And what are you doing in the Bjork forest?"
"Ah, right. We're back to that discussion." Dave nodded slowly, sipping back his whiskey. "We know that the old gods dwell there, along with our ancestors. When I heard the news that Marquis Argent was missing, I was desperate. To be honest, somehow you're the only one who thinks in my head that can wipe out that monster."
Marco smiled. "And I will."
"Yes, I'm sure of it," Dave said gratefully. "But when I heard the news, I was really upset. Then I thought, those two flowers that kept the devil away, aren't they flowers in our old religious myths? What about the other myth, what about the mountain itself? So I bet on that conjecture and ran into the forest to pray and save myself. Not long ago, there I saw another, more bizarre creature." He shuddered.
Rolan frowned. "What do you see? A golem?"
"Gollem?" Dave asked in surprise, not knowing about the golem. "I saw a strange creature .. that sniffed and crept with an odd. I was scared and ran away, fell asleep and fainted. When I woke up and started walking, it was dark. Very dark. Then Jose showed up." He laughed softly. "He had two daggers with him and looked like he was ready to kill me, I thought I was dreaming." He blinked, preventing his tears from falling. "I thought I was just a dream."
