Renata is not having fun at the Bjork festival as she is preparing to pick up Jacob. Edgar himself had been ready for a long time. He had just come out of his study when he met George in the corridor.
"Where is Doctor Rolan?" tanyakanya. "I haven't seen him since this afternoon.
George stopped and replied politely, "At Higgins' cottage, sir. With Gerald and Hans. Is there a problem?"
Edgar nodded. He still shuddered to hear Higgins' cottage called. But if Rolan is with Gerald and Hans, it means the three are taking care of important things. Possibly related to the mystery of the dried corpse in Bjork.
Edgar raised his hand, staring at the circular watch there. "I understand that they must be doing something important, but soon dinner. Renata wouldn't like it if the dining table was quiet. If by dinner Doctor Rolan doesn't show up, you can break down the cabin door and drag him to the table."
"I'll remember it, sir" said George solemnly.
Exactly an hour before dinner, Rolan had yet to show up, so George decided to take a look. Just in case, he also brought two servants with him.
The distance between the Higgins cottage and the main house is quite close, just a five-minute walk. George saw the doors and windows of the cottage tightly shut. No light came out from the cracks of the cottage.
The condition reminds George of Marco's tightly shut workroom door, where Gerald and Hans lie unconscious with Mr. Wallace's body. Uncomfortable feeling got into it. He approached, knocking on the door politely.
George waited for a while, but there was no answer. He knocked again, this time harder. "Doctor?" he said, "Is there a problem?"
George is waiting again. He stuck his ear to the door, trying to listen, but there was no sound.
"There may be a problem" murmured Harold, one of the errands George had brought. Beside him, Finnian had already picked up an axe.
"We'd better break down the door" George made the decision, having received no reply for the third time. He frowned looking at the axe in Finnian's hand. "If you can, save your ax for later, Finnian."
Finnian grimaces silly, drops his axe to safety, then makes a fuss to break down the door with Harold.
Harold gave a cue, and the two advanced together, crashing into the door with their shoulders. The door was just slowly crackling, yet it had not opened. The two men took another five steps back to take a swing. Harold gave back the aba, and they lunged. The door hinges rang, the door leaves rattled, but the Higgins hut was still sturdy.
Finnian chuckled awkwardly, but Harold swore. No one thought the door was that strong.
In the third experiment, the results were visible. That door was knocked down. Before the door fell to the ground, Harold and Finnian swiftly caught the wood. Carefully, the two tilted the door leaf and took it out of the hut. That thing they laid carefully on the wall of the cottage outside.
George nodded his head in agreement to see her. It would be dangerous if it turns out that behind the door there are fragile objects or there are humans. Both Finnian and Harold have proven that they were trained to be Argent's servants.
Inside the dark cottage. George stepped in first. The oil lamp he carried illuminated the contents of the hut, casting a long shadow that fell on the three bodies on the floor.
Gerald, Hans, and Rolan were lying on the floor, by the side of the table. They lie with their eyes open, but do not appear conscious. Gerald and Hans held each other's hands, while Rolan was in their midst, hugging the bag. There's a voice recorder falling apart on the floor. The voice-capturing funnel was destroyed. Rolan's glasses also broke.
"For the sake of the living God!" george was shocked. He moved closer quickly, but cautiously. The oil lamp was placed on a table in the middle of the room. Finnian and Harold rushed in, both gasping at the condition of the three people in the room.
The first thing George did was check if all three were still alive. He examined their breaths and pulse, then heaved a sigh of relief when he found everything was still alive. Probably just surprised.
Finnian and Harold soon obeyed without much question, even though the two were very curious about what was really going on in the cabin.
George watched everything very closely, not wanting the slightest help. He even carefully examined the condition of the Higgins hut, and carefully observed the position of Hans and Gerald's beds.

Both Rolan, Hans, as well as Gerald were placed in different rooms. Rolan was in his own room while Hans and Gerald were in the guest room. George deliberately did not order Hans and Gerald to be laid in the maid's room so as not to cause gossip. He asked the waiter to pour the oil on the palms and feet of the three men.
Gerald was first sober, followed by Rolan and Hans.
"Where am I?" Rolan glares. He looked around the room, then realized he was hugging his briefcase. "Glass my eyes?"
"Break, Doctor. I'm sorry."
"Hans and Gerald?"
George offers a glass of brandy to warm up the body, and Rolan accepts.
"The doctor is in the main house now, in the doctor's room. Hans and Gerald in the guest room. We found the Doctor with them at Higgins' cottage."
Rolan nodded slowly. He shuddered. "I remember. What time is it?"
"There's not seven yet, Doctor."
"Take me to the guest room. Hans and Gerald are sober?"
George was polite. "Already, Doctor. Both of them were still a little confused when I left them. But both are conscious."
Rolan immediately slumped down from the bed. His entire body was still flooded with horror, but the brandy he drank just now managed to warm up and give him courage, making him able to think more clearly. "You're the one who took us?"
George walked slightly behind Rolan, following him to the guest room. "Mr Edgar advised, if Dr. Rolan does not appear at dinnertime, I must break down the cottage and get the Doctor out of there. Whatever happens."
"Wow," murmured Rolan. "How does he know what's going to happen? I mean, if the message came from Marco, it'd make more sense."
"Actually, Mr. Edgar is not serious about breaking down," George chuckled. "It's just a joke, sir. But you are serious about finding a Doctor if the Doctor doesn't show up at dinner. Now, Mr and Mrs are out to pick up Young Master Jacob. They definitely want the Doctor to be home when the Young Master comes home."
Rolan rubbed his matted brown hair. He laughed softly. "I was saved by chance?"
"Fate, Doctor, he said there's been a line" George said. Now they were at the door of the guest room, where Hans and Gerald were.
"If we are saved, it is not by fate or fate" Rolan said. He turned the door handle. "But because of the talisman depicted on the bodies of these two people!"
