BLOODY LOVE'S

BLOODY LOVE'S
Chapter 23

“Why not tell me from the beginning?” Marco menukas sharp.

“Why not tell me anything about Mom?” Now it was Renata who was demanding with a vexed look. “The state of the city is not safe and you walk alone nights to the slums! How horrible! Good thing Marco asked the patrol police to pick you up!”

Jose took a quick glance at his uncle who was upholding his body with a proud attitude. That pisses him off a little. “Bu, nothing happened. There really is nothing. Why would I tell you that if it would only make you anxious?”

“You should keep telling stories! Whatever is going on!” Renata still insisted.

Edgar raised his hand, stopping the melancholic cry that his wife was still about to call. He looked at his youngest son and said, “This matter we will discuss later, try to tell me what you saw from the Higgins cottage?”

His wife did not agree. The topic about her son was much more interesting to Renata, but the men did prefer to talk about mysteries. So, he simply put his hands together on his lap, trying to maintain the calmness of his face while following the conversation of the three people in the room.

“I saw the time the moon is not cloud covered,” Jose started. “I saw his figure from the window, he was still doing the same thing I saw in Higgins' cottage. He sniffed up and down, also to the side. His hands moved like fumbling, and his shoulders bent forward. She's tall, but ... her body is weird.”

“Leaki or female?” Marco asked the first question. There were actually many other more important things that he proposed, but first the identity of the intruder had to be ascertained first.

Unfortunately, Jose did not give a satisfactory answer. The young man shook his head slowly and said, “Don't know, Uncle. Less clearly, I forgot to bring my binoculars.” Jose was silent for a while, trying to reassemble his memories while he was in Higgins' cabin. All he got was a chill running down his back mercilessly. He shivered slowly.

For the next half hour, the four people in the room only discussed the physical appearance of the intruder that Jose saw. Surprisingly, no one wants to discuss the status of the intruder whether human or not. Jose himself did not want to propose the choice because he was afraid of his own answers to come. Night always brings its own horror to every human being.

The door was knocked again from the outside and Nolan was ushered into the room by George. Nolan still looks the same as the last time Jose saw her: cute, chubby, doesn't look like a girl.

Her blond hair was cut as short as a boy, her appearance also impressed similar things. The boy only wears shabby brown cloth pants and a jacket-coated shirt of faded denim material. His height did not reach Jose's shoulder, but Nolan lifted his chin higher than anyone in the room. His glittering blue eyes were furiously fixed on Marco.

Renata ignored the appearance. The fact that the child was a girl who had just received rough treatment was enough to knock her motherly heart out. He asked in a soft voice, “Your name is Nolan?”

“Ya,” replied the girl short and firm. His eyes looked around suspiciously. His cheeks and lips still felt numb from the punch in the warehouse. He is sure that tomorrow his face will definitely be swollen and blue. And all these things he blamed on Jose.

“Sit here, we want to hear your story,” Renata patted the mattress on her side in an inviting style.

Marco looked at Edgar and Edgar threw a glance at Jose, who simply answered all the codes with a faint slit. He does not know what will happen and does not want to prevent it. If Nolan says something rude to Renata as Mrs Argent, what will happen is very clear. The boy will be kicked out by Edgar himself.

“So, I heard you came to see Jose?” ask Renata gently. She wanted to stroke the child's blonde hair in front of her, fragrance it and comb her hair like a girl Nolan's age should. But it seemed like the child would violently resist, so Renata held back. He just gave a soft look, waiting for an answer.

Nolan looked around once more, then said, “I'm hungry and cold!”

Jose secretly wanted to pin the boy's head.

Marco opens his mouth to rebuke, but Renata immediately picks up the phone and contacts the waiter below to ask for food and a warm drink.

“Maybe you want to take a shower too? Warm water bath?” ryan asked as soon as the phone closed.

“Renata,” reprimand her husband slowly. Sometimes it is difficult to understand the mood of the woman.

The one who was reprimanded immediately realized his mistake, but he quickly put on his calm expression as he said, “Say he is cold, I can't bear to see the little girl cold.”

“I'm not a little girl!” Nolan said, almost screaming. “My life has been seventeen this year! I'm an adult!”

His eyes again glittered in a blaze of anger; the thing that made Marco feel annoyed, but to Renata was even adorable. Renata nodded with a smile, saying how wrong he was in assessing his age and that sometimes he mistakenly guessed the age of the girl. He also added that Nolan looks younger than his age and that is a good thing for girls.

Miraculously, Nolan's face turned soft on hearing the explanation and his expression became much more cheerful. He instead gave compliments casually, “It turns out not all rich people are jerks.”

Jose patted his forehead tiredly, knowing that Marco would definitely be angry. But before his uncle could say anything, again his mother took over the atmosphere by saying that harsh words were not worth saying.

“Why not?” nolan protested vigorously. Now both of his blue eyes are shining. “All I'm saying is honest, and isn't that what matters? The honesty! By lining a sentence with a compliment full of flowers, it will in no way detract from its original intent! If the meaning doesn't change, wouldn't it be better to be honest?"

Renata runs out of words and turns to Marco for help.

“Honesty is not the same as impoliteness, and not a thing that can be used carelessly,” the old man said. “Sometimes there are many things better saved by yourself.”

“No,” refute Jose fast. His eyes turned sharply to his uncle, then moved to his father. “Of course Nolan is right, the important thing is to be honest. What good is it to lie to others, what else is it for the very important thing!” He intended to insinuate his uncle about missing people who were found without blood.
