If ethics and manners are the main principles that Argent upholds, at Garnet the most preferred is calmness. In any case, they are required to always remain calm in public. Maria received years of rigorous training as the only daughter of the Garnet Family.
The one behind the back of the man was clearly a demon. Mary knew without thinking. Something ancient within him recognized that existence, as if they had met before in the past, centuries ago.
Mary simply stared blankly into Sir William's eyes, completely ignoring the monstrous creature behind the man. "What do you mean, sir? Is your statement just a confession that you're using for some use?"
Sir William frowned. One of the creatures behind her who had the head of a goat stuck out her neck to approach Maria and was breathing in front of the girl's nose while letting out a hoarse ripple from between her lips.
Don't be afraid, Mary strengthens herself. Don't blink. Don't take your eyes off.
"Interesting" murmured Sir William softly. "You didn't see it? Or pretend not to see?"
Maria raised one hand into the air as the man walked around the table, preventing her from approaching. "Stay in place!"
"Or what? I admit, you were brave enough to come here alone. But then what now?" The devil on Sir William's back vanished. The room temperature is back to normal. The man grabbed Maria's wrist and jerked her closer until their bodies hit each other.
Maria raised her other free hand and swung it to slap, but the man caught it easily. Both of his hands are now blocked.
"Let go" said Maria from between her teeth.
Sir William did not answer, but lowered his face. The man's breathing swept his forehead with heat, making him tremble wanting. Mary struggled desperately not to drift in the turbulent foreign sensation within her.
"Now, how did you get out of here?" Sir William smiled, amused at the constancy radiating in the girl's eyes. "Is your Romeo coming to the rescue?"
Mary's heart beat faster, channeling blood all over her body, making her cheeks blush in a reddish tinge.
Until a few days ago he still had childish dreams about marriage with the white riding prince who would help him whenever he had trouble. But he was already insaf. The prince was just a candy in his childish dream. Who can help him when he is in trouble only himself. And he, Maria Garnet, will not stand by waiting for help from others.
"I will bite my tongue until it breaks" whispered Maria. He raised his face, staring straight at the dark blue bead in front of him. Their lips are only a few inches away. His smile was warped friendly, but gave a cynical effect. "Whatever you want, you can only do it after stepping over my corpse."
Sir William released Mary's hands slowly, letting the girl step back away from her. Maria looks calm, in control.
"That's all I want to say" she said as she patted the sleeves of the dress, like patting the dirt on it. Mary does not give farewells or salutes. He turned away just like that, the sound of knocking his shoes bounced in a soft echo throughout the room.
Sir William followed the woman's departure with an eye, wondering for himself whether Mary did not see the shadow of the devil attached to her or she was just a good actress. He also wanted to know how far Mary knew about him, about them.
Maria's calmness made her anxious. He wanted to shake the girl's emotions, wanted to see how she reacted when she got out of control, but also did not want to make Maria hurt herself. The girl's body was very important, and the eclipse was still a few days away.

Jose waits in the living room, Susan reports that while occasionally complaining, asking that Maria stop traveling without him. Maria is not angry. He advised that no one would bother him while he was talking to Jose. Susan nodded obediently without much protest this time, making Maria think for sure it was because her face looked windy now.
When he entered the living room, Jose was standing looking at the painting on the wall. The man turned towards her as soon as he heard the sound of the door closing. Without further ado, without even saying a greeting, Maria rushed over and pushed firmly against Jose's body.
The man widened his eyes in shock, but not even a whim.
"Damn you!" Maria punched her shoulder hard, then folded her own hand because she was sick. He walked three steps past Jose, then turned around and nudged as he passed by again. "You know all this, but just shut up!" its spray.
"Maryl?"
"Don't call me that!" Maria pointed a finger down Jose's nose. "You never considered me your friend!"
"Wait, what do you mean?" Jose was worried. "What's this about? Where did you end up? Susan said you suddenly left alone with the driver."
"You ..." Maria stop. Her eyeballs are hot. The fear, disappointment, and horror that he had endured since then was like exploding together, pushing out. "You know that guy was gonna hurt me, but do you care? Nah! You just shut up! Even when I said I liked it and was about to approach it, you let me! You like it when I'm fucked, huh?"
Jose caught the hand of Maria who was about to hit him, then gently squeezed the fingers. "Marry," he whispered, "sit down first, calm yourself."
"Silence, calm! Relax your ass!" maria snapped in annoyance, completely throwing away her manners lessons. He actually realized Jose wasn't entirely wrong, but he needed an impingement. His tears had already expanded in the eye's crackers, and he could no longer control himself. To hell with his family's teachings on calmness. The horned demon shadow still terrorized him every time he closed his eyes. "I'm so scared in there, but do you care?!"
"What's? Where's where?" Jose bought it, then his tone turned suspicious, "You're going to Sir William's house?"
"You don't care! You can only give vague, vague warnings, call midnight and shut down without explaining anything!" Maria kicked Jose's shins, made the man complain slowly.
"I didn't call you!" Jose was confused. "I mean, I did call. But the one who accepted was Dale. Said you were on break."
Maria held down sobs. He jerked his hand from Jose's grasp, then rubbed his wet cheek with a handkerchief. "Every night," he said hoarsely. His shoulders were still shaking withstanding emotions. "You didn't call?"
Jose shakes. "I'm .. busy all day yesterday." His black eyes were covered in guilt. He looked at Mary worriedly. "Are you going to Sir William's house?"
Maria nodded. All this felt strange and absurd, he became silent because it took time to process what really happened.
Now replace the angry Jose. The man gripped both of Maria's shoulders and shook her. "What are you thinking? I told you that guy was dangerous!"
"Where do I know what you mean if you just say danger without explaining!" reply Maria upset, brushed off Jose's arm. He could do it easily because Jose did let go, and the little gesture made Maria quite relieved because she was fed up of being banned like a rag doll. "I always ask you what's wrong with him but you just say he's dangerous or don't even explain anything!"
"You went there without taking any bodyguards and telling anyone ...!" Jose rubbed his face with resignation and shook his head. "At least you'll be able to call me first if you want to go there ..."
Where could I tell you! Maria was frustrated. What am I supposed to say? That I ended up going to his house because last night he abused my brain and faith and made me feel so humiliated?! You think I can tell you that**?
