BLOODY LOVE'S

BLOODY LOVE'S
Chapter 31

Maria was a little surprised when she saw Jose's performance that afternoon. It felt like it was only two days ago that they last met, but that was enough to make the face look different. Kinda different.

When they discussed the invitation to Sir William's house, Jose was still cheerful and relaxed. Even his way of speaking also tends to be arbitrary. Now Jose is like turning into someone else. In addition to the look of his eyes getting sharper, like there was a serious touch there. Things that Mary had never seen before.

Jose picked him up by car, again without a driver, and did not say much during the trip. Maria held herself back from asking what Jose was really going through. In addition to thinking the question would sound strange, Maria argues that she should pay attention first to what happened.

“How is the discussion?” Maria asked, remembering that Jose said yesterday that he was going to the Discussion Hall. “You're going there, right?"

“Oh, I'm not leaving.”

“Lho, why?” Maria looked over, her blue eyes shining softly. In his heart he wondered, maybe the problem experienced by his friend related to the plan to the Discussion Building.

“It's okay. Dave didn't come as promised and I have other business.”

Maria nodded in wonder. “Lho, so Lord Dominic wasn't with you yesterday? You guys didn't meet?”

Jose shakes. “I waited for him a bit long, he didn't come soon.”

“When was the last time you spoke? Did he call you?”

“Last talk on the phone." Jose frowned, sniffing the oddity at Maria's tone of voice. “And no, he didn't tell me why he didn't come. I haven't talked to him again today either. I haven't called him back either. Why indeed?”

“He hasn't come home since yesterday. Said he wanted to go with you, but to this day has not come home.”

The sound of the car engine sounded gripping. Jose tightened his grip on the steering wheel. “What do you mean? Who did you hear from about Dave?”

“You know Lidya? Lidya, the first daughter of the Jewel family? We're in the same riding club. She's Lord Dominic's girlfriend.”

“How much girlfriend?” Jose laughs.

Maria ignored the nervous laughter of her friend. He continued in a worried voice, “He met me this morning, told me about his girlfriend who had not returned home or even contacted him. Tell me, you guys did not meet at the Discussion Building?”

Jose shakes. He told me from the hour of calling Dave, while he waited at Pierre's Shop, until he finally came home because there was a need. Jose did not say that he intended to go alone and instead followed Sir William to the south of Bjork. He didn't feel the need to tell Maria about it.

“Any, where is she then?” Maria muttered softly. His sight was diverted to the outside of the car, arresting two patrolling policemen who were walking with both hands behind. “The Dominic family has contacted the police, but since it has not been until twenty-four hours that he disappeared, the police ask them to wait.”

“But the only friend he made a pact with was you alone,” Maria said. “And you didn't meet. Don't you feel weird?”

“Shortly, you mean how?” Jose's heart is breaking. The feeling is not good. Her biggest worry is that Mary accuses her of a no-no.

“I mean, Bjork is not safe. Lest one more person be lost ...” Maria's voice grew louder. The skin on his face lost its hue.

“Just relax, Dave is not a careless person.” Jose exhaled slowly, a little relieved that it turned out that Maria did not mean to accuse him. The soft-turned car entered the front courtyard of the Argent family home and stopped in front of a line of workers who were already waiting in front. The car is taken over by Jack and taken to the garage while Jose guides Maria in.

“This is just my feeling? It feels like the people in your house are adding a lot, yes.” Mary said as they entered through the double door in front. The swaying door leaf made no sound at all.

Jose nodded stiffly. “Uncle brings some extra people as security officer.”

“Why has the safety suddenly been improved? You guys are turning over?”

That question bothered Jose. He thought for a while, weighing whether to tell the truth or not, then decided that Mary had nothing to do with their mystery.

“Oh yes, Uncle Marco has a good relationship with the police. Can we ask you to find out about Lord Dominic?” ask Maria.

“What's the problem?” The voice appeared first, followed by the body of the owner. Marco walked over, Rolan was beside him.

“Hey, hey, hey! When was the last time we met? It's been a while?” Rolan exclaimed with his usual crisp voice. He walked over, grabbed the girl's hand and shook her with friendship.

Maria grimaced, vividly recalling Rolan's wide smile and also his brown hair. Nothing had changed from the man, even though they had not met for a long time.

“Halo, Doctor. Last year's Christmas, I thought. It's fine, right?”

Rolan smoothed the slightly tangled end of his shirt. Her brown eyeballs sparkled brightly as she laughed again and replied, “Still the same as always, Maria, still the same as before! Wrestling with drugs and disease!”

“And the Doctor also remains cheerful as before,” Maria reply quickly.

“Of course! Otherwise, patients can be scared! Well, now I'm not on duty anywhere, anyway. There's a vacant position in the Argent family doctor's section. I'm now filling in that part.” Rolan turned to Marco, giving a meaningful witty smile.
