BLOODY LOVE'S

BLOODY LOVE'S
Episode 81

The next morning after breakfast, Jose settles out of the house to meet Krip, an informant of the Argent Family.

Now he was in his usual place, sitting on a barrel, next to the cashier, hidden from the guests who came.

Krip handed a little report about Sir William to Jose, but the young man knew that nothing at all was left to Marco. Of course Jose knew that what he was told was through his uncle's screening. He flipped through the documents handed to him, which were written in neat cursive letters and given newspaper clippings.

At least from here he knew one thing: a Bannet had indeed lived in the city of Bjork. Thirty years ago. So, the person in the photo in the clipping book was indeed a relative of William. Thirty years ago was when Bjork was hit by a strange fever. People feel sick, pale, weakened, and then die.

Jose tried to pry deeper into what disease had hit Bjork, but Krip only said that it was a fever brought by Asian traders.

"They were carrying rats in their boat" Krip said as he opened the cash register, counting and clattering the coins. "It was not the cute white mouse that ran around in wheels, not the big one and used to roam the fields to eat snakes or foxes, but the black and bald one. The rats spread disease. I heard that in ancient Asia rats were used as weapons of war. They would throw diseased rats into a city, then just wait until the enemy fell by himself."

Jose rolled his eyes. He closed and kept his documents in the breast pocket of his coat, guessing, Krip would definitely not be willing to help him. The man even rattled an old fairy tale.

"You must think I'm lying" Krip glanced. "I never lied. Animals are often used as weapons of war. There used to be a catapult called rat! Sick rats from Asia were thrown through the high walls of the Scots and spread the plague! Then there's cat—"

"Krip," Jose held up one hand, stopping the man's rant before the beast's name and its war history emerged. "What I want to know is Bjork. I don't care about anything else."

"Little Master ..."

"You owe me" Jose interrupted. He raised his right leg, placed his ankle against the left shell in a domineering pose, showing who was in charge of the place.

This is his last card. Jose actually doesn't like to bring up someone's debt. According to him, it was a very low way. But now there is no other choice. He really needs to know what's going on around him. He didn't blink when he said, "I saved your granddaughter."

Krip's face immediately paled. His hand even stopped stiffly above his lap.

"You haven't forgotten, Krip?"

"No, Little Master, of course not!" the man immediately said. The metals in his hand were immediately spilled back into the cash register. "I will never forget the kindness of Little Master! Even my entire working life, will not be able to pay for what Master and Little Master have done for me! I never forget it for a second!"

In their minds they both now imagine the past five years ago. Krip's grandson, Sean, is six years old. Krip took her for a walk, showing off her new granddaughter to everyone, as well as Marco and Edgar. Marco allowed Sean to look at the horses of the Argent family and play with the sheep on the farm while he and Krip talked about some important things. As the talks became more serious, Krip's surveillance weakened. Sean is trying to ride his own horse.

Krip was so panicked that he almost fainted. But he pleaded with Edgar and Marco to save his grandson. Edgar listened, while Marco had already grabbed another horse, Saw, to chase after Imbrue.

Saw of course lost quickly to Imbrue if in ordinary circumstances. But the art of riding is about the harmony of the rider with his horse. Marco's shrewdness manages to make Saw chase after Imbrue. Marco almost grabbed the boy. Damn, Imbrue had revolted, and threw Sean.

The boy would have fallen to the ground hard, had Jose not caught him.

It was no coincidence that Jose was there. When he saw his uncle's horse go berserk and the little boy fluttering over the Imbrue's back, it was clear what had happened. So, he jumped from a different direction, predicting which way the Imbrue would pass.

Although not confident, Jose had intended to install the body and prevent the horse from dragging Sean too far. Fortunately Marco arrived on time, so Jose was watching closely from the beginning so he could catch Sean swiftly.

The Krips were Argent's informants for a long time. They had served only one Argent, one head of the family. Man cannot serve two masters. But upon seeing the rescue of his grandson, Krip decides to give up his life for Jose as well.

In the custom of Bjork at that time, the first child will inherit the title as well as the wealth of the parents, the second child gets a share, the third and fourth child is arguably completely unlucky. Nothing else would be left for them unless given by his brothers. The part received from parents is obviously only a little.

Jose was the fourth child of the Argent family, and even the people did not really consider his whereabouts. Almost all elites assume, free to establish friendship with the fourth child. It is better to talk and make friends with the first child or the second child who will inherit the business as well as the family name.

But for Krip at that time, it made no difference even though Jose was the seventh child. He devotes his life and career to Jose, if Marco is no longer the head of the family. Krip had already sworn he would not serve another Argent son.

He took the oath in front of Marco, Edgar, and Jose, hugging his crying grandson. In fact, Krip's oath at the time could be seen as an insult to Edgar, but Edgar was not offended at all.

And now, Jose's taking his promise.

Krip looked hard, it seemed like he was really in a difficult choice. On the other hand there is his loyalty to Marco, and on the other side there is Jose. Now he realized why his family's principle clearly gave the rule that they should serve only one Argent.

Jose himself felt like a lowly person who bullied a helpless old man. But he shook slowly and strengthened his heart. He should know.

"Tell me everything you know, Krip."

Krip looked at Jose carefully, then shook his head slowly. "Master doesn't know, you better stay away from this business. It's an odd phenomenon. Very quaint. Mr. Marco will finish it, for sure."
