Mary shut the doors of the rooms and the windows. He also kicked Susan out even though the lady begged to be allowed to stand guard inside. Maria refused strongly.
It's eleven o'clock at night. His heart was beating sluggishly, even though he was tense. Maria knew something was wrong with her body, or with her head, and the doctor would not be able to help. So he'll figure it out himself. He decided to dive into the strange noises in his head to find out what really happened.
Maybe I'll go crazy, Maria thought, but at least I'll go crazy after struggling to do something**.
He put his nightgown together and looked back and forth, looking for a good place. Bed is the best choice. He will not be hit or slammed hard in case, in the worst case scenario, has a seizure.
Maria had just inched up to the bed when the cable phone in her room rang.
The ring felt strange and unfamiliar to Maria because usually no one called this late. He quickly picked it up because he did not want to disturb others. Usually the butler will pick up the phone and pass it on to whoever he is going to. Maria just wanted the ring to end quickly.
"Garnet" he whispered softly.
"Marya?"
"Jose?" reply Maria surprised. Unknowingly he fixed his sleeping robe and tidied his hair. It was ridiculous because the man couldn't see it. "Why? You in trouble?"
"It's not me, it's you."
"You mean?"
"Look ... lately ... Have you had trouble sleeping?"
"Susan told you?" Maria was suspicious. He rolled his eyes in annoyance, wondering why his lady-in-waiting so easily leaked his condition to others.
"No. You have salt at home?"
Maria does not understand. "Well, there's a kitchen. Wh why? You want to ask for? Your family's so low on salt that you have to call outside curfew?"
"not for me. If you have pure salt, sprinkle it around your bed every night when you want to sleep. And in the window, and the doorway."
Maria laughed in astonishment. "There's no snake in my house, take it easy."
"It is not to drive away the serpent, but to drive out the evil eye."
"Excreate what?"
Silent.
"Excreate what?" Mary repeated, but did not get an answer. He stared at the phone transmitter in surprise. No sound from there. There's not even a hum of anything. "Jose?" call again. He put the phone down in surprise, then picked it up again. Still no buzzing or any sound.
Maria stared at the phone for a long time, thinking about all the events she had experienced as well as Jose's recent warnings. He unlocked the door to his room and looked outside, grateful to see Susan still on the side of the wall. The man looked at her worriedly.
"Miss finally opened the door!" yells. "I'm really scared, I intend to call the butler!"
"Hush!" hiss Maria. He widened the door leaf and marginalized the body, letting Susan in. "Call's busted. Try checking on you."
Susan doesn't understand anything about technology, but she tries to check on Maria's orders. He looked at the phone closely, then looked over. "Where's the damage, miss?"
"No buzzing. Not connected to anywhere. Try lifting up and listening. Tomorrow tell Dale to call a handyman."
Susan lifted the sleek black phone handle and stuck her hood to her ears, listening. He frowned. "Miss I mean that tut-tut-tut sound doesn't exist?"
Maria nodded, crossing both hands under the chest. "Nothing, is it?"
"She, Miss. Try listening to." Susan handed me the phone handle.
Mary was listening, and there was an electric buzz. He put the phone back into place, then took a slow breath. "You just heard the phone call not coming from outside? Ringing the phone in?" tanyakanya.
Maria bit her lips. "I must be crazy" he murmured. "Grab some salt from the kitchen, Sue. That's a lot."
"Salt?"
"Hurry up!" hiss Maria was impatient, making Susan immediately rush out.
All of this was strange, but the voice of Jose he heard on the phone just now didn't sound evil or strange. Whoever or whatever tried to contact her, Maria bet on that figure. He was so confused that whatever help came would be welcomed.
There was a knock on the window. Maria looked over, frowning. The sound was like the sound of a pebble hitting the glass. But his room was on the second floor, so there couldn't be any stray pebbles. What is possible is someone throwing a window at him.
But who?
Maria turned to the door of the room that was still opening, deciding to close it because the darkness in the hallway of the house was scary. There was a strong urge to go to the window and check who was tapping on the window of her room behind the curtain, but Maria was afraid she would see something sinister.
He turned on all the room lights, then jumped into the bed and took cover behind a blanket.
"Our Father who is in heaven" he whispered softly, trembling. "Give Your name."
Come thy kingdom, a voice with her to pray. The sound coming from outside the window, his tone scorned. The smell of roses and blood spread in the room. Be of Your will, the voice continues as it giggles, on the earth as in ...? In paradise ...
Maria covered her mouth with both hands from under the blanket, holding a shriek of horror. He could not remember what continued his prayer.
Deliver us from evil, Mary thought, closing her eyes tightly, feeling prayer in her dark inner being. Free us from evil!

Jose looked at Xavier. Condition's terrible. The man was pale. Two fingertips were missing.
By his order, Xavier had been moved to one of the warm guest rooms and given food and drinks. The man looked scared, but his eyes still shone stubbornly. The spirit has not died out from there.
Jose sat on a wooden chair by the side of the bed. They were only the two of them in the room, but Hans and Finnian stood guard behind the door outside. "I'm sorry for my brother's treatment" he said softly, coldly. "She was a bit possessive and her temperament was bad. If he sees a stranger ruffling the house, he'll go on a rampage."
Xavier gritted his nose with a handkerchief, not responding to the latter's innuendo. The bottom of his eyes was red swollen from enduring the pain. He is under the influence of drugs to reduce pain, but can still be invited to communicate. "You've managed to pick up the Marquis?"
Jose nodded. "Uncle told me that you did try to release him when he was in prison, I thank you for that. But honestly I'm still confused by your attitude. You're kinda ... plinplan, huh? What do you want, Xavier? You want to run, but you're also insistent on staying in the same mud."
"Someone must stop him" said Xavier grimly. "But I can't."
"Stop who?" Jose asked carefully. "Your cousin? Baron Spencer? Duke Ashington's? Sir William?"
Every time one name was spoken, Xavier's lips opened wider. The man's forehead was wrinkled deep. "You know what?" whispered.
Jose nodded. He unbuttoned the top two of his shirt and pulled the talisman chain from behind his clothes. "This is what you're looking for, right?"
Xavier was dumbfounded, then his laughter exploded, long and amused. Over time the laughter sounded sadder and he sniffled. "Give it back to him Argent" he said, suddenly serious. "You can't fight it."
"Who said?"
Xavier looked at his puffed fingers and had been bandaged. He rubbed the wet spot at the end of the eye with the other fingers still intact. "Have you ever seen a demon?" tanyanya raau's.
Jose thought of the golem and mushroom giant he had seen, then shook his head. They're not demons.
"Well, I've been, Argent." Xavier smiled weakly. "The one who followed me was not a golem with an irregular shape who always screamed to say your name. I saw a more terrorizing creature. A being who every time he opened his mouth, hundreds of bald heads came out from there and judged my sins. I saw a terrible shadow. And that ... " He shuddered. "That's not something you can fight Argent."
Jose shook his head firmly. "I'm not going to fight it. I'll destroy it."
