BLOODY LOVE'S

BLOODY LOVE'S
Episode 229's

Jose sees his family's horse-drawn carriage that Maria stopped a kilo before the tax office. There's bodies. Many bodies were lying quietly around the train. He drives Run faster while keeping from panicking too much. Run could feel panic, it would even make his horse restless. Yet difficult. Jose gritted his teeth. It felt like a cold dagger was stuck in his heart and the organ was still throbbing. Suddenly, he had trouble breathing. Cold air is painful. He felt his blood pressure drop drastically.

“Mary!” it rang out loud as soon as he was almost there. I should have given him more bodyguards! His hand had already moved out a small dagger from the belt hook. "Mary!" Jose never liked to kill. For him, every human life carries a heavy price that should not be disturbed. But he swore that if anyone harmed Mary, he would destroy her own life. On here. Now either.

Jose had just taken his vow when he saw Maria. The head of the girl looked up from behind the carriage, her hands waving cheerfully. The relief of burning Jose like a blaze, stinging him as cold as an icy heat. He sighed deeply and kept his dagger back, then rode more calmly.

Pete also appeared welcoming. His body was injured, but it had been bandaged. Looks like Susan did it because the lady was cleaning the bag containing medical needs.

“I heard the gunshot,” Jose said as soon as he arrived. His heart was still beating very fast from the panic just now, but his face remained as calm as ever. He jumped down from Run and moved towards Maria, who was now bending over to fix his shoes. “That sound is from here, right? Who shot?”

“You can hear?” Mary got up, looked at Susan. “What's the sound like, Sue?”

“I was surprised Miss is not deaf,” said Susan without looking at Maria. Jose frowned a little. In his home, such insolence would obviously get a reprimand. But he cursed her considering the many corpses around them. Sais the train's dead. Pete battered. Maria obviously did something. I can guess what the girl did.

“You're the one who shot?” Jose turned his head, speechless as he looked at Maria's blue eyes. Aah .. she thought bitterly. What have I done …? Both of his hands clenched tightly at the side of the body. His tongue tasted a bitter taste that could not be lost. I let the person I love have eyes like that …

Look at the eyes of a killer.

Pete takes Run while Susan and one of Garnet's family servants act out, Susan accompanies him sitting in front. Inside the carriage was only Jose and Maria. Sitting face to face will still make room for them, but both sit side by side, shoulders touching the shoulders. Maria was still holding her gun in her lap, looking at the metal dent there.

This is the moment he feared. The gun he was carrying was to shoot Sir William, not to shoot another human. But he already used it for Flora.

Should I let Pete take care of everything? Should I just stay in the car? Maria didn't feel guilty for killing Flora. If he does not destroy the woman, her life will be lost. He did not believe Flora just wanted to exchange it for Sir William's necklace. The cunning woman would have hurt her too, torturing her to avenge what Jacob had done to her husband. Flora might as well cut off her finger and send it to Jose just to hurt the man.

When Jose rejects Flora, the woman sets up a drama to provoke people, accusing Jose of indecent acts on her and for several months acting like a hurt victim. But the drama turned to hit Flora hard, dropping her name in the social world. Although the people displayed a sympathetic and comforting face in front, they laughed at his story and gossiped about it in the back. It took Flora a year to understand that no one really believed her. Since then he has held a grudge against Jose, who has always been silent about not responding to the abuse. Flora felt being played by the world of association. Falling into Flora's hands would make Mary moon-shamed and humiliated. Maria knows that.

Maria has no regrets about killing Flora, but she fears Jose will be disappointed in her. He was afraid that Jose would consider him cold and evil. He was afraid that their relationship would be broken. His mind is foggy now. Why is it that after liking Jose, I get scared more easily?

“What?” jose asked in shock. “Why can? I scared you?”

“Hah?” Maria raised her face in shock. Heart's slipping. “What do you mean?”

“You said after liking me, you got scared?” reset Jose. He turned his head, slightly bowing his head in order to see Mary clearly. A faint smile was plastered on the man's face.

“I ... say it?”

“Very clear in my ear. You didn't realize you said it?”

Maria was unconscious. He thought he was still talking in his heart. The sting in his heart traveled all over his body to his head, making both cheeks heat up and become reddish. It made Jose laugh. Maria pinched him with a hunch, but also felt a little relieved hearing the man's laughter.

“Mary.” Jose stopped laughing. He caught Mary's hand and cupped her in his hand, then shifted her seat a little obliquely until they could face each other despite being in the same chair. “I want to apologize.”

“For what?” Maria's entire body froze, suddenly feeling scared.

“Sorry I was wrong. Previously, I wanted to apologize,” err the man slowly. His eyes look serious. His voice was a little choked up as he continued, “I want to apologize for not giving you more bodyguards. I think Pete's had enough. He is one of the strongest of the workers. I wanted to apologize because I forgot about Flora. I should have remembered there was still him in Bjork, but .. well, I was negligent. I want to apologize for making you pull the trigger. I want to apologize for not accompanying you ..”

When Jose finally stopped talking, fear paralyzed Maria. He wanted to know why Jose didn't apologize for all the sweet reasons, but was also really afraid to hear the answer. After Jose expressed his love, Maria was always filled with doubt and fear. He was worried that Jose would change his mind, he was worried that he would make a mistake and make the man dislike him again, he was always discouraged to think he was tainted, he was afraid, he was agitated at the thought of how Arabella could not be expelled from her body and Jose got tired of seeing her sleepwalking like crazy. All that fear made Maria feel almost insane. Does love make everyone this scared, or am I the only one like this?

“You said ‘because’?” finally Maria got up. His eyes are wet. The cold fingertips were still motionless in Jose's hand. “Then why not be?”

Jose lowered. Maria held her breath, thinking the man was going to kiss her, but Jose just banged their eyebrows slowly.

“Because I know you'd be offended if I apologized,” whispered, distancing the face so they could look. His hand on Maria tightened. “You've always been like this. If there's danger, you're not avoiding but rather confrontational. Do you remember when we were kids? There are market people whistling disrespectfully at you and what are you doing? You come and rebuke them: those who are older and bigger and stronger than you. You made one market boisterous from fighting with them until I needed to go call Krip! If the police patrol had been there that time, I would have called them!”

“Such people need to be directly reprimanded. If I dodge, they will think I am a coward and laugh at me from behind,” Maria said in self-defense. “Then they will feel invincible and harass other women!”

“Then you felt like someone was pranking your train at the debut party. What are you doing, hm? Another woman, another normal person, would have the waiter find a new carriage. Rent a train, cut someone else down, or at least tell me, I was with you back then! But no, oh no. The independent Maria Garnet would not do that." Jose rolled his eyes. "She even had a confrontation in front of the remaining guests, riding her own carriage, he said, waiting for her to fall into disrepair in front of everyone at the party to show the person who nagged her that a broken car would not topple her beauty or humiliate her.”

“And I still remember you rashly coming straight to Sir William's house even though you knew that he was a danger!”

“It was .. “

“Then you went to Flora Spencer with a gun in hand! You just learned to use it yesterday!” Jose doesn't want to be interrupted. He even raised his voice.

“I'm smart! Mr. Stuart praises me, he says I am a genius,” Maria says it with great pride. He had never held a weapon before, but could use it well once taught.

“You told the hit men to leave! They're hit men! Even if the one who paid them died, they had their own pride. Where can they go when you say sweetly! What if there's no Pete and your other waitress? Good thing Pete can handle them!”

Maria gaping. He pursed his lips again, then dropped his gaze in annoyance. "Pete can fight in total because I'm not around him, so it's good that I'm going."

“You're Garnet's only daughter,” whispered Jose. “I know your parents gave you a very heavy burden for you. Society ... labeled the award to you too much so that it makes it difficult to move. You have high self-esteem, you want to live up to the expectations that people put on you. You're tough and you always want to prove it. If I apologize to you, it's the same as denying all your efforts, assuming you're the little girl who should be protected in the greenhouse. You might feel insulted. That's why I'm not sorry even if I want.”

Hearing that made Maria feel troubled. Jose was right. As the only daughter of the Garnet family, she did get more burden from the daughters of other families. He must pay attention to his words, his actions, can not even pin the word friend to just anyone because the status as a friend of Garnet is not cheap. The impact can be huge. He went to leave Aston to Bjork because the association at Aston was very noisy for him, even though he was only four years old. In Bjork is not much different, but he can handle it because he met Jose. The man's calmness and playful nature that helped him to stay sane, reminded him to still enjoy life.

“I love you because you are Mary,” continued Jose after a long silence. The glint in his black eyes softened. “I like you who always try hard like that. But can you stop putting yourself at risk? You criticized me yesterday, you said I always worried you. That's how I've been feeling lately, too. Just now. I think my age was half gone. Don't be rash, Mary.”

Maria nodded small. Relief was evident in his faint blue eyes. Jose pulled her closer, hugged her. Maria closed her eyes, finding a comfortable place to lean in the recess of the man's neck. Jose's coat was cold and damp due to the freezing air outside, but his embrace remained warm.

“I thought you wanted to say that you regret liking me,” whispered slowly, feeling ashamed of yourself because her tone sounded spoiled.

“Why can?”

“I killed him .. Flora ..”

“Then why?” Jose tightened his hold and kissed the tip of Maria's head. “If it means your safety, I don't care even if what you do is morally right or wrong.”

“I killed him and I don't feel sorry, Jose ... ” Maria ventured to say that. His grip on the back of Jose's coat tightened. He waited, waiting for Jose to take off his arms, waiting for the man to say that it was not this kind of woman he loved, waiting for a rejection.

Jose took a deep breath. “If it wasn't you, I would have done it, Mary,” whispered. “I'm sure also won't regret it after.”

Maria drowned her face in Jose's coat, inhaling many of the man's body scents. He chuckles. “You are crazy Jose,” he said in a wet voice.

“No. Just fall in love.”

Mary laughed again, louder and relieved, lighter. He raised his head, letting Jose kiss him for the third time that day.

Then the fourth time.

Fifthly.

Six.

...

Mary lost count in Jose's arms, in the sound of two hearts beating together.
