BLOODY LOVE'S

BLOODY LOVE'S
Episode 150's

Kyle and Ask had just turned twenty-one in July and were allowed to wear the cloak of a Scholomance monk. They wear it diligently every time they come to attend a meeting in the castle.

"Similar meetings clean-up," Ask comments as they discuss it. "I want to grow up quickly so I can meet him."

The Scholomance Leader is called He. They, the young monks, had never met the man. But according to rumors, it was that person who survived the demon by leaving behind his shadow.

"What can we do, we're still young monks" Kyle said. He looked out through the large corridor window, consisting only of a semicircular hole along the stone wall. Dusk crept rapidly through the forest. Soon it will be completely dark and they will have to light a torch fire along the corridor. "There will be a time when we will go up. Anyway our task this time is pretty easy."

Ask nodded. Then as commanded, the two of them turned slowly into the room behind them.

Inspector Robert found their victim who had escaped and this time tied him up more strongly and placed him in a room on the second floor that was almost always visited by the solomonari.

Ask and Kyle are chosen by Baron Hastings as guards until nightfall. Their job is easy, just by peering occasionally, making sure the victim is still breathing until the eclipse is a few days away.

"He wasn't fed?" kyle whispered, bowing his head to Ask.

Ask scratched his spotted nose, shaking his head. "Baron Hastings said, twice a day give him water. Throw the water also does not need to be taken care of because we are not the servants."

"He peed in dong's pants?" Kyle grimaced in disdain, revealing his yellow teeth.

Ask shrugged his shoulders, not caring. "Leave it. He needs his life, not his body."

Kyle nodded again. He looked back, towards the room that was not illuminated. There was no smell, so the man had not urinated. Kyle was happy. He will be lazy to stand still in a room that smells like the contents of a latrine. He might even vomit. "Say he broke into the prison behind the castle" he said. They had already discussed this, but he was bored and had no other talk, so Kyle repeated.

Ask nodded. He also responded because he was just as bored, "And he survived the golems that Baron Hastings made."

Silent moment. Kyle looked. "You ever see what a golem is?"

Ask shakes. "Don't know, but he said it could be ordered. Two monks tried to take a look, but they said they went crazy and committed suicide. Golems are very dangerous for people who lack faith."

"And Baron Hastings can make it. I like Baron Hastings" Kyle whispered.

Ask smiled, still looking at the twilight that was creeping like a conch. The sky is orange. "Me too" he said. "He's kind. Not like other arrogant Northmen."

Originally just like most other Southerners, Ask and Kyle hated the Northmen. They are careful whenever they are in a room with them and do not want to look into their eyes every time they talk. But after getting to know Scholomance, the two changed their minds. Baron Hastings was a kind and friendly person, as well as polite. The man was humble, always giving them interesting stories about what happened outside Bjork.

Scholomance lets them know that what is wrong in this world is not a social stratum, not a race or an ethnicity, nor a human being in general. What is wrong is their religion.

"Everybody should join Scholomance" Kyle said. It's yawning. "If everyone thought the same as Baron Hastings: everyone is the same. Our blood is red, our bones are white. And we can all be God."

Ask nodded in agreement, contracting a yawn. "If everyone knew we could be God, they would stop fighting and fighting. Stop fussing over social strata, stop fussing over possessions, or women."

"Everyone is equal and equal in Scholomance" Kyle concluded solemnly. The two of them just repeated what Baron Hastings once said.

The remark was so appealing to Ask and Kyle that they often discussed it as if it was the result of their own thoughts. There is a satisfaction for them when using the way the Northmen talk, they feel so much smarter. But the two never spoke like that in the South. They might be laughed at.

Kyle looked once more into the room, then after confirming that the body was still breathing, he turned his eyes back. He did not feel guilty seeing how Marco, whose ankles were each strapped to the legs of a chair and both hands were pulled behind his back and tied there. He had heard from Baron Hastings that the man was very cruel and his tongue was venomous.

"After this go to the first floor? He said there was a drink" Ask said.

Kyle shakes. "Must go home soon. I was forbidden to wander. You know Nolan's missing, right? The girl who always plays with the Northman."

"I know, I know Nolan. You ever talk to him."

"Yeah .. she's missing. Many people were afraid."

Ask. "It's a pity, but she's pretty enough to be quiet."

"If you shut up." Kyle nodded in agreement and giggled. He was not very familiar with Nolan. He had only seen the girl a few times, and at every turn, Nolan was angry or kicking people. He tapped on the window stone. "On the first floor there are a lot of people?"

Ask nodded. "There's more coming. The eclipse is getting closer."

"They went to the festival yesterday, right?"

"Yep. He said let the Northmen not suspect. The person in the room, Inspector Robert said, is sensitive to the same inlet of people. That's why it's a good coincidence he came alone to be arrested."

Kyle chuckling. "It turns out the Northman is a moron." He stared into the room, frowned, then nudged Ask. "Hey, is this my wrong eye or isn't he breathing?"

Ask turned. He squinted his eyes, trying to see more clearly. "It's like motion."

"But I don't breathe."

Ask took a breath. He grabbed the torch by the side of the room door, handed it to Kyle. "There to the first floor, find an older officer and tell him the victim's sick."

"You?" ask Kyle.

"I'm right here. There should be one person guarding," Ask grabbed another torch on the other side. "You can also light a torch along the wall when you get back here."

Kyle nodded. He clasped the torch tightly in his hand, keeping it away slightly as the heat of the fire hit his face. "I'll be right back" he said, turning around, walking straight up the stairs.

Kyle had just reached the turn of the corridor when he heard the sound of Ask suffocating, then there was a loud thump like the sound of a stone being dropped. Kyle stop. His legs feel hot.

"Ask?" Without a second thought, Kyle ran back to where they were. The shadows were chasing in the castle walls. Kyle's heart was pounding. Ask's not in the corridor.

"Ask?" Kyle immediately stormed into the sacrificial chamber, the place where Ask was likely to be. He was right, Ask was there.

The man was lying on the floor facing the chair. Something dark was welling up under his head, getting bigger and bigger. Ask's body twitched weakly a few times, then remained silent.

Next to Ask's hand still clutching the torch, stood the old man with the rope strung in hand. The man smirked at Kyle, who could not find his voice to scream. Suddenly his underwear felt wet. Hot urine melted his feet into the between shoes.
