BLOODY LOVE'S

BLOODY LOVE'S
Chapter 32's

Maria turned her head politely, smiling gracefully as she looked at the figure beside Rolan. He recognized Marco, a tall and proud old man. The man's chin was always raised high, making his eyelids drop in half when staring at others.

Maria still remembers her bad memories with Marco. At that time Marco alluded to a plan to match him with Jose. Unfortunately the idea sounded so sudden that he unconsciously laughed. For him, Jose was like a brother.

Mary did not mean anything bad, but to the Argent family who held ethics above all else, Mary's laughter was an insult. Even though the Garnet family had apologized so humbly and Edgar as the head of the Argent family had also accepted, it seemed that Marco had not forgotten the insult at all.

The two exchanged smiles and greeted each other politely. Maria bowed respectfully and Marco countered in cold courtesy.

“Lunch is ready, right?” Jose said quickly, getting everyone's attention turned to him.

“Come on, Maria just came! When you want to tell him to eat and drive him away?” Rolan took out a pocket watch from his pants pocket.“There's still time to chat.”

“We go first to the casual room,” break up Marco. His forehead is pucker deep. He was obviously not happy to see the guests and the host chatting while standing at the door.

Led by Marco, the four men walked hand in hand towards the lounge. It is located on the east wing of the house. They pass through a glass corridor featuring the Renata greenhouse. Maria expressed admiration sincerely, hoping that it would soften Marco's hardness of heart, but only Rolan reacted. Even Jose who usually responded kindly just kept quiet by Maria's side.

“Why you?” mary whispered to Jose while Rolan was talking to Marco about a certain type of plant that only lives in the tropics.

Jose turned his head stiff, looking at Maria with a look of wonder in his eyes. “Why?”

“Don't answer me, deh! You don't seem to like me coming. Am I interrupting or ... what? You guys having an internal quarrel?” Maria caught a faint smile on Jose's lips, making him wish that the man would pat his back lightly as usual and say that no problem had occurred.

But there seems to be a problem. Jose looked back at him seriously for a while, then said in a slow whisper, “After eating I will take you home. You have class at two o'clock.”

Maria blinked her eyes in confusion. Now he really doesn't understand what Jose is thinking. Just as he opened his mouth to clarify his hermit taste, Rolan turned back to them.

“So, what are you guys talking about?”

“Just a matter of lesson,” Jose responded quickly, making both of Maria's eyeballs highlight in wonder.

Of course they did bring up the dance class, but it didn't feel like it could fit into the category of conversation that Rolan was referring to.

“How's Mrs Argent?” maria asked, trying to change the topic in the direction she could reach.

“Good,” Rolan replied, accompanied by a light nod. “He will join us later. But now he's out with his friends. Social affairs.”

“I heard you guys talking about Lord Dominic,” Marco said as they entered the lounge. He sat first on the white sofa at the end of the table, followed by Rolan, Jose, then Maria clockwise.

Maria circulated a fleeting glance throughout the room before placing her gaze on Marco's face. He looked at the man's stern jaw and white mustache, involuntarily shuddering as he looked directly at Marco's cold black eyes.

“Yes, I heard from Lady Lidya Jewel. He said, Lord Dominic hasn't come home since yesterday.” Maria steals a glance at Jose, watching his downed friend play a finger. “Says he has an appointment with Jose.”

“But he did not come,” revealed Jose firmly. “I waited for him a long time, but he didn't come. “

“Yes, I am also not saying otherwise,” said Maria hastily, realizing that Jose was not in a good mood. “I just said what I heard from Lady Lidya. He looks very anxious, he said Lord Dominic never disappears without news.”

“Come on, Dave is indeed a co-star.”

“We can't underestimate missing persons in these conditions, Jose,” Maria said upset. “People are missing in Bjork. Most of them just go to meet up with friends or work, and then suddenly they disappear! I think it's only natural that Lady Lidya gets anxious.”

“Sure. I'm not saying that his attitude is unnatural, am I?”

Marco mendehem loudly, making Jose hastily mutter sorry to Maria.

Well, it turns out that there is something wrong here, Maria thought in wonder. He had never seen Jose behave like that. Indeed, they often fight. Even when driving him to a party held by Sir William, Jose had invited him to a fight. But now it feels strange to Mary. Jose was like he was troubling something.

“Maybe Lord Dominic is just playing.” Maria turned her gaze back on Rolan and Marco. “But I think it's good also if the police immediately look for him.”

“His family doesn't report?” Rolan frowned.

“He said, but they were told to wait. As long as it has not disappeared until twice twenty-four hours, they have not been willing to move.” Mary strangled the wood carving on the table in front of her. The table was flat and oval-shaped, with ethnic carvings on the top surface. Thin glass sheets are attached also on the table, making ceramic decorations or glasses can still be placed sweetly.

“Yeah, the police have been pretty busy investigating a lot of missing people lately." Rolan turned his shoulders.

“Indeed, I also understand that,” Maria sighed. “Moreover there is still not a single victim who met, it must make the police anxious.”

Jose coughed twice, then nodded in agreement to Maria's words. “Indeed, what a pity his family. They must have been very anxious, wanting to know what exactly happened to their missing family member.”
