BLOODY LOVE'S

BLOODY LOVE'S
Episode 95's

Hans and Gerald were on the bed, wrapped in blankets and clutching a glass of brandy. As soon as he saw Rolan coming, the two immediately got up from the bed.

"Doctors are okay?" ask Gerald quickly. "Sorry, we should have gone to the doctor's room soberly."

Rolan waved his hand casually. "Just like you, I'm Argent's errand boy. No need to be too formal. Well, sit down, just sit down."

Of course Rolan's remarks were not taken seriously by anyone in the room. Although Rolan was not an Argent, he was the younger brother of Renata, their Madam. They may not be treated with respect.

George took a seat for Rolan, then closed the door. Only four of them were in the room.

"Thank you, George. It must have been a hassle taking us to the main house," said Rolan.

George understood what Rolan really meant, the man didn't really feel awkward. Quite the contrary, Rolan was making sure what happened in the Higgins hut was unknown to anyone. "No need to worry, Doctor. Finnian and Harold are helping me, they're Argent's loyal servants, there's not going to be a fuss. They're good at keeping their mouths shut."

Rolan smiled faintly, then returned a look at Gerald and Hans in front of him. "Show me the talisman you have."

"Talisman, Doctor?" Gerald frowned. "I mean, our tattoo?"

Rolan nodded. "Yes, if Marco hears me speak, he will surely get mocked again, calling me drowning in superstition. But, do you know what that tattoo on your skin means?"

Gerald shook his head. He and Hans sat on the lip of the bed, in front of Rolan. "This is our family crest. I mean, me and Hans are from different families, but our village is the same. There, there is a habit to mark the family coat of arms on the body after the children get well back. As amulets and reminders of birth."

Rolan grinned. He knew the village in question. He found it accidentally while reading articles to find out what the symbol on the gold medal Nolan found. Hans and Gerald's home village has no name, but it has an interesting tradition, which relates to the ancient religion of Bjork.

Tattoo talisman repellent nightmare.

"That's a talisman" said Rolan. "No, rather, it's prayer. Sigil."

"Seals?" asked Hans and Gerald compact.

"Sigils and seals are two different things." Rolan stopped because George poured brandy for him. He really feels cold. "Well, for a minute, almost the same, anyway. All that can parse your sigils is the maker, because it is not a common sigil as is commonly used for the summoning of angels or demons. You guys got some kind of prayer like that. The circle is a prayer reinforcement. The general rule of making a sigil is to remove the vowel, summarize the repeated consonants, then arrange the remaining letters in such a way that they form a whole unit, then are perfected with a circle. So, I can't decipher what your protectors are. Anyway, whatever it is, your talismans work. Your sigils are powerful. Hence, you can face whatever creatures come to kill Wallace."

Hans and Gerald looked at each other, clearly feeling proud and calmer, though still confused.

"To my knowledge, this tattoo is to protect someone from the evil eye." Hans scratched his cheek.

Rolan nodded. "Yes, to protect you from the creatures of the night as well. And that's why we survived. No other explanation."

"So, what exactly happened just now, Doctor?" ask Gerald in a daze.

"Just calm down, it's safe here." Rolan replied sure. "We just got bullied. I did ask you on purpose at the Higgins cottage, considering that the creature was seen Jose had been there, maybe Higgins accidentally invited him so that the cottage was easy to enter. You know the myth that vampires can't get into a place if they're not welcome? It's likely that Higgins accidentally let the creature in, so the cabin isn't safe."

Hans remained silent for a long time, then asked quietly, "While knowing the place was a danger, you deliberately questioned us there?"

Rolan turned his shoulders. "I guess whoever just came after Wallace must still be lurking. He must have been looking for what he couldn't find in Marco's room. As I thought, he listened to us, and seemed to guess the necklace was on me. Then he attacked us."

George, who had been listening since, clapped his hand once, exhaling a sigh of relief. "Thank God, Dr. Rolan survived."

Rolan smiled broadly. "I admit, I was careless," he said. "But I'm grateful Hans and Gerald saved us. And of course, it's all thanks to my knowledge as well."

"Why did the Doctor force me and Hans to join hands?" ask Gerald curiously.

"After seeing that your tattoo is a protective sigil, I immediately knew that that's what kept you safe when Mr. Wallace didn't." Rolan downed his brendi, closing his eyes slightly as he felt the heat spread from his throat to his chest, then all over his body. "Then I was the only one unprotected in that cabin. So, I'm just making protectors out of you. Like I said before, the circles form a powerful shield. You're covering me is, of course, protecting me."

Hans nodded slowly. "So, we serve as a sigil for the Doctor?"

Rolan grimaced, rubbing his curly brown hair. "of course. I told you, circles are a powerful symbol. If two protected people like you encircle me, it will form its own protector. You see the results, I survived. Ah, don't be angry. This discovery could help you protect your master. Just hug any Argent you want to protect."

Hans was silent for a moment, then he laughed out loud, followed by Gerald.

"Truly Argent's family doctor" they said in a laugh.

Rolan tilted his head, lifting his glass of brenda up. "thank you. Come on, we're all toast. You too, George."

"If the doctor allows, just one glass," welcome George.

They raised the glasses up, Rolan rose from his chair to take the lead. "Returning to live to this day."

"Reply," greeted the other three men as he tapped the glass.

"But Doctor," Hans put an empty glass in hand onto the wooden table in front of him. The hue on his face is back. "Why can the doctor be sure we're safe now? Who knew the creature was coming again?"

"We will crush him," Gerald snorted, smashing his left fist into the right palm. After hearing about talisman and drinking brandy, he became confident and more courageous.

"Just calm down, he won't come here" Rolan said. "She thought her necklace wasn't on me. Now I'm sure that the creature and its necklace are indeed related. Maybe he's chasing Marco now. Who knows?"

The room suddenly quiet.
