BLOODY LOVE'S

BLOODY LOVE'S
Chapter 48's

Edgar frowned. "It's precisely because it's better he's not involved."

"I deserve to know, Dad," Jose denied.

"You'll know when this is all over."

“After everything is done!” repeat Jose in a cynical voice. "And when will it all be finished? Jacob's brother is coming home, then what? You'll tell her who doesn't know anything, but won't say a word to me?”

“Jacob came home to accompany your mother. Go back to the room, Jose.” Edgar got up close, then patted his son's back slowly.

Jose looked at his father angrily. A red hue crept down his cheeks quickly. But he immediately turned away, not to slam the door because he still remembered the manners that Marco instilled so deeply in him.

Edgar was rarely angry. Usually the man is so considerate, and anger never goes into the options he has to choose. When ordering Jose to leave, Edgar's face was still as soft and calm as usual. There is no anger.

But there was something strange in Edgar's tone that made Jose give in. His father's orders, combined with a face that looks sad, make Jose remember the past.

Edgar's face just now was the face of a father who was frightened but tried to toughen up. His father put on that expression as he pulled Jose down from the mill machine that Jose drove secretly as a teenager. His father wore that expression when Jose showed his parking skills. His father also wore the same expression when he ordered Jose not to hang out with Bjork's underground thugs. Her father had the same face water just now. Worrying face. Fear face. The face of a father trying to keep his son out of danger.

Seeing his father's expression like that actually makes Jose want to challenge, want to show that he is no longer a child that needs to be protected. He is able to face everything like an adult. He did not even experience excessive fear when he had just met the strange figure in south Bjork.

But there was a difference in the expression implied on Edgar's face just now, making Jose had no choice but to retreat. Even so, Jose had absolutely no intention of actually retreating. He will investigate for himself what really happened. If Higgins alone could be found dead all of a sudden, then what about the other servants? What about the Argent family?

This matter is definitely not a trivial matter. After all, what they were dealing with was indeed no ordinary human. Jose's heart was pounding at a rapid pace given the file of the report he had just read.

Nolan looked at his sister with a face of disbelief. Loma looked earnest. After all, the description of the figure told just now was exactly what Nolan saw while fishing with Jose last afternoon.

A black veiled figure that fluttered like a torn robe. Nolan shivered. His eyes again caught the creeping smoke of fog filling the top of the house. Soon the fog will reach the middle, then slowly disappear. The fog only appeared and lasted for a while, no one knew where it came from. Nolan is not smart about nature and the people around him are also unable to explain the origin of the fog.

All Nolan knew clearly was that the fog that had crept to the south of the city came from the forest; at first it only appeared naturally every morning and night, when it was not yet light. But lately, along with the many events of missing people, the fog appears so much more often. The white smoke infiltrated out of the forest and reached the corners of the city like it had a soul of its own. Children in southern Bjork believe the mist has hands that will grip anyone found outside, and that's what causes people to disappear.

What am I supposed to do now? I know ghosts actually exist. Jose tried to warn the people here! Because I do not support it earlier information .. now people will not believe that suddenly I say there is a strange creature across the river.

Is that creature really there? Does he live there or just happen to get out of there?

Nolan closed his eyes, recalling the horrifying and freezing sensation he experienced when he saw the figure cross the river. He remembered the sound of the water. The taste of the ground and the prick of a dry branch in his hand, the cold wind that set up the Roman feather, then also the heat of Jose's back when carrying it.

Nolan gasped to himself, hitting his forehead in annoyance at the sudden thought of it. He was still amazed to think when Jose suddenly pulled it, then ran while carrying it— was even able to jump the trunk of a giant tree that collapsed. It doesn't make sense. He had never seen a man who could do that. That is, carrying people while running.

Even after that Jose can still speak quite clearly and smoothly, although a little breathless. Nolan scratched his own head in annoyance. Shame at being reminded of his demeaning cold tone when he cheated everyone, saying that all Jose saw was a ferret. He remembered how the black-haired delicate face looked offended. Jose walked away without looking back, without saying anything.

“What should I do now?” he murmured unconsciously. He closed his mouth, then breathed a sigh of relief when he saw his sisters were still sleeping. Loma was also slumbering beside him.

Ah, nevermind! Thought bad. Instead of thinking, tomorrow I come again and apologize to him!

Just as Nolan pulled out his blanket and was about to close his eyes, his eyes caught the figure flashing in the window. The Black Ghost.

Maria again confronted Lidya, upsetting him a little. He has a lot of work to do and a list of shoe stores to go to. But after remembering what was going through the woman, Mary felt ashamed of herself for thinking selfishly. He walked down the stairs, meeting Lidya who immediately greeted him in a puddle of tears. Maria hasn't even said good morning.

“Dave is not back yet! Police haven't found him!” Lidya said in between sobs. Just sobbing. There doesn't seem to be enough tear stock to shed. The girl's eyelids were swollen and both eyes were red, but there were no tears.

“Quiet,” that's all Maria can say while leading Lidya to a seat. He hugged the girl, patting her on the back patiently. “I've spoken to Marquis Argent about this. The Argent family can definitely speed up the search.”

“Really?” Lidya raised her face. The scent of lilac flowers spread from the haggard face.

Well, I did talk, and the Argent Family could indeed hasten the search, Maria thought secretly. But whether or not they're going to look, that's I don't know ....
