"Come to my study at 9pm."
So was the message Marius sent to Ana through his cell phone. This message was sent after they had lunch together. Even until nightfall, Ana still could not give herself a picture of what Marius was going to talk about with her.
As Ana suggested yesterday, Rain finally told Marius herself of her desire to return to school. Ana who drove him to see Marius just smiled at Rain who was whispering in his daddy's ear.
Marius himself looked surprised as if he could not believe what he was hearing. She looked at Ana like she was looking for confirmation. And after Ana nodded her head, Marius looked back at Rain and granted her daughter's wish.
Then, this message appeared on his phone after Rain met Marius. "Does it have anything to do?" thought Ana.
And, meeting Marius was only the only way to be able to get the answer. After making sure Rain was fast asleep, Ana immediately went down to see Marius.
And just like that, Ana is currently in Marius' workroom which turns out she is not alone in her study. There's Lucas and a guy who .. I don't know ... Ana seemed to have met him. But, where?
"I'm sorry to call you here all night" said Lucas, who tried to open their meeting.
"We're just going straight. Maybe you don't know it yet, but someone's tried to kidnap Rain before" he continued.
"M-kidnapped?," Ana wanted to correct what she had just heard, but it was indeed the word she heard, exactly what she had imagined.
"At school, a former nanny takes Rain out of her school and away from her bodyguards. This opportunity is taken advantage of by people who are already monitoring them. Two men on his motorcycle tried to kidnap Rain. The rest, you know the story better."
"Me?"
Ana tries to recall the events that happened as told by Lucas. A kidnapping? A motorcycle? Two guys?
Ana's eyes widened as she recalled the events of that time. When he threw the kidnapper in his shoes and beat him with his bag.
That instant, Ana finally recalled the foreign man who was in the room. She was the bodyguard who asked Ana to meet her master, but Ana rejected him at that time.
"It seems you already remember" Lucas commented as he watched Ana's reaction. "He's David, the head of security," Lucas continued, introducing the man beside him.
"So, you mean Rain was the boy back then" asked Ana, who still did not believe. Lucas gives Ana a sign that what he says is true.
"Wait, but at that time, the woman with Rain seemed to be going up against their time to bring Rain. Why do you say the nanny took Rain out of school as if her nanny was working with the kidnappers?"
"That woman is the one who helped Rain besides you. He seizes Rain from the nanny who took her, and takes Rain away from the kidnappers. Unfortunately, the woman could be overtaken by those on a motorcycle. That's when you came to help him. And when there was a chance, he immediately ran and hid."
"Rain was found crying. David suspected the woman had deliberately left Rain out in the open when he saw the guards running around, so the guards could see her."
"Did you find that woman?"
"No. As soon as they saw Rain, they focused on Rain's safety. We just found out how it actually happened from the CCTV footage. Unfortunately, the footage is too far away, so can't see clearly who that woman is."
"So Marius fired the last nanny" Ana thought, recalling the two servants' conversation.
"Is there no other CCTV footage? Isn't it a public place, there should be plenty to guide."
"none. It's likely someone else has manipulated the tape."
"Why would someone want to kidnap Rain?"
"Unknown. This is the first incident. Rain has only been in school for 3 months. After this happened, Rain refused to attend school. Marius has also brought in a psychiatrist to relieve Rain's trauma. And, as you know, Rain still didn't want to go to school."
"It turns out that's the reason" Ana thought.
"Rain also did not want to talk about the woman who helped him. So, we can't question the woman and can only rely on the information obtained from you as well as the CCTVs around her." Lucas reminds Ana back about the information Ana wrote on a piece of paper. He placed the piece of paper in front of Ana.
"So, the kidnapper hasn't been caught yet?," asked Ana to draw her conclusion.
"Yet. The license plate number you gave me turned out to be fake. Police are still having trouble investigating. So, we're trying to investigate it ourselves."
"They've failed before, are they going to try to kidnap Rain again?"
"We were not sure at first either. But, David once assigned people to oversee the circumstances around the school at different times. And they took pictures of suspicious people near Rain's school" Lucas said, listing five photos of the faces of several people.
Ana recognized one of them. "He's a motorized man" Ana said, pointing to one of the photos. Lucas took it and handed it to David.
"David suspects that they are monitoring whether Rain is in school or not. And if that suspicion is true, it means they'll try it again" Lucas continued.
"Is it safe for Rain to go back to school?," Ana starts to blame herself for giving Rain her stupid idea of going back to school.
"Send security to us, Miss Ana. As long as Miss Rain and Miss Ana are still in our sights, I'll make sure you're okay" David said.
"Will they do it again if they see me? I'm sure that person must still remember my face," asked Ana hesitantly.
"Therefore, you will monitor from different cars. Rain will be with the female bodyguard in disguise" Lucas said.
"Rain must have been terrified" Ana said.
"Because of that, too, we need your help, Ana. You can calm Rain down, and Rain will obey you. David will arrange for you to stay down and take Rain to his class."
Ana watched them one by one. In his current mind other than Rain's safety was also Rain's happiness. If this kidnapper is not caught, Rain will forever be in the shadow of fear. And the only way Rain could be free of that fear was to capture the kidnappers.
"I can understand if you don't want to do it, Ana. I'll find another way" said Marius, seeing Ana clearly at war in his heart.
"No. I'll do it" Ana said confidently. "Give me two days to get Rain ready. When I'm ready, I'll let you know. I'm gonna need some stuff, so please provide it for me."
Ana had already set her heart to help Rain through it all. He had faced off against the kidnappers, so it was not difficult to face them a second time. "They will definitely regret having disturbed Rain," Ana said furiously in her heart.
