Babysitter For Rain

Babysitter For Rain
CHAPTER 75

As soon as Ana showed the box, Marius immediately read the letter inside. He still looked at the letter even though he had finished reading it. Marius may still convince himself of all he reads in the letter.

Marius also looked at the other items that were inside. Ana had no idea what it was for, but Marius took out some of the items that were inside, then kept them. But a letter from Adam, was given to Ana after she made a copy of the letter.

"I know, you must want to see Valerie right now. Go awayl. I'll tell David to go with you. I'll catch up with you soon with the lawyer" said Marius.

And Ana immediately went to see Valerie.

The car Ana was riding in was already speeding quite fast. But the journey still felt slow for Ana. During that trip, Ana was already impatient to tell Valerie about what she had discovered today. She continues to hope that this time Valerie can accept all the truth that Rain is Adam's true son.

"Wait for Mommy, Rain. Wait for Mommy ..."

When Ana arrives in front of Valerie's house, she is unable to find Valerie. Valerie's assistant said Valerie will hold a press conference to inform her of her daughter and the princess's biological father.

Valerie was already preparing to leave the entertainment world. That's why he's going to do this press conference. He had even already rejected all the incoming offers just so that he could retreat even faster.

Ana's chest felt like it was being hit by a huge hammer upon hearing that. Marius once said that Valerie was a reckless person, and at that time he felt for himself just what Valerie was. In order to be with Dylan, Valerie can even do all of this.

Ana doesn't want to think anymore, especially when she finds out Valerie also brought Rain with her and will introduce her to the public. He immediately pulled the assistant to go with him to where Valerie was.

......................

When the car that brought them stopped in the front lobby of a convention hall building, Ana immediately ran after Valerie's assistant who would take Ana to the dressing room, where Valerie and possibly Rain were.

Many journalists have arrived. Some of them are ready with their equipment. A few more were talking about Valerie and the reason for the press conference that day. Although she was running, Ana could hear them still mentioning Marius by name.

The voices dissipate as Ana turns towards a passageway that leads her to Valerie's dressing room. And at the end of the hall, Valerie's assistant immediately opened the door of a room. That's where Valerie's dressing room is.

As soon as the door opened, Ana could immediately see Valerie standing looking at her. And a second later, Valerie began to show her anger.

"Would you like to come here? Why did you bring him here? Where's security? Get rid of it!," cried Valerie in the room that was not big.

"Stop this, Valerie. You can't do that press conference. Rain is Adam's real son" Ana said in a pleading tone.

"Enough! Enough's enough!! Enough!!!," cried Valerie. "You always impose your desires on me. Dylan's father! You all don't know, but I know!"

"I have the proof, Valerie. I found the evidence that Adam left behind" Ana said, showing Adam's letter and the test results.

Valerie snatched the letter violently. His eyes kept glaring as he read it. But then everything changed.

Valerie's two eyes began to show her disbelief. His hands seem to shake.

"lik! This is your rotten stratagem, right? You guys did this so I could stop this press conference, right? You guys are really outrageous" said Valerie who was still shouting.

Valerie throws the letter in front of Ana's face, then goes out of the room. But, before Valerie reached the door, Ana grabbed her hand.

"Please, Valerie. Don't do this. Think of Rain's feelings. He'll be very sad."

Ana continued to plead even though Valerie looked at her with disgust at the look on her face. He doesn't care if Valerie will hit him. As long as it can stop Valerie, Ana will do anything.

"Vallery!"

Someone had just walked into the room and shouted calling Valerie's name. His face looked very panicked.

"The boy is gone."

"What?! How could he disappear? I told you to take care of her" Valerie said furiously.

"Who's missing? Does Rain? Where's she? Say, Valerie!"

Ana holds both sides of Valerie's upper arm. He kept forcing Valerie to give him answers. But, even Valerie herself did not know where Rain went, then how would she give Ana the answer she wanted?

Before Valerie could finish, someone else went into the dressing room.

"Come, Valerie. The reporters are waiting."

"You'll find the boy soon. I'll see ...."

Ana did not wait anymore. It's not unusual for Valerie to be so stubborn even when her own biological child is rumored to be missing. Therefore, Ana was unwilling to waste her time by persuading Valerie again.

"David, get your men to find Rain. He must still be around here somewhere. We're gonna go see the security guard to see the CCTV footage."

Luckily, Rain was caught by CCTV cameras. In the footage, Rain is seen walking alone out of the building. And that's the bad news.

David immediately orders his men to move out of the building in search of Rain. Ana ran out of the building like Rain did.

Ana kept running while asking everyone she passed by. He showed me a picture of Rain that he had stored in his phone. But no one saw it.

He shouted calling out Rain's name, hoping that the child could hear him. But no one answered his call. Ana was almost desperate. He sits on both feet.

As she pictured the frightened Rain alone in the streets, Ana got back up. He ran back and asked everyone. No matter how many people kept saying no, Ana kept looking.

Right at that moment ...

CIIITT .... BRAK!!

The squeaking sound of the car with its long brakes suddenly hit something. Although it sounded quite far away, but that voice could be heard as far as where Ana was standing, it seemed like the car had just hit something quite hard.

Suddenly Ana felt a cold chill that pierced into her heart.

"Mommy ..."

Ana heard clearly Rain's voice calling out to her. But as Ana searches for him, there is no Rain anywhere she sees him. "Rain ...," he called her down.

The people gathered at the scene of the accident became more and more numerous. Just by looking at the crowd of those people, Ana felt something uncomfortable in her heart.

Shortly after, from the crowd, Ana saw a red car driving past her. In it, he saw the figure of the person he had seen before in Valerie's house.

"Dylan ..."

Now, Ana's feelings are getting worse. He immediately looked towards the crowd of people, then dashed towards them.

BRAK!!!

Before Ana reached the crowd, the sound of a collision was heard again. Ana turns around and sees Marius's car hit Dylan's car until both are destroyed.

But that's not what Ana wants to see now. He turned around again, and ran towards the crowd where the people became more and more numerous.

Ana has to get rid of everyone so she can see who they're looking at right now. Fresh blood flooded quite a lot by the time Ana managed to enter and approach. And the last thing Ana saw was the body of the little girl whom Ana easily recognized even though there was a lot of blood that soaked her face and body.

"Rain!!!"

Ana's screams made people move away from Ana and Rain. They gave space to Ana and Rain.

Ana approached Rain's lying body without daring to move it. She simply held onto the little girl's tiny face with tears soaking her face. He did not care that his hands were now filled with bloodstains. Ana kept calling out Rain's name.

Marius came directly to hug her from behind along with the ambulance attendant who was directly handling Rain. Marius continued to whisper to Ana to calm her down. Although Ana continues to rebel to be able to escape from Marius' embrace, but Marius still does not let go.

"Rain will be fine, Ana. He'll be fine."

In her cries and cries, Ana did not know whether she should trust Marius or not. Rain lying on the hot asphalt unconscious. Blood flowed out from his head and wounds on his body. He kept thinking, did he have to believe Marius' words?
