The atmosphere of Marius' house that morning was completely silent. Although there were a lot of people there, but no one said anything about what happened yesterday. Everyone chose to remain silent.
Especially when they find out that Miss Eli, their butler makes the decision to retire from her job. None of them dared to comment on this decision.
Marius orders Lucas to prepare for Eli's departure to his resting house. Marius was just waiting in his study.
Before Eli leaves the house, he asks to meet with Ana and Rain. Lucas asks Ana this before he delivers it. And because Ana agreed, Eli sent to Ana.
"You are right" said Eli, who spoke first as he sat before Ana.
"I doubt Rain is Adam's son. But when you made him laugh, I saw Adam's laughter there. That's what makes me angry when you do. Because for the first time since I was determined to ruin her happiness, I felt, I had made a mistake."
Eli bowed his body before Ana. "Thank you for everything."
Ana is shocked to see Eli do that. But, he didn't know what to do.
Ana looked at Lucas who was standing by the door to help her, but Lucas just shook his head gently. "It's okay," he whispered.
In the end, Ana only accepted the form of gratitude by bowing before Eli.
After meeting Ana, Eli asks her permission to meet Rain. Lucas explains, Marius tells Ana that it is her decision to allow Eli to meet Rain.
Ana did not understand Marius' intention of handing the decision to her. But, Ana herself did not see anything wrong from that request. Therefore, he allowed Eli to meet Rain who was playing in the playroom at the time.
When Rain met Eli, the little girl was astonished to see Eli standing before her. A thing he rarely experienced, because Eli himself rarely showed himself to Rain, except at certain times.
Rain sees Ana, but Ana tells him not to worry. Rain looks rather calm.
"This is someone's favorite item when he was a child" Eli said as he pulled out a handmade rag doll from his bag and handed it to Rain.
"You can see the name here" Eli continued, pointing out a stitch that formed the name of the person behind the rag doll. "One day, when you can read, you will know who this belongs to."
Then Eli straightened his body, then held onto Rain's shoulder so that the little girl would stand up straight.
"Someone named you Rain Madeleine Hadinata . That means you are a Hadinata, so stand up straight, ...."
Then Eli touched Rain's chin and raised it up slowly.
"... elevate your head. Show them you are a brave Hadinata."
Lastly, Eli held onto Rain's tiny face, then kissed Rain's forehead gently.
Ana who saw this could not hold back her tears. He turned his body towards the room door, then wiped his tears.
Lucas, who was beside her earlier, placed his hand on Ana's shoulder gently.
Eli's departure is delivered by a bodyguard assigned by David by car, without Marius and Rain. But Ana also stands in front of the car that delivers Eli with Lucas.
Ana recalled the first time she came to this house. Eli was the one who welcomed him at that moment.
Although they have no close relationship, when Ana delivers Eli, she understands one thing from an Elizabeth Gunadi.
That a mother who loves her child should not always be her flesh and blood, and vice versa.
......................
"Do you drink?" said Ana, almost shouting to see Marius sitting in the sitting room upstairs near Rain's room. What surprised Ana was that Marius was holding onto her whiskey glass.
Ana just came out of Rain's room after putting her to bed. As he was about to enter his room, he saw Marius.
"What are you doing here? Rain can see you," Ana growled.
"Come, I'll take you to your room upstairs. Rain must not look at you like this," Ana said as she raised Marius' arm over her shoulder.
Marius retracted his arm, and now he pulled Ana's arm to sit beside him. Ana was about to stand up, but then Marius landed his head on Ana's lap. Makes Ana not only unable to stand up, but also not daring to move herself, for fear that Marius would fall.
For the umpteenth time, Ana's heart skipped a beat as Marius touched her.
Ana could only shut up without saying anything. What can he say? Marius had done it before Ana had allowed it. And Ana could not find the right word to forbid it, for she herself did not want Marius to go from there.
Long enough Ana and Marius stayed in their respective positions without anyone starting to talk first. Ana thought Marius might be asleep, so she took the whiskey glass out of Marius' hand slowly, then placed it on the table in front of her.
After that, Ana no longer knew what she could do. Ana was also afraid to move. He also cannot stand. So, what should I do?, Ana cried in her heart.
But, looking at a quarter of Marius's face that was not covered by his arms, it could be a fun activity to spend time while waiting for Marius to wake up.
Ana looked at Marius while thinking about many things inside her head. Seeing the handsome man who was probably exhausted made Ana remember something.
Marius once did this to Ana when he felt the same way that Marius felt today. As a result, Ana felt much better. All his anxiety and fatigue instantly disappeared as Marius did that.
"Perhaps if I do that, Marius will get better," Ana said in her heart.
So his hand was raised, and he gently stroked Marius' head. "You did a great job today, Marius," Ana said. "All will be well."
Marius remained silent for a long time. Of course, she was asleep, Ana thought.
But then, with a sudden movement, Marius caught Ana's hand that landed on her head. Then, lock Ana with her gaze.
For a long time, Ana looked at Marius deeply. His heart that had been beating so fast, now it felt like it was going to explode. Ana had no idea how she should react when Marius did that.
Marius raised his body while still holding Ana's hand. Then, suddenly, Marius fell down weakly and let go of his grip.
"I'm not strong. Please bring me to my room" said Marius, putting his hand over Ana's shoulder.
"Huh?" After his heart was made to beat uncharacteristically, Marius now made Ana stupefied by her sudden request.
"Oh, dizzy," said Marius again, holding the temples of his eyes with his other hand.
Ana who saw that became worried. It was obviously impossible for Marius to return to his room in such a condition. Marius stood up and walked towards the upper room. Not to forget, Ana also brought Marius's whiskey glass.
"Later look Rain," said Ana Lirih.
Marius takes out the whiskey glass Ana holds, then lets Ana carry it upstairs. At first glance, Marius' lips lifted slightly upwards. But, then it disappeared changed with a face full of pain.
"Having arrived, the door is open, you can enter by yourself, right?," asked Ana who still looked worried.
Marius nodded his head, then walked into his room. But then, he fell on Ana.
Ana quickly captures Marius. "It seems like it can't walk," Ana thought.
So Ana led Marius to lie down on his bed. He placed the whiskey glass Marius held on the nightstand, then tidied the blanket for him.
He was just about to leave Marius who looked calmer, suddenly Marius' hand pulled him to fall lying next to Marius.
Ana tries to get up, but Marius's hand holds her back to remain lying down. Once again Ana tries to get up, and Marius further tightens her embrace. Ana was getting unable to move.
"You pretended to be asleep, huh?" asked Ana.
Marius did not answer.
Ana's heart grew increasingly erratic. The floor can no longer be controlled.
"Oh my God, please save my heart" Ana said.
For too long, Marius held Ana with him. Until Ana could no longer endure her drowsiness. Ana tries to stay awake, but all her efforts seem to be in vain. Ana falls asleep in Marius' arms.
Marius continued to watch Ana who was already asleep. He smiled seeing the girl in his arms. Kissed the girl's hair. Then, he glued himself to Ana.
"Sleep here tonight, Ana. Let me hold you, "inward Marius.
And that night was the happiest night for Marius after a long time he had missed the girl.
