CHAPTER 54

Waking up with eyes that are still sleepy makes Ana want to sleep again soon. Just because she was waiting for a call from Marius, Ana couldn't even sleep well last night.

Last night Ana thought about trying to talk to Marius over the phone. But apparently, from the two calls Ana made, none of them were answered by Marius.

Ana still thinks Marius is busy. That's why he's waiting for Marius to call him back. "Maybe Marius will call me back when he's not busy anymore" he thought all night. With such thoughts in mind, every hour he would definitely wake up worried that he would not answer the call from Marius.

If it wasn't for someone knocking on her doorbell, Ana would probably still be asleep until the sun was already hanging over the sky. And it turns out, that someone was Naomi's man.

This afternoon, Ana is going back to see Dr. Aris. Naomi helped him again make an appointment with Aris' doctor later that day.

"Don't forget about noon, you have an appointment with Dr. Aris. I also told people to get your car. You should have gotten the key by now," Naomi said on the phone.

Ana looks at the car keys she just received from Naomi's man. "Yes it should be. If you want to help Marius, it has to start with me first. Healing yourself can only heal others" Ana thought.

Ana is about to leave the house when her phone rings.

"Noel?," said Ana Lirih mentioned the name that appeared on her phone screen.

"Hello ...," said Ana.

"Hello ... I heard you're going to see Dr. Aris today. We go together, yeah?" said Noel.

"From where ..."

Ana did not finish her sentence, as she saw Noel waving his hand in front of the fence of her house. Ana immediately disconnected the call.

"How long have you been here? Why not just go in?" asked Ana after she approached Noel.

"I knew you'd be out. So I'll just wait here" Noel replied.

"Where do you know I'm going to see Aris' doctor?"

"Doctor Aris is my friend. Remember?" replied Noel who smiled proudly. "I told him to prioritize you if you sign up again."

"N-don't have to be."

"It's okay. Are you ready? I'll drop you off. Aris is waiting for you now."

Prak!

Ana was just about to answer Noel's question, when suddenly something like it had just been thrown over her head. Ana has no idea what just threw at her. But clearly even though it hit her head, Ana did not feel any pain, because it did not feel too hard.

As his hand examined his head, something thick and sticky hit his hand. He lowered his hand only to see what was on his head that, something clear was mixed with yellow.

"You okay, Ana?" asked Noel worriedly.

"It's an egg?" asked Ana as she looked at her hand.

Prak! Prak!

Ana feels something thrown back at her. This time it was thrown twice at his back.

"Awas, Ana," cried Noel. Quickly, Noel protected Ana from the next throw. Her field body covered Ana's head, and both her hands hugged Ana's body.

"Ugh." Ana heard Noel's voice in pain. It seems like the thing thrown this time is not an egg.

"What's wrong? What hit you?" asked Ana worriedly. Noel answered nothing.

Ana searches for the answer herself when Noel does not answer her question. He looked at the streets around him. He saw a large stone.

"Calm down, Ana, relax. It's okay," Noel replied trying to calm Ana down.

"Eggler! You perjakor!"

Ana heard a scream that was not far away from her.

"Basic lakor!"

The screams were repeatedly shouted. This time Ana saw, there were a lot of people standing near her house, surrounding her and also Noel.

"Who are they?" asked Ana.

"Don't be a girl. Gatel was very tempting to men," shouted one of them who followed the hustle of the agreed tone from the others.

"What'sthis? Are they wrong?" asked Ana, who was still confused by all this furore.

"Go far away, actor! Don't bother our idol. Valerie deserves to be happy."

Not long after, the eggs were returned to Ana. Ana's hand is reflexively raised to protect herself.

"Come, Ana. You better get inside. It's not safe here."

Noel immediately pushed Ana into his house while protecting Ana from the throws. While the men still showered her with eggs, Ana had no choice but to obey Noel.

Arriving inside, Ana looks at the fence of her house filled with her people who stare at her house with a look of anger. Some of them still pelted their houses with eggs.

The two people from the crowd moved with a cloth in their hands. They tied him up along the fence of Ana's house. Although upside down, Ana could read the red inscription written on the cloth. "Eggler ! The actor! The actor!"

"You don't know why they did that?" asked Noel, who also took a peek outside the house with Ana.

Ana could only shake her head. He did not understand at all why he was called an actor by those people.

Suddenly Ana's phone rang. He immediately grabbed his bag that he had placed on the sofa earlier.

"Let's! You're all right? Did they hurt you?"

Naomi sounded very angry and worried as well. His screams could almost be heard by Noel.

Ana was just surprised to read all the news. But she couldn't cry, for some reason. His head is currently empty. He can't think about anything. He didn't wonder why or how. Ana could not think of anything.
