"I rented this house to you. Sorry, maybe not too big, but hang on for a second. When I become the head of the family, I will take you back to the Hadinata house" Young Master Hadinata said.

"Why did you do this? I'm just a regular waitress who's made a big mistake in her life" Eli said.

"You know, we haven't had children in a long time. When we heard about you, my wife kept asking me to help you. He's very appreciative of your decision to keep this kid, when you have the choice not to."

Eli began to cry as he saw Mr. Hadinata stroking his son's head gently.

"Moreover .. just think of this as my token of service to my Nanny Mother who begged me to save you."

Eli was surprised to hear Mr. Hadinata say that this was his mother's request.

"Come on, Adam .. we play there," call little Leo who was 6 years old.

"I've told you many times, don't just call her name. Call him Mr. Adam" Eli said, beating Leo's arm.

"Don't call me Sir! I'm tired of everyone calling me Master" said the little Adam annoyed.

"Haha .. leave it to Eli. Let them do as they please" cried Lord Hadinata from a distance.

"Your sister will soon be born. You will definitely play with him a lot" said 8-year-old Leo.

"Marius will be my sister, but you will still be my brother" said little Adam, hugging Leo.

Then they laughed together.

#

"Do you like it?" asked the 32-year-old Leo.

"I love him, Leo," replied Adam.

"I always give up on you. Can't you just give up on me this time? I'm not gonna demand anything from you."

"I'm sorry, Leo. I'm sorry ... But I love her so much" cried Adam.

#

"So you're really getting married?" asked Leo.

"Yes, Leo. Rain needs me as his father. And I'm gonna marry her so Rain can be with me. I'm sorry ..."

(flashback off)

......................

Ana was still silent looking at Eli who was currently back leaning on his sofa chair. Eli looked back at the sky from the bedroom window after he vented all his anger.

From Eli's anger, Ana finds out that it is true what Dara is accusing him of.

"Now I understand why all the servants in this house are always talking bad things about Rain. Turns out, you let them do it," Ana said.

Eli laughed cynically in response to Ana's words. "I did it so that the boy would never feel his happiness. He has no right to be happy when my two sons suffer for it."

"I can't do it in person, everyone is watching me. But, if Dara did it, they would just take it as much as they did."

"I have to thank the person who planned the kidnapping. Because he made me not have to bother forcing that nanny to get out of this house."

Eli turned to look at Ana. "Then you came. You're the only person I can't touch. Not even Dara. I can't do anything, even when that kid starts loving you."

"Therefore, you planned out the snake and strawberry toy?" Ana said.

Eli just smiled cynically without looking at Ana. He looked back at the window.

"But, I don't think you planned it" Ana said.

Eli wiped his sinister smile off his face. He lowered his gaze to look at Ana.

"You thought of many things just to torment Rain's inner self, but not to injure her physique. You didn't plan the kidnapping either. But you can do it if you want, and you can freely hurt it elsewhere without needing anyone to know."

"So, I believe, if you weren't the one who ordered Dara to put the snake toy in my room, so would the strawberry."

Eli's eyes showed doubt as he looked at Ana. He could neither refuse nor accept Ana's statement. His mouth remained tightly closed.

"One thing I know, you don't really doubt Rain. Maybe right now, you keep thinking that Rain is not Adam's son. But in your heart, there's little belief that Rain is really Adam's son. Therefore, you never hurt him. You're worried, if you're gonna really hurt Adam's son."

Eli was getting speechless. His eyes continued to open with width, his breathing grew faster, and his hands continued to hold onto his arms violently.

Ana stood leaving Eli in such a state. For him, he had listened enough to everything, and it was time to leave. But, as Ana reaches the door and holds the doorknob, she pauses to say something to Eli.

"I understand you're doing this because you feel it's not fair. But ... when you do this to Rain .. doesn't that mean as bad as he did this to Leo and Adam? I'm sure, if Adam saw all this, his heart also ached to see Rain had been treated unfairly by the person he cared about so much."

Ana left the room, and sat crouching in front of the room. Ana began to shed all the tears she had been holding back.

Shortly after, Eli's roaring cry rang out into the room. Now, Eli and Ana both cry for their loved ones.

......................

"You have finally met me" said Eli, who saw Marius enter his room.

Marius only went silent in response to Eli's words. He looked at Eli with a feeling of unworthiness. There was a feeling of anger in his heart, but at the same time, he felt pity.

Marius placed a large brown envelope on the nightstand near where Eli was sitting. Eli looked at the envelope, then looked at Marius in surprise.

"Adam .. He told me before he died. He wanted me to give this to you, " said Marius.

Slowly, Eli picked up the envelope, and took out the contents inside.

"He bought a large piece of land on a hill. There he built a house. Because he knows, it's your wish to be able to live a quiet life by living on a hill."

"She told me to take you there when you've decided to retire, with a few servants so you can stay with you and serve you old."

Eli's hand trembled holding the document inside the brown envelope, which turned out to be a land ownership letter written on behalf of Elizabeth Gunadi.

"He wants you to know, until ..." Marius tried to stay strong, but he was unable to hold back his tears. Marius tried to restore his strength in order to convey his brother's last message.

"... until the end of his life, he continued to feel guilty for causing Leo to decide to end his life. But ...he never regretted doing this for Rain."

"Adam thanked .... for all the affection you've given him during his care, and this is his thanks to you."

Marius was still trying to gather his strength to stand up straight. Because there's still something he has to tell Eli.

As for Eli, the woman still continued to cry with the documents in her hands.

"For you, I'll close the matter, and let you rest. Someone's gonna take you to that place in the morning. A few servants are waiting for you there with a butler. Don't worry, all your needs remain the responsibility of the Hadinata family" Marius explained.

"For Dara, I'll keep her here until I get the real culprit. After that ..."

"Do whatever you want with him according to the Hadinata family rules. Betrayal is appropriate to be punished" Eli said, cutting off Marius's conversation. Simultaneously, he took out a memory card and placed it on a nightstand nearby.
