Babysitter For Rain
CHAPTER 16

Marius sat looking at Naomi who was in front of him with his uneasy feelings. This morning, Naomi sent him a message to ask him to meet. Even though she knew what Naomi was aiming for, the discomfort continued to linger on Marius' feelings.

He knows who Naomi is. The only daughter of Mr. Winata who is currently the Chief Technology Officer or CTO of WINZ Group, a fairly large group of companies engaged in information technology.

Marius also knew that Naomi was Ana's only friend since they were children. The one who took care of Ana so much wherever she was, the one thing Marius was so grateful to her for doing that for Ana.

Marius even knew, the reason Naomi had met him must have been because of Ana. Marius believes there is something that worries Naomi so much that she decides to meet him.

"A hundred million a month for a babysitter? Maybe Ana can trust him, but I can't."

Marius did not flinch from hearing Naomi's accusations against him. There was no reason for her to dodge, that hundred million was indeed just an excuse for Ana to stay in her house.

"A Marius Edmond Hadinata, the most powerful CEO during DYNE Group's founding. People who even cancel cooperation from GDN Group only because the profit received is reduced by 1% from the initial deal, it is now hiring a nanny who does not even have the qualifications for it at a salary of one hundred million per month. "I like that spirit. What if I offered you an interesting offer, I heard your new satellite launch project was in trouble. What if I invest in that project?"

"You bribed me to let Ana go?"

"I wouldn't say that. This could be the beginning of our partnership."

"And you wish I'd just say yes?"

"Or maybe I need to invite you to join the megaproject DYNE is currently developing? You can choose whichever."

"You didn't listen to me, Mr. Marius!," said Naomi, who was already getting upset.

"You don't understand it, Naomi!"

Naomi was slightly surprised by the reaction Marius gave. In the VIP room where they met, Marius' voice sounded like it filled the entire corner of the room.

"I knew you'd do anything to take Ana away from me. But I'll give you anything ... anything .. as long as you let Ana be with me ... Let her stay with me, Naomi."

Naomi was silent listening to Marius speak. For the first time, she meets a man who is willing to defend Ana even though she is already cornered.

"You're free to blame me for those events, and I won't dodge them. It was all my fault. I was wrong because I did not predict it so I did not anticipate it. But whatever it is, don't take Ana away from me, Naomi. Whatever I'm gonna risk to protect her."

Naomi lost her words, but she did not take her eyes off Marius. Naomi was about to skin all the contents in Marius' heart.

"You don't know anything about Ana, you just met. Don't use Rain to fool her, because she ..."

Once again Naomi looked at Marius and reminded him before he left. "You are the number one person I would blame if anything happened to Ana" Naomi said firmly. He then placed his business card on the table, then pushed it in front of Marius. "This, for us to talk about business."

Marius hid his smile from Naomi's sight until the woman was completely out of the room where they met.

"Naomi? What ..."

Ana is surprised to see Naomi suddenly come out of one of the rooms in Lorenzo Vins. The bodyguards on duty today were ordered by Marius to take Ana, Rain, and also Ryu there after they took a walk. Unexpectedly, Ana even met Naomi.

Naomi who saw Ana immediately approached her and gave her a small jolt on Ana's forehead.

"Aw ...," cried Ana in pain.

"This was for your stupidity yesterday. I've heard the story. Don't do it again, Ana!," orders an angry Naomi.

"Ish, Marius already scolded me yesterday. And now you again" said Ana, holding her forehead.

But, then Naomi hugged Ana tightly. "Call me if you need anything, yes" Naomi whispered in Ana's ear.

"Eh, Nao ... You're okay, right?" asked Anxious Ana, who saw Naomi walking away.

Without turning to face Ana, Naomi raised her right hand and waved it, "I'm fine. Remember my message, Ana. Come on Ryu, let's go home."

Ana looked at her best friend with her anxious look. Ana and Naomi used to hug each other, but Naomi never looked so calm after scolding Ana. "May he really be okay," said Ana Lirih.
