Babysitter For Rain
CHAPTER 25

Marius inserted the flash given Ana into the port on his laptop. Then with the earbuds in his ear, he played the video of the recording stored inside the flash.

"Why do we have to clean this bastard's room?"

"Why do you think? Because God is not fair."

"You're right. How can a child who is not clear father mother, then brought into a rich family, and can live a good life. We are just his servants."

[Rain was watching TV and dancing. Ana is not with him]

"Is it true he's not Mr Adam's son?"

"They said it was. Sir Adam took her out of pity for her mother."

"That's lucky for him."

"Lucky what? He's just a fucking kid. Shortly after that, Mr. Adam died."

"Gruesome ..."

"He's just a kid doesn't know himself. He should have realized he wasn't part of the Hadinata family."

"Do you think he's listening to us?"

"You didn't see? He kept dancing like a fool. I doubt he knows we're here. "

"God! You think they're spoiling you? They're waiting for you to let their guard down, and throw you out on the street" said a servant who pushed Rain's head with his index finger.

Rain only silently lowered his head as the servant did so.

"Hey, don't be. He'll report us later" said another waiter.

"Here, don't be afraid. He will not dare. All this time he was silent. He is gago. Besides, if it's reported, Miss Eli will protect us."

Marius stopped the video. He could no longer watch the rest. His hands clenched extremely hard, as hard as he held all his anger.

He took the glass containing the water in front of him, then drank it. He set his breath to calm him down. Then I went back to watching the video.

Several times Marius was forced to stop the video, as it continued to show pictures of people who made him angry. They were constantly talking about the same thing when they saw Rain. They all hate Rain.

But, moments later, the video showed a different image.

[Rain was on his bed. He hugged both of his legs. His face was hidden between his legs. The sound of sobbing and the up and down movement of his back showed that the boy was crying.]

Marius stopped the video. His eyes continued to stare at his laptop screen which was displaying Rain who was crying. His heart is very painful. Especially when he thought about the child would often cry alone without the knowledge of others.

Moments later, Marius continued the video.

[Rain raised his face, then rested his head on his knees.]

"Is Rain really an illegitimate child?" asked Rain softly.

Marius pressed the stop button. He can't take it anymore. His breathing began to heavy, and with a sobbing, Marius began to cry. She felt that she had failed to keep her promise to her brother to always protect Rain.

(flashback on)

"Whose son is it, brother?" asked Marius.

"She's called Rain. He's my son, Marius" Adam answered, holding the tiny newborn baby.

"Who's mother? That crazy woman?"

"Don't do it, Marius. She'll soon be your sister-in-law."

"He asked me to go home first. He'll be coming soon. I asked him to stay here."

"Son Adam still believes in him? He just didn't want Brother Adam to keep waiting for him."

Adam just kept quiet.

"He never loved you, brother. And now he's giving you this kid. He wouldn't even carry it. He threw away this child, brother," said Marius angrily.

"Oh, it's okay. I'll take care of him myself. She will definitely return to my side when she misses Rain" Adam said as he held baby Rain.

"Sister, are you sure he's your son? You know the rumors that are circulating now? He's got a scandal, brother!"

"Marius! You can doubt him. Never doubt Rain. I'm sure Rain is my son, my flesh and blood."

"Sister! Sis!" cried Marius who was not ignored by Adam, for Adam had left him.

"Look, Marius," said Adam weakly with a ventilator that wrapped half of his face.

"Ppromise me ... you will keep Rain .. don't let ... anyone hurt him or .. snatch it. .. from you ..."

"What are you saying, sister?" isak Marius answered the request of his brother who was lying weakly in the hospital. "You'll recover .. We'll take Rain to Disneyland as you promised him."

"Don't .. ever hesitate ... Marian ... Rain is ... my son .. please ... take care of him ... for me ..."

"Sister? Sis!," cried Marius when he found out Adam, his brother was no longer breathing.

(flashback off)

Marius gasped in shock and woke up from his sleep due to a nightmare. His breath is still hunting. Cold sweat washed all over his face.

Marius lifted his body and found the laptop in front of him. Apparently he fell asleep in his study last night.

He saw the clock on his desk. It's still 4 in the morning. There's still plenty of time left before Lucas arrives. Marius went back to playing the unfinished video he had watched last night.

"Where did you put the toy snake?"

"I always take it with me."

"Don't forget to put it in ...."

Marius immediately ran away from his study. His head kept screaming for Ana's name. "Hopefully he hasn't seen it yet" he hoped.

David and two other bodyguards were on their last patrol before their duty hours ended.

"David! Come with me!" cried Marius.

Soon Marius ran to Ana's room upstairs. David and another bodyguard followed Marius from behind.

Marius banged on Ana's bedroom door many times. Soon, Ana comes out with a look of astonishment to see Marius and David and his men.

Marius immediately pulled Ana and hugged her. He held Ana's head back so as not to be able to look the other way.

"See!," orders Marius.

David and his men immediately work to carry out Marius' orders. Ana, who was still in Marius' arms, looked puzzled by all this.

"What's wrong?" whispered Ana who glanced upwards to look at Marius.

"Meet!," cried David as he lifted up the toy snake that Marius said before they went upstairs.

"Just close your eyes" Marius commanded gently. And Ana obeyed him.

Marius gave David an order to take the toy out. As David passed by, Marius closed Ana's eyes with his left hand, though Ana herself still closed both eyes.

After David completely left the place, Marius let go of his embrace. Ana, who was freed, immediately questioned Marius.

"What's so early in the morning?" he asked.

"Someone put a snake in ..."

"Snake?!?"

Suddenly, Ana falls. He fainted in front of Marius.

"Ana!," Marius yelled out to call out Ana's name many times. But Ana remains unconscious.
