Babysitter For Rain
CHAPTER 13

Naomi's schedule that was supposed to be canceled was not possible. That's why her secretary keeps calling Naomi. Ana feels lucky because in the end Naomi leaves too.

"Remember my message, Ana! Don't ever feel sorry for Marius!"

Naomi constantly reminded Ana. He even threatened to visit Ana every week at Marius' house. Ana only agrees to everything so Naomi can leave quickly. Other business Ana will think about later. Because for now, there are important things that Ana should focus on.

Ana stops by to see Rain in class before returning to the car with David. Ana can see Rain laughing happily while playing with her friends. Rain was supposed to be like this, Ana thought.

Ana recalls Marius' words that night after Lucas and David came out of Marius's study.

"Why do you keep letting Rain go to school, if you yourself are worried that the kidnapper is still hanging around?" asked Ana.

"Because for the first time, Rain asked me something in his own voice, even if it was just a whisper. I feel like I can't let those kidnappers take away her happiness. I won't let them ruin Rain's happiness."

Marius' wish was exactly the same as what Ana wanted. If Rain wants to stay happy with his friends, then the only way to make it happen is to stop them from disturbing Rain.

Ana walks out of the school gate to the car where David is. David gives a laptop where it is seen recording the position of the people they suspect. And the two men Ana had met before were also there.

"How are they going to bring Rain, if this time they don't even have anyone to help them?," asked Ana.

David gives the long-range binoculars he holds to Ana. "There are two suspicious people. I'm sure they're waiting for the cue" explained David.

Ana uses the binoculars to search for the people David is referring to. It turned out to be the same people in the photo that Lucas showed that night.

"So what are we going to do now?" asked Ana.

"We're gonna make them come to us. Thus, we can tell whether these people are indeed as we suspected or not,"

"How did they get to you?" asked Ana again.

David pointed to the female bodyguard who had been carrying Rain out of the school. The guard was seen carrying something.

Ana could not see clearly what she was carrying, as she covered it with a cloth. But, Ana recognized the bag that was behind her. "That's Rain's school bag!," cried Ana.

Ana almost stands up and intends to get off the car to prevent them from carrying Rain. "They didn't say they were going to use Rain as bait!," Ana wrote in her heart.

But, David stopped Ana. "It's just artificial. Miss Rain is still in the classroom" explained David.

And it turns out to be true. As the bodyguard approached the car, suspected people began to prepare to move. Not long after, they came forward.

The motorized man along with the other man behind him drove on his motorcycle to approach the female bodyguard. Likewise with the other two people who were in the distance, they immediately ran after their friend who had already moved first.

"Miss Ana, stay in the car until it's safe!" David said before he got out of the car and helped out.

Ana intends to obey David's orders. He also recalled Marius' message last night, "Don't act rashly, Ana. Let them handle it. Don't get yourself involved in this."

But, when Ana sees one of the men trying to escape and get away from the crowd, everything in Ana's head suddenly disappears.

The man ran to where Ana's car was, lowering his body to avoid being seen by the bodyguards. "Where are you going to run?" Ana said as she opened the car door quickly and hit the man.

The man slumped backwards due to the impact Ana gave him. He held onto his nose which was currently bleeding.

As Ana and the man looked at each other, they remembered something, they had met before.

"Mahaha ... You were the one at that time," Ana said nervously. He did not expect to see the same kidnapper again.

The man immediately took out his pocket knife and prepared in an attacking position. Ana tries to remain calm to see the danger that is threatening her at this time.

The seconds she faced the dangerous man made Ana recall Marius' message. He now understood Marius' intention to not be rash.

Quickly, the man attacked Ana with a knife in his hand. Ana moved back to avoid the attack, but it was still too slow. The knife hit his right hand. Although not deep, but the pain is quite painful. Blood began to pour out from the wound.

As the man tries to attack Ana for the second time, David ambushes her from behind. With a quick movement, he managed to take the weapon out of the man's hands, then hand it over to his men.

"Miss Ana okay?" asked David who saw Ana sitting on the asphalt because her legs were no longer strong enough to support her body. Ana is still arranging her tension, because a second ago, Ana had imagined herself meeting her mother in heaven.

Meanwhile, from the top of a coffee shop, a man was observing the unfolding events underneath. I don't know how long he's been there, but clearly, he's watching all the scenes that are happening below.

Right now his attention was only on a girl sitting on a paved road accompanied by a man beside him, although actually in another corner there are guards who are snatching the criminals who seem to attract the attention of the people around them more.

"Find out who he is" the man said to the other man in front of him, The other man immediately took a picture of the person in question.

Apart from the dangers of tigers, not necessarily be separated from the raging lion. Although Ana survives the crime, Ana still has to face the darkest trial to determine her fate.

"ARE YOU CRAZY, ANA? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

For the first time, Ana sees Marius completely angry.
