Babysitter For Rain

Babysitter For Rain
CHAPTER 33

"Good morning, Miss Ana. I am the servant who will accompany Young Miss Rain during her time at school from today," a servant told Ana as she bowed her body before Ana.

Ana who had just walked out of her room became shocked by what she had just heard.

"From today the Great Lord assigned the maid to deliver the Young Miss to the school. So, Miss Ana does not need to come with him," explained Tian who was next to her.

"W-why suddenly? Did something happen?" asked Ana.

"Nothing happened, Miss Ana. Perhaps the Great Lord wants Miss Ana to rest more," Tian explained again.

"Haha?!"

Ana increasingly did not understand Tian's intentions. Although he knew this was Marius' decision, it was not usual for Marius to do that.

Therefore, Ana felt she wanted to ask him directly. But unfortunately, Marius did not eat breakfast today.

"Tumben he didn't have breakfast? Lucas's not here either," Ana's inner.

"Big Master is currently in his study. He ordered Miss Ana and also Young Miss to have breakfast without Big Master and Mr. Lucas today," Tian said as if knowing what he was thinking.

"Is it okay if she doesn't have breakfast?," thought the worried Ana.

Therefore, Ana went to see him in the study after breakfast. He also brought breakfast to Marius and Lucas in a food cart.

Ana was already preparing at the door and was about to knock on the door, but suddenly the door opened and Lucas was surprised to see Ana.

"Ana's? Do you need anything?"

The nervous Ana tried to calm herself down. He peeked a little behind the door. Marius was sitting at his desk and talking to an airpod in his ear. Marius was heard speaking in a foreign language. Although they did not understand it, Ana thought they were talking about something serious.

"Is Marius busy?," asked Ana half-whispering.

"Ehm .. he's very busy. You want to see?" asked Lucas.

"Eh? Is it okay?," asked Ana who did not expect that Lucas would question her like that.

"I don't think he'll mind" Lucas replied, opening the door for him.

Ana pushes her food cart in carefully, and puts it near the sofa in front of Marius' desk.

"You brought breakfast? You don't have to do it. The waiter will bring it," Lucas said.

"I happen to be here, so I'll just take you with me."

Ana could see how busy Marius was at the moment. He continued to talk non-stop. Lucas could only help beside him, without being able to do much. A few sheets of paper are stacked on the workbench. Marius occasionally saw him before he finally spoke again.

Lucas says this is because the construction of a new trading center is almost complete. The project is planned to be the largest in Asia. Therefore, Marius started to get busy to take care of a lot of things.

What Ana is worried about is when she accidentally sees an almost empty lowball glass on her desk. Ana had no idea what was inside. But obviously, it wasn't a good thing if he drank that drink when he hadn't had breakfast, and that worried him.

"Did he drink often?"

"Ehm .. sometimes. When the stress level starts to go high."

"Is it that heavy as the pressure?," Ana thought.

But then Ana seemed to wake herself up. He immediately turned his attention away from Marius. "Who am I worried about? No, no ... Later will misunderstand it," thought Ana.

Seeing the busy Marius, he finally decided to ask Lucas.

"Do you know why Marius asked me not to take Rain to school?" asked Ana.

"Yes, Marius asked for it yesterday."

"Do you know the reason? I mean, I'm not against his decision. I was just wondering the reason for that sudden. Is there a problem?"

Lucas is seen holding back his laughter before going to answer Ana's question.

"none. There's no problem whatsoever. She ..."

Lucas's conversation was interrupted when Marius suddenly arrived and handed him a stack of books with colorful covers on a nearby table.

Ana was surprised to see Marius suddenly do that. He was even more surprised to see the high pile of books.

"I heard .. you used to take care of some company profiles. So, i-it .. I want you to make it for them," Marius said, pointing to the pile.

"Huh?" Ana became increasingly clueless.

"Your job now .. helped me here during Rain school. Your desk is there," said Marius again pointing to a small desk near Marius' desk. He has a lot of things on it like a work desk, including a laptop.

To Ana's astonishment, she had never seen it before. Since when was that desk there?

"You've never told me to do this before."

"Yes .. it starts now."

Lucas could only hold his laughter behind Ana. He doesn't know what to say.

"You're saying I just need to be a nanny?"

"I told you to work for me. So that means you'll do whatever I tell you to."

Ana could no longer speak. What Marius said was not wrong, but .. why does it feel strange, Ana thought.

Despite the many questions in Ana's head, Ana still does what Marius asks. Not a real hard job for Ana, as this is what she usually does before Ana walks into Marius' house. Ana was just thinking about what really happened here.

The next few days, Ana continued to do the same thing that Marius had asked for. After Rain leaves for school, Ana must meet Marius in her study. During those few days too, Ana saw Marius carrying his lowball glass more and more.

Ana didn't want to ask much. He was worried that Marius would think that he was interfering too much. But occasionally he brought her food or drink and put her next to his desk. Fortunately, Marius had never been angry about this. He seems to enjoy it. And that relieved Ana.

......................

The night that Ana finished putting Rain to sleep, Ana walked out of Rain's room and returned to her room. It was then that he saw Marius lying on the sofa that was in the sitting room.

"Is he drunk again?" asked Ana.

Ana approached Marius slowly. As usual, Marius was holding an empty lowball glass. Ana snorted her breath seeing this. Again, Marius did this here, he thought.

With her index finger, Ana pushed Marius. "You're drunk again, right? Look, I told you, I don't want to take you to your room anymore" Ana said. But Marius did not react.

Ana notices Marius's unusual-looking face.

"Is he okay?" he said again.

Ana called out Marius' name many times while shaking her body slowly. But, Marius was like enduring the pain.

Ana begins to suspect that Marius is not okay. He immediately held Marius' forehead.

"Geez, you have a fever?" asked Ana who was about to scream.

Ana immediately pulled Marius' arm and placed it over his shoulder. Alone, he took Marius to his room, only after that, did he contact Lucas.
